Remuka's remedy

Chapter 11

Remuka’s Remedy

Remuka was frightened when she heard the voice of an orc, she turned suddenly and drew her knife, but the orc just smile.

He said, “Don’t worry Remuka, daughter of the King, the sorceress. We are here because of the dimensioner.”

“You are lying” said Remuka panting.

The orc laughed and said, “Follow me if you will for the good of the realm.”

The orc lead the way. Remuka after thinking whether to follow or not, after a moment she went after the orc, the orc was carrying firelight.

The orc said, “Your father was a good man, united the realm against all odds. Now forces are rising to disintegrate it and you are one among the persons whose contribution values most.”

“I am just a sorceress and nothing else, there are more powerful beings than me and you.”

“I am a wizard, you know?”

“An orc a wizard!”

“Huh, the usual surprise.”

“But that’s…”

“Unusual, hysteric, foolish. I can’t understand the psychology of you humans who consider themselves alone worthy of magic and power and you know only one type of power.”

“Why are you doing this.”

“Because I care for the realm.”

The tale has been stolen; if detected on Amazon, report the violation.

“Then step up and fight.” shouted Remuka. She continued, “I, Remuka, is not fighting due to the lack of power but you who has power are supposed to fight. If I had those powers, then…”

Then you would not have done anything. Wars and Peace are not won by emotions alone, but by tactics. I am here to train you to make you a doo-dad.”

“A what?”

“Doo-Dad.”

“What is that?”

“Your knowledge of power is very less. Doo-dads are wizards who have affinity to nature. They are born with certain instincts and can be trained after a lot of hardwork, but you are selected to combine both arch-magic and green magic, so as to save he realm. You will be powerful soon.”

They kept on walking silently. On the path they saw many individual beings like orc, goblin and others too, the Reverill forest being the hub of many beings both savage and civilized. To the world outside it was of animals and other monsters where the higher beings like humans and elves are not allowed to move, while the real fact was that the King had made a covenant with them, such as to separate kingdoms hence ensuring peace.

They reached a place covered with different beings forming a semicircle and three sitting on the top of another semicircle.

The orc said, “Bow down before the council, Remuka.”

“The council of what.”

“The council of green followers.”

“Remuka hesitated for some time, then, she seeing that she had no other option and due to her faith in Caddernod, bowed.

The one who sat at the centre told, “Rise Remuka, daughter of the King. Why and what do you seek.”

“Knowledge and power.” said Remuka.

“Of what.”

“Of greenery.”

“Then rise Remuka, for from now, you shall be trained to be a doo-dad”

Remuka rose, so did the one at the centre. He said, “Obora, you have a new student to train.”

“With pleasure your majesty.” said the orc who had brought Remuka from the center of the forest to the center of the civilization.

Obora and Remuka had been walking for a long time, heading to the house of Obora. They had taken their leave from the council who discarded itself until needed to be formed.

Obora led Remuka into his house which was normal, yet big to the standards of orcs in front of the eyes of Remuka, who had been forced to release the false tales of the savage beasts as heard.

The house was on a tree, which just seemed to be a door but when opened led into the tree, which formed a house. These kinds of houses were common for doo-dads.

Obora said, “From this moment Remuka, you shall be trained by me for what you want to be.”

“Is this where I am going to stay?”

“No, this is where I stay.”

“So what about me?”

“That is your first lesson, you have no house from now on and you will be among the wild sleep among the wild, eat among the wild without using any of your sorcery skills.”

“But what of my training?”

“That is your training, this is the only place where I will guide you and then you are on your own while you have mastered green magic. I am not to train but just to say these words.”

“And”

“I have said those words, now you may go away, survive if you can or be dead.”

“But am I not going to get any spell book or something.”

“Every doo-dad makes his own spell having meaning to only him.”

“So”

“So, get out.”

Obora gave her a package of food and opened the door.

“This is just for as you are beginner, never be seen here.”

As soon as Remuka got out, Obora close the door. Remuka not knowing what to do turned to see just a tree. She headed on her own way and tries to use her magic but it didn’t work now. She sat on a rock and ate her food, the last food she was going to ear as a civilized food.

She gave a sigh and wished just to be home. She started on her way again, seeking shelter, cause it had started turning night.
