“Where do you think you’re going?”
The dragon screamed as one of the human females ran off on her own. Between one lone female and the big group, the dragon quickly made the choice of ignoring the escaping female and focused on the larger group running into the city. Below him, numerous humans were screaming in terror. The dragon found that he quite like the sound. Then the inevitable happened. Another of the human females ran off on her own.
The dragon was now annoyed. He could allow one of his prey escaping, but two? That was just embarrassing! The dragon kept track of the lone escaping female and saw that she was running towards a large group of humans. The dragon swooped down from the air and as the female reached the group, he flew over them and released his breath. Dozens of humans fell dead as the dragon flew by.
“That’ll teach you to run from me!”
The dragon crowed as the humans below just heard a roar. Having lost sight of the main group of human females, the dragon flew higher, hoping to catch sight of them and resumed the chase. He looked around and found that there were humans running all over the place. There was no way for him to locate the group of females! Wait a moment…what’s he doing? Why is he even bothering to look for just one group of humans? Sure the group of human females looked appetizing but why is he actively hunting them? He could just kill all of the humans in the city right? When he realized this, the dragon almost stopped flying again. Of course he could do that!
The dragon flew lower. Then he stretched his wings out vertical to the ground and for a moment came to a dead stop, hanging in the air. The dragon released a big mist of green poison, not bothering to aim but instead swinging his head to spread the mist as wide as possible. Soon an entire section of the human city was covered in green poison and the dragon could see numerous human dropping dead within the green mist.

The dragon was delighted. With so many dead, he’s going to have a great feast later. The dragon resumed his flight and flew on to another section of the city intending to do the same thing. He never got there.
Five blue balls of magic flew up towards him. The dragon never seen this spell before and didn’t know what the balls of magic did but he knew he did not want to find out. The dragon flew away from the magic and immediately saw a volley of arrows flying his way. The dragon quickly flew lower to avoid the volley and then he saw him. A man was jumping from the roof of one of the higher buildings up towards him.
“No man could jump so high! A skill?”
That’s all the dragon thought before he felt the searing pain in his belly. He looked down and saw the sword. The man had stabbed him! The dragon roared as he plunged to the ground. The loud sound that erupted when the dragon crashed could be heard throughout the city.
The dragon got up and took the sword out of his body. The warrior who attacked him lay dead on the ground, not being able to survive the crash. He didn’t know who the warrior was but he knew that the human was what the Kin would call brave. The dragon nodded his head at the fallen human in appreciation. Even if he wasn’t exactly sure what it was, he felt that he had just witnessed something great. The dragon looked around him, and waited.
Moments later, he heard them. Footsteps, hundreds of them. Then the dragon saw the first of the humans. The warrior saw him and the dragon knew that the human was afraid. His legs was clearly shaking but like the warrior who attacked him, this human was brave. He screamed and then rushed towards the dragon in a blind rage. Behind him, numerous other humans followed. The dragon almost smiled.
“Food!”
