Rogg, Cole, and Fellia were all waiting for the edibles to kick in. They were hanging out in the newly dubbed living room on the second floor. It used to be Rogg's bedroom, but Cole decided to turn it into a living room. It's just the right size for a good party night. Right now, the room only had three wooden chairs and a table. It was obviously lacking, but it was better than the former cafeteria, which was now full of weed. Cole planned on improving the living room later on.
Cole had just eaten seven cookies around ten minutes ago. Unlike smoking, it takes time for the effects to show when eating edibles. For most people, that starts at around the 30-minute mark. However, Cole was already getting impatient.
"These edibles ain't shit!"
He decided to use the oldest trick in the book and started to trash talk the edibles. This is a commonly used strategy to make the edibles angry and thus, making them work faster. The cookies had been made using leaves, so Cole didn't have high expectations anyway.
Rogg didn't feel much either and expressed his concerns.
"I'm not really feeling the same as when smoking. Are you sure this eating method works?"
"Yeah, it takes time for them to get digested though. It should start working within at least an hour."
"One hour? Dammit..."
It seemed like the edibles heard them, as Cole started to feel high just minutes later. He still wasn't expecting to get overly stoned, but at least now he knew they worked.
"Oh wow, I'm starting to feel it already! We might be able to sell the next batch!"
It wasn't even 15 minutes ago when Cole ate the first cookie, and the effects were already kicking in. Most of the time, edibles reach their peak at around 2-3 hours after eating them, so feeling high in just 15 minutes was a very good sign. It could be that eating seven at once made the process faster. A couple of minutes later, Rogg also seemed to notice it.
"Yeah, you're right! It's slowly starting to work. How about you, Fellia?"
"Um... No, it's not working. Did I do something wrong?"
Fellia's metabolism was likely slower, and she wasn't getting high just yet. She didn't know this and was quick to blame herself. Rogg was just as clueless about the topic but quickly reassured her anyway.
"Nah, it can't be your cooking. I've never eaten anything as good as those cookies. Right, Cole?"
Rogg looked at him and immediately burst out laughing. Cole had unknowingly dazed out and was staring at the wall intensely. The edibles had hit him like a truck while Rogg and Fellia were talking.
"Hahaha! Cole, what the fuck? Don't tell me you're this fucked up already."
Cole slowly came back to his senses but was obviously high as fuck. He responded sleepily as if he'd just been woken up.
"Huh...? What did you just say?"
"Cole, how high are you?"
"Uh... I don't know... 180 centimetres?"
Rogg once again lost it. His edibles were quickly starting to kick in as well.
Fellia just watched the absurd situation from the side while chuckling under her breath. Rogg had been laughing uncontrollably for a good two minutes now, and it didn't seem like Cole was about to come back to his senses any time soon. She was getting quite hungry and headed into the kitchen to cook something for the three of them.

After the Drug Store's success, there was no longer a need to eat sparingly. Fellia knew this and decided chicken would be the main ingredient. She started to cook while still feeling completely sober.
The three weed cookies were finally starting to do their job, but Fellia only noticed it midway through the cooking process after she had prepared two chickens on accident. It was too late to go back now, so she decided to make tomorrow's dinner as well. She kept getting hungrier as she cooked and started to get restless. She made quite a few sloppy mistakes but managed to cook both chickens at the same time nonetheless. Most cooks would have considered this quite impressive.
After a while, both of the meals were ready. She had made a roasted chicken with various vegetables neatly spread around it. It was quite well cooked, considering how high the cook was. Sober Fellia would have surely considered this a failure. However, that didn't matter right now, as she just wanted to eat. She brought the two chickens into the living room.

Cole had thought the leaves would have somewhere between 0-4% THC, but it seems like he made a slight miscalculation somewhere. In reality, the leaves had almost 8% THC. That is a huge amount considering they are just leaves. The plants were created using Cole's wishes, so that's probably why they were so potent. Fellia had used about 10 grams for 15 cookies, meaning Cole had eaten almost 400mg of THC. For reference, the normal dose for beginners is under 50mg. As a result, Cole was lost in his own world for quite a while. He was now slowly returning back to life.
Holy fuck. I don't even remember the last time I've been this high. Maybe it was back in grade 11? Somehow it's not as bad as I remembered.
It's common knowledge that you can't overdose on cannabis, but that doesn't mean taking too much is a pleasant experience. A lot of the time, it could cause anxiety or panic attacks, completely ruining the experience. It felt like Cole had also gained immunity to these side effects after getting morphed into a demon, as he felt quite relaxed instead.
I wish we had some food ready...
Cole was barely awake and didn't have the energy to make even a sandwich. The munchies were eating at him every second, and he couldn't get food due to his own laziness.
However, this seemed to be Cole's lucky day, as a roasted chicken appeared on the table in front of him. It felt like God had heard his prayer and granted him a beautiful chicken personally made by the best cook in heaven.
Upon closer look, Cole realized God didn't make the chicken, but a Goddess instead. It was Fellia, who had prepared two roasted chicken at just the right time. She even knew how hungry everyone was and made two. Cole had truly chosen amazing friends. He was about to cry out of happiness as he tried his best to thank Fellia.
"Thank you for the food!"
Home-cooked food is truly the best!
The scent of freshly made chicken filled Cole's nose while he looked at the beauty. The chicken was cooked to near perfection, and Fellia had even made vegetables look delicious. Her way of presenting the dish was truly a work of art. Cole could easily spend hours admiring the beauty if it wasn't for his senses telling him to eat it.
Cole cut a piece of chicken and put it in his mouth. If he ever had to describe the feeling of euphoria, he now knew where to come, as the taste of the chicken was far out of this world. Eating good food while high is one of Cole's favourite hobbies, and Fellia's cooking was far better than just good.
It seemed like Cole feels this way every time he eats while high, but this time it was truly something else. Nothing could even come close to the taste of this chicken. Not even Rogg's bread or an apple pipe.
Rogg joined in on eating the chicken and shared Cole's thoughts about it. They would have to ask for Fellia's cooking more often in the future.
Just one of the chickens would be large enough to feed a family of four, but they were both eaten in under 15 minutes. Fellia could only eat half of hers and gave the rest for Cole and Rogg.
Everyone ate their fill and started to get sleepy. Cole and Rogg both passed out in the living room. Their positions didn't look too comfortable on the wooden chairs, and they would surely have a sore back in the morning.
Fellia was the only one still awake. She had only eaten three weed cookies and wasn't quite as high as Cole or Rogg.
Sigh, These guys...
She couldn't let the two fall asleep on a wooden chair and carried both of them to their beds. Fellia was much stronger than she looked and carried them one by one without much trouble. Afterwards, she also headed to bed.
Cole was happy and ended up having one of the best nights of sleep in his entire life. He was already very glad of his choice to hire Fellia. If he was a video game character, his affection meter with her must have risen by at least a dozen points throughout the day.
On the next morning, Cole remembered something.
Oh crap. I forgot the bong...
