Nick stared up into the sky with awe. Just after entering the magnificent void gate that was as tall as a skyscraper. Nick was in awe of the gate of such a size but was more surprised by the sight in front of him. Around him was a large square with many people moving about. With large beasts with saddles or pulling carts to small vehicles moving about.
What really caught Nick's attention though was not the square but the sky above. Reminding Nick of his home world with a bright blue sky. The stellar bodies floating in the sky so numerous he could count a dozen before his vision was obscured by distance and the planets in the sky. From the greenery and large seas he could see from where he stood he could tell they where habitable. With tiny points that Nick guessed was towns and city's showing they have been colonized by the aborigines of the Delian Realm. Looking away from the amazing site in the sky Nick looked around the large square again. Before Nick could take a step a large lizard with someone sitting on its back walked up next to him and stopped. The young man looking down at Nick from the back of the lizard asked "Are you new to the realm? Do you need directions for where you are heading?" Looking at the large reptile and its very sharp teeth so close to Nick tensed up for a second before realizing the lizard had ignored him. Slowly stepping forward Nick handed the man the letter that Midas had given him earlier while saying "I am looking for the Sky Institute."
Riding on the behind the man Nick rode the lizard through the streets as he was taken to his destination. While going through the streets Nick could see many shops along the way selling various goods with different designs showing creativity and the complex culture of the realm. While on the way to there destination Nick and the man who has given him a ride explained the general information of the realm. "The Sky Institute is one of the biggest Institutes for the powerful in the Delian Realm and has been operating for thousands of years. It has a deep history with many graduate's taking important positions in the realm. While the Institute is here in the realm it happens to be one of the core planets of the realm and is in the center area. Traveling there is a pain for normal people as the fees to use the teleportation array cost an arm and a leg. Luckily you have a letter of acceptance to the Institute so the fees have been waved and they will teleport you directly to Sky Institutes planet when we arrive at the teleportation square." Nick was shocked after the last comment by his guide after Midas did not tell him anything about the letter. Learning that it was an acceptance letter Nick was slightly stunned. He had heard that he would have to pass a few tests to see if he was even suitable to practice in the Institute. Recovering from the small shock the guide had given him Nick continued to listen to him ramble on.
It did not take long for them to reach there destination jumping from the oversized lizard Nick thanked the guide that has taken him all the way here. Walking over to the Gentlemen standing in the square next to a booth set up in front of the array. Nick walked over and handed the acceptance letter over to the controller of the array. Looking at the letter the man handed it back to Nick "The next trip to the Sky Institute will be in a hours time you will have to wait till the appointed time." Nick nodded in understanding and thanked the man. After all using the array just for one person is to much of a waste. The main reason traveling with teleportation arrays is the energy used up in the activation did not come cheaply. Even though his fee has been waved he still had to wait. Nick looked around the small square and decided to take a small walk during the time he needed to wait. Walking down the nearest street Nick looked at a few shops near him with interest he soon passed them by when he saw they only sold ordinary products. Along the way he glanced down a small alleyway down the alley way is an old shop while open he could not tell what they sold. With nothing else to did Nick walked down the alley and walked through the door of the old shop. As he walked in a bell lightly jingled from above the door looking around he could see a variative of items scattered around. While Nick had no idea what most of the items did or what they where he still looked at them with interest. There where some weapons hung up around on the wall from bows and arrows to giant great swords that look like they could only be held by giants.

Passing walking by a shelf near by the door he could even see a few glass balls full of liquid. The odd thing about it was the liquid would slosh around by itself as if trying to escape. While looking closer a pair of eyes looked at him from the liquid. Startled Nick took a step back seeing nothing else happened Nick looked again at the liquid. Seeing that the eyes where formed from the liquid itself Nick was fascinated after all this would mean that the liquid inside could be a living thing. Taking a better look at the shelf the ball sat on he could see there was many balls with different colored liquids inside. At this time a voice came from next to Nick startling him. "You seem to be very interested in the slimes." Looking at the boy that had appeared next to him at some point.
"They are called slimes?" Nick replied. "That's right they are pretty good pets very easy to take care of. You don't even need to find specific foods to feed them there bodies are acidic allowing them to break almost anything down. Many people keep them around to take care of the trash or leave them around to play with when bored." Nik while listening to the boy talk stared at the slimes with fascination saying "They are very cute but wont people worry about being eaten by the slimes?" "While slimes can digest almost anything they don't tend to eat living beings." Picking up a purple slime from the shelf he continued. "Slimes are different colors because of the different attributes they possess for example this purple one is poison slime. Blue is water, red is fire, green is wind, and the brown one is earth. Are you interested in buying one?" Looking at all of the types of slimes Nick was tempted. While he didn't get paid for his work outside of his normal jobs he was given he had helped the other workers out and had gotten a few coins here and there. He had manage to save fifty silver in the last five years, looking at the boy deciding he wanted to buy a slime for fun. "How much for one of the slimes?" Smiling the boy replied "For the clear slime I can give you a discount just ten silver all of the others can control an element therefore they are more expensive at one gold coin." Hearing this Nick was stunned he did not think that the elemental slimes would be so expensive after all from what he was just told they where pretty common. Seeing Nick's confusion the boy explained. "The slimes that are usually kept around to eat the scrapes are the clear slimes after all they don't need an element to clear the trash." Nodding in understanding Nick still decided to buy a slime. "I will take one of the clear ones." "Good choice you wont regret it they are cute little guys. However make sure to keep an eye on them they tend to reproduce quickly if they are overfed." Handing over the coins to the boy he continued saying "If your interested in anything else please check quickly I have to close the shop soon."
Glancing around Nick decided to leave the shop thanking the boy for the slime and heading back to the teleporter. Nick arrived just as the gentlemen from before called out that those who are going to the Sky Institute are to head towards the marked area of the array. Walking over to the marked area where a few other kids around Nicks age stood. The operator called out for the last time "Everyone going to the Sky Institute needs to be on the marked platform now." As he finished calling out Nick could here a cry from a short distance away "Wait for me I need to go as well!" Looking over he could see the boy from the shop that sold him the slime. A few seconds later he had joined the rest of the people on the platform and saw Nick he waved and then looked at the operator. "I'm ready to go now thank you sir for waiting." With a snort the gentlemen snorted slightly and started the array.
