I open my eyes, at least I think I do as I don’t have an physical eyes and I can see everything in a complete 360 degrees around me. My mind is hammered by new sensations I’ve never felt before. It was shocking to say the least. My body feels different too, I can’t move it however for whatever reason it feels normal, it feels really weird, I don’t really know how to explain it however it isn’t as uncomfortable as it could’ve been. My body feels cramped almost as if I was wearing clothes that were too tight, not a size to small but several sizes so I’ll survive. I try to look at myself but I can’t for whatever reason so I switch my focus to my surroundings, and notice I’m in some sort of cavern, just lying on the ground. It isn’t small but then again it isn’t massive. I’d say it’s average but then again I’m not some professional cave measurer.

What to do, what to do, I can’t move or do anything but look at what’s around me. I examine the cave I’m in and I can’t see anything out of the ordinary besides some glowing rocks and I don’t see any tunnels of the the sort in here so I’m stuck, not that it matters because I can’t move. I can feel that annoying creeping sensation of boredom coming back again, that is until a blue screen appears in front of me.

Curious as to what this screen was I decided to humor it, wondering if it was anything like the novels I read while wondering if I was indeed a dungeon.

I just stare at the screen for a few moments until I mentally shake myself out of my stupid and think to myself, “What in the world? It’s a system alright kinda similar to some of the books I’ve read but it’s bugged or something.”

Half of it didn’t make any sense, the amount of mana I have is absurd as well as my regen and claimed area, that didn’t make any sense at all because it would be more than four times the size of earth. The rest is pretty self explanatory but it is saying my core is currently fractured and worries me a bit. It’d suck a lot if I died already. Trying not to think about it, I move on, my current level is 0 and I’m listed as unnamed. Ugh, I have to come up with some super cool name or I might be stuck with something stupid forever. I’ll leave it for later.

I’d rather start having fun so I try to dismiss it by thinking it away and it disappears and I’m left all alone in a dark cave. Well, that’s not entirely true, there’s a glow coming from me that lights up a few feet and there’s a few glowing rocks out and about but I can see everything just fine without any problem. There are various types of metals along the walls and ceiling and many have different colors and a few give off a weird feeling, it’s not bad, it feels good I suppose. Now that I think about it, I have magic which means there’s going to be other magical stuff so it isn’t hard to believe the ores are probably magical in nature. Oh well, just another thing I’ve got to save for later. Boy I have got to start a to do list.

Now onto my mana, the blue screen says I have a ridiculous amount but I don’t know how to use it. Maybe if I focus inward, or something, it usually works in the books I’ve read. I try to stop thinking and not focus on anything. To my vision the world dims however I don’t notice. I feel around for something, anything at all, and there it is, this little tugging in the back of my mind. As soon as I notice it everything clicks into place and things feel more natural, like I’m whole. Nothing happens after that.

“Now what.” I’ve connected with it. I guess it’s time for some trial and error. I bring my attention to the wall farthest away from me and figure it’d be a perfect place to experiment so I don’t accidentally blow myself up somehow.

I focus on just removing a bit some stone and it just disappears, and suddenly my mind is filled with knowledge and I know everything there is know know about it. I unconsciously know I lost a point of mana but I got that point back almost immediately so I don’t really focus on it.

I stare at the screen and my mind fills with annoyance, the screen seemed almost mocking but getting angry at it won’t help me so I dismiss is and look at my results. It says I absorbed stone. I don’t have a clue what that means but I can infer I suppose. I noticed a nagging feeling in the back of my mind and I focus on the similar feeling just like before and a message pops up.

“Neat,” I dismiss the screen and look back at where I started. There’s a hole in the wall and my mind wanders, my mind fills with all sorts of different traps, puzzles, monsters and people of all walks of life that I’ll get to meet. I grow excited and I start laughing, I haven’t been this excited in a while.

When I calm down I decide that now would be a great time as any to start my dungeon. I begin by removing the stone at the walls of the cave, aiming for a perfect cube shaped room in mind. I start of slowly at first removing just a bit until I pick up the pace and everything goes smoothly, my will removes the stone as if it were butter and all of it goes into the pocket dimension in my head. It isn’t long until I get to one of the many ores. This one is a greenish color and looks like a normal rock. I will the ore away noticing that it’s slightly harder to absorb so I use more mana and a good bit finally gets removed. Expecting the screen this time, it appears.

Now that’s surprising, I always figured mythril was a legendary metal according to mythology however I thought that it was extremely rare. I’m surrounded in the stuff, it’s all scattered about the cave and some of the metals feel even stronger that it. I grow excited at the prospect of being rich until reality hits and I realize I can’t do much with it anyhow, nothing to buy and nobody to give it to. I mentally sign and resolved myself to preparing my dungeon as fast as I can in case anyone tries to get to me. That’s where the real fun will begin.

In the realm of gods, another meeting is taking place, they are all bickering back and forth until a voice shouts, “Silence!”

The room begins to quiet until silence reigns and everyone is looking at the figure.

“Has anyone found out about the planet, Boris, tell me you found something out.”

A shady looking man wearing leather armor of some sort, presumably Boris, speaks up, “Not a clue, however like normal I can’t go near it, there are some metals inside it that won’t let divines on it. However while I was near I tried to scry it but I couldn’t which means Amara was probably right, it’s possible it could be a dungeon.”

“Preposterous! A dungeon of that size can’t exist! How could one even spawn there!” shouted a man with wolf like ears.

“The planet did form from several stars and a nearby plane eons ago, the mana there has always had the potential to create one.” mumbled the scholarly demon-like man.

“The things the dungeon would make would be unlike anything we’ve seen before, well hopefully.” Stated another god.
