Gwen

...

"Flash, I heard that you are a school bully and often target weaker classmates," Lucas Mason said with a smirk. "I also like bullying, but I prefer to bully bullies... Hahahaha! Does the mashed potato taste good?"

[Villain value +50, +50, +50…]

This voice sounded particularly satisfying to Lucas's ears.

"And you!" Lucas pointed at the crowd, moving his gaze over everyone. "You guys are terrible! When you see your classmates being bullied, you don't dare to help, and you even laugh at their misfortune. Isn't it funny? Think about this poor thin boy, Peter, and Flash's face full of mashed potatoes. I believe he will never want to eat mashed potatoes again! But no one dares to help him! It's so cold!" Lucas said loudly. "Of course, except for the lovely classmate Missy Kallenback."

The villain points surged dramatically, showing that Lucas's verbal attack on everyone was highly effective.

"F*ck, shut your mouth, monkey!" A tall black classmate charged at Lucas. He was also a key player on the school's men's team and stood nearly two meters tall.

Lucas pushed the miserable Flash aside and took out the dinner plate. He dodged the black classmate's attack and slapped the plate, sending the remaining mashed potatoes onto the black classmate's head.

"Duang!" The black classmate's ears rang as the mashed potatoes splattered on him.

"Duang!" Lucas struck again. "Racist?"

"Duang!" Lucas held his nose with one hand. "You are truly a mobile air pollution machine!"

"Duang!"

"Hey, Mr.Lucas, I have something to tell you!" Gwen Stacy hurriedly walked in holding a book. Lucas lifted the black classmate with one hand and picked up a paper towel from the table to wipe the mashed potatoes off his face.

"Why are you so careless! Be careful when you walk next time; don't fall down." Lucas said with a concerned expression. He whispered, "You know better, get out of here, or you might find yourself shoved into a toilet bowl next time."

The black classmate ran away in a hurry. This transfer student was a devil!

"Hey, so why are you guys still standing around?" Lucas asked the crowd. "Isn't it fun to watch a poor classmate fall into mashed potatoes?"

The crowd quickly dispersed. No one wanted to provoke Lucas now.

Gwen approached Lucas, glancing at the name recorded in the notebook: Lucas M. Mason

"Is that what I should call you? Mr. Lucas?

"Just call me Lucas. Nice to meet you."

Seeing the gentle smile on Lucas's face, Gwen wondered if he had done the atrocities just now.

"My name is…"

"Gwen Stacy." Lucas said first. "I know."

"Why are you asking them for my name?"

"Um... I just asked them who the most beautiful girl in this school is, and they told me the name is Gwen Stacy." Lucas said with a serious face.

"Thank you... well that's not the point!" Gwen's face turned rosy. "So what were you doing just now? I seem to have seen something troubling."

"There's nothing troubling; everything is great!" Lucas affirmed. "Just now, two classmates fell into the mashed potatoes, and I kindly helped them up!"

"Fell into mashed potatoes... or two people?" Gwen sighed. "Okay, these are not the main issues. You have just transferred. I want to inform you about some school rules. If you bully classmates here, you will face disciplinary action, which can range from community service to severe punishments, including expulsion."

"Very good rules!" Lucas nodded. "This is how school bullies who target their classmates should be punished! I agree, after all, I am not that kind of person, and I was willing to help others just now… So you came to inform me of something?"

"Oh! I do have something to inform you. You have been assigned to my study group by the teacher." Gwen almost forgot what she was saying due to Lucas's interruptions. "We will start our study plan after school this afternoon.

"Okay." Lucas said. "No problem, I love learning!"

Gwen stopped talking. If she hadn't held Lucas's report card copied from the teacher in her hand, she would have believed his words...

The warm sun shone slantingly into the classroom, and Gwen's study group started at three o'clock.

Lucas also met an acquaintance in the study group, Flash. The mashed potatoes on his face had been wiped clean, but there were still some scratches, and he looked a bit embarrassed.

[Villain value +10, +10, +10…]

Flash stared at Lucas fiercely, but he likely didn't take action due to the occasion or the difference in strength.

Lucas sat down next to Flash in a familiar manner. "I'm so happy to see you. How are you doing this afternoon, Flash? Have you been to the campus hospital? Uh... I mean, you might have suffered a slight concussion from the fall at noon. I suggest you visit the school doctor's office to see ,my friend."

Seeing Gwen's surprised expression, Lucas said, "I just met my friend here at noon!"

He nudged Flash with his shoulder. "Right, Flash?"

"Hiss!" Flash flinched, recalling the bruise left from Lucas's earlier action.

Flash nodded humiliatingly, recalling how Lucas had picked him up with one hand earlier...

[Villain value +10, +10, +10…]

"Well, I'm glad you can become friends." Gwen said helplessly. "Now we need to start studying."

The main task of the study group was to complete homework. After Lucas finished his homework, he took out his phone to play with it, waiting for Gwen to collect the homework from the other members first.

He read a tweet from the New York Daily Bugle News.

"Recently, a mysterious man in black appeared in Queens. He fights criminals and protects the people. Many citizens said they were rescued by him when they encountered drug addicts and gangsters. He even cracked a case of drug dealing by gangsters last night! People call him a superhero. Let's hear what the police have to say about him..."

"Are you interested in these news? Do you want to be a superhero? So you helped Peter at noon?" Gwen came to sit in front of him and picked up his homework book.

Lucas turned off his phone. "No, no, no, I didn't even think about helping anyone."

"I'm not interested in this superhero either." He raised his phone and said meaningfully, "Even if he was a hero yesterday, who knows if he'll turn into an evil criminal tonight?"

"Justice and evil are always opposites. I think the man in black will stick to his justice!" Gwen said while looking at Lucas's homework.

"Then I can only disappoint you," Lucas thought to himself.

The man in black, the rookie hero, was actually Lucas himself, and he did all this just to find a way to increase his power.

Now he had found a method, but it wasn't a righteous path.

"Your homework is well done, classmate Lucas." Gwen returned the homework to him. "You can go now. I wish you a happy afternoon, and remember to be more cautious when you come to school tomorrow morning. Flash won't be willing to let things go."

"Tomorrow is the weekend, but after listening to you, I'm already looking forward to next Monday. I think it will be interesting." Lucas began to pack his schoolbag.

"Do you need help?" Lucas asked, looking at the blackboard and the messy tables and chairs.

"I can manage on my own." Gwen declined with a smile. "See you next week."

"I should see you tomorrow." Lucas smiled and walked straight out of the classroom.

Gwen looked at Lucas's back and felt a bit strange. Tomorrow was Saturday, and she was going to the Osborne Group for an internship. How could she see him?
