New York City Center, Hyatt Hotel
Harry Winston's jewelry filled the entire floor. After the ball, several exquisite treasures were set to be auctioned.
Most guests came to network, as only the richest and most influential individuals in New York were invited.
Harry Winston, the top luxury brand, was famed for its jewelry, and owning a piece meant prestige. The ballroom glowed softly, illuminated by a 19th-century chandelier, while the polished marble floors reflected the movements of waitstaff. On display were dazzling, rare jewels, their total starting price exceeding $50 million.
While the auction proceeded, the crowd chatted about finance and business. Few indulged in the gourmet cuisine, even though it was flown in from around the world.
"Sold for $4.9 million!" announced the auctioneer, his hammer hitting the podium. "This 'Aphrodite's Tears' now belongs to Mr. Morgan. May he be favored by the God of Love!"
Applause followed, as the evening's highlight began with three more prized jewels, all starting at over $5 million.
Then, abruptly, gunshots rang out. The auctioneer collapsed, blood pouring from his chest as the crowd screamed in terror. Silenced gunfire sprayed through the room, leaving several people dead.
"Everyone, don't move!" a masked man shouted from the stage. "Squat and hold your heads! Whoever moves will be shot!"
A robber in a skull mask swiftly gathered the unsold jewelry. He targeted the previous buyers, and anyone who hesitated met a swift end. Even Mr. Morgan handed over his newly acquired Aphrodite's Tears without protest.
The venue's signal was blocked, and the robbers began taking valuables from the guests. Anyone who resisted was shot on the spot.
A thin, young boy stood at the end of the line, head bowed in fear. His trembling hands dropped a candy wrapper into the robbers' bag, and the skull-masked man sneered, preparing to shoot him for the insult.

But when the boy raised his head, the robber froze. A demonic mask covered the boy's face, its terrifying lifelike features exuding an eerie aura. The boy smiled — a chilling, sinister smile.
As gunfire erupted from a nearby Uzi, the boy disappeared into thin air. Panic spread among the robbers as they tried to find him.
Lucas Mason, now invisible, adjusted his tie and deactivated the power of the Snake Talisman. "Gentlemen, are you looking for me?" he asked, reappearing. The skull-masked man turned just as a fiery blast engulfed him.
"Dragon Talisman: Fire Blast."
(The user of the Dragon Talisman gains the Power of Combustion, which allows them to shoot powerful fire blasts capable of causing immense destruction.)
Lucas commented, unimpressed, "Your mask is so ugly."
Before the other robbers could react, Lucas activated the Rabbit Talisman, moving at extreme speed, effortlessly dodging their bullets. He reappeared, taunting a nearby robber before turning his gun on him, making the man shoot his friend.
There were gunshots and everyone emptied their magazines, but a strange scene happened again, and the boy with the devil mask disappeared again! Only a corpse with a completely melted head was left lying on the floor. Looking at the headless corpse, unknown fear spread in their hearts.
[Villain value +100, +100, +100...]
Lucas relished in their growing fear, enjoying the increase in villain points from the terrified robbers and guests alike. Invisibility and supernatural speed allowed him to easily deal with more criminals.
"It's not a good habit to point your gun at others." he came to a robber, "I bet there are no bullets in your gun!"
"Fu*k!" The robber raised his gun and shot decisively!
Suddenly, his hand could no longer hold the gun with the huge power that hit him! The gun was pointed at him in an instant and he was still holding it with a broken hand, then the trigger was pulled inexplicably, as if he committed suicide with a gun!
Gunshots rang out, and the robbers fell to the ground one by one, pieces of their brains scattered on the floor.
"I'm so sorry, I lost the bet!"
Lucas sighed and became invisible again.
Looking at this horrifying scene in the venue, Fear filled everyone. Whether it was the robbers or the innocent guests, the devil didn't seem to be here to seek justice...it was more like he was here to spread fear and create destruction. Enjoy killing these robbers?
No one fired anymore, they looked at each other, and finally their eyes fell on the man with devil mask. he was playing with another robber now. It's the best time to stop and run now.
"Are you leaving already? It's so boring!" Lucas suddenly spoke, and the voice was so frightening that all the robbers stopped.
As the surviving robbers considered retreat, Lucas proposed a game. "Why don't we play 1-2-3 Statue game? If you move when I turn around, you die."
The room fell into chaos as Lucas, still masked, toyed with his prey, smiling behind his devil mask as his villain value skyrocketed.
