Timelines:

CANON - they executed Cleo.

CURRENT - Cleo lives and is replaced by Leila.

Important Characters:

Cleo - the antagonist of the original novel series Leila read at the beginning of book one. She died by execution in the canon timeline.

Leila - is the protagonist of the current timelines and book series. She is from the real world, having read the original series as a student. She inherited Cleo's scrapped magical abilities and health issues. She can only return to the real world after defeating the royal family and any of Cleo's other enemies.

The Crown Prince - the protagonist of the original novel series and Cleo's ex-fiancee. He suddenly fell in love with a young girl and abandoned Cleo. He's cowardly and has severe daddy issues. Possible pedo.

The Prince's Consort - the young girl the prince fell for with a striking resemblance to Cleo. Revealed to have sent contract killers after the woman and is now next in line as the Queen/Prince's wife.

Alek - Cleo's older brother, who left her to die in the original series. He ignored Cleo's letters when she was becoming more erratic in the castle. In the current timeline, he's her potential lover, a one-sided attraction due to guilt over her near death.

Ezekiel - The guard of Cleo and her forgotten childhood friend. He was a child slave who was taken by the same man who killed Cleo's sister—ended up being briefly under mind control until the end of Book One. Is the only one aware that Leila and Cleo are different people.

Third Princess Minerva - The famous third princess used dark purple magic and entered a vegetative state after helping win the war. They described her as having green hair and the daughter of a small royal family in a puppet nation.

Silver and Gray are based on sex, with Gray being male and Silver being female.

Dark Red and Turquoise are the most common.

Dark Purple is the most dangerous and uncommon type of have. It slowly kills the user.
