Night came and the forest was blanket with total darkness. There was not a single light yet a pair of eyes gleamed in the darkness.

Bando Ren had quite a day. Playing around near the close perimeter of the den with his brother turned out to be quite an enjoyable time. All that running around brought quite a haul for Ren.

His running skill achieved level 4 in a single day. Quite an achievement. He should have been tired and fell asleep yet he was up staring out at the eternal darkness.

In the viewpoint of a human, it would be pitch blackness but Ren could see clear as day.

This is cool, I can see in the dark. It’s similar to a night vision camera.

Night vision is also a skill? Didn’t think about that. I thought night vision was kind of like a biological trait. Never mind, as long as it could be improved I’m on board in staying up late at night.

For some reason, Bando Ren was taking it well being alive as a wolf pup. It was easy for him to adapt quickly like a stroll in the park. Usually one would probably hug their knees at the corner of the room or a den in his case for about a week before he could realize the reality of it. Yet Bando Ren was a man who knew what could not be changed. There was no point in sulking around as a wolf pup, it’s better to just live through the day and enjoy what life can bring.

He spent an hour staring at the outside of the den and good news came follow through.

Nice! Eh, what’s that?

Out from the corner of his night vision eyes. He saw something moving behind the thicket. Ren noticed what it was as he stoops down his head close to the ground.

He tried to flatten his body as much as he could as his whole body trembled in fear.

His night vision allowed him to saw the silhouette of a tall two-legged figure. It was covered with fur all over and the long limbs of this humanoid-like creature were the prominent features of this creature.

It walked around the area a few times before it left. Ren noticed of how the creature’s eyes always gazing towards the den. An ounce of worry crept inside of his heart.

It’s only my first day being here and there’s bigfoot stalking around. Damn it! What the hell does he want snooping around our den?

Ren intention of spending the night upping his night vision turned to dust as it vanished after seeing that stalking creature.

He slowly retreated to the inner depth of the den as he snuggled around with his brethren. The mother silverback red wolf was sleeping inside of the den as it came back a short while before the sun goes down.

Ren rested his head against the comfortable fur of the mother wolf as he then dozed to sleep.

Later on, he woke up the moment he fell asleep.

Eh? Where am I? Shouldn’t I be sleeping right now? Woah, I’m human again!

Ren appeared in his previous human form in a vast white area. He was stark naked yet he didn’t mind since having finger especially the thumb made him felt delighted.

After having his fun playing around with his usual human self. He began to look around the whole white area.

Where the hell is this, why is there too many things going on right now? Can’t I just stay like a dog for a while. Hmm… What’s that?

Ren sight caught something that wasn’t white. It was floating in mid-air. An old looking scroll. He walked closer until he was only an arm length distance away.

He reached out with his hand but then the scroll suddenly unrolled itself revealing a diagram.

A diagram of a hot steaming mantou. Five mantou served on a plate. It was a pretty strange diagram yet he couldn’t help but to gulped down his saliva. It’s been a whole day and all he filled his stomach with was the milk from the mother wolf.

Not actually suitable to his human taste.

The diagram looks vivid as if it was in real life. The steam waved above the hot piping mantou further antagonizing Ren’s hunger.

Man those buns look tempting. On second thought being a wolf pup really suck in term of delicacy. Wait! Do I need to eat raw meat? Aw, damn it!

While Ren was frustrated to the fact that in the near future that he needed to consume raw meat, he then gave up those that thought and just stared at the mantou diagram.

Minutes later, something incredible happened.

Time passed and the chime of a bell resounded in the vast wide space.

Ren sight started to fade as his head felt light headed. The last thing he saw before his eyes totally close was the game notification.
