Scum

My name is Lu J King, my nickname is LuJay. I lived in Seatac, Washington in the USA. I’m a short 5’4” 30 year old dude. I have dark brown hair, blue eyes, and warm beige skin. I used to like staying inside all day, staying away from the sunlight as much as possible. Back when I was 24 years old, I won the lottery. Mega Million lottery company sent me a check of 120 million dollars post tax in a single installment. Soon after, I went on a spending spree. Someone I’ve always had a crush on, who was already married, I snatched her away from her husband. I was completely crazy back then. In only 3 years of time after winning the lottery, I managed to burn all the bridges with my family, irreconcilable at that. One day I realised that the woman that I was always infatuated with was plotting for my money, but I learned of this fact when it was already too late. I realised one morning that I had lots of debt, and after doing subtraction, I had about a million dollars left. I never wanted to work for another person again, so I decided to get a cheap property in the sticks near a mountain and freshwater stream. One day I got a message that I would be abducted off the planet.

Back when I was still moving out to the sticks, I bought a quarter ton truck, trailer, and a small quad. I made sure to load up fueld tanks, because it's not like I was going to live near a gas station. I was going to camp for the rest of my life after all. I found a place called Conconully, and bought some land there. A small town with a population around 200. Living outside or in the city doesn't make a difference, I still had the same needs as a human: water, food, shelter. I bought a solar water heater for some conveince, and built a small pump house next to a small creek. I then built a large fridge and freezer. I used a dedicated windmill and solar panels to power the freezer and fridge. A small green house was also built for my own personal small garden.

It's been a few years now, and I have been living like this since I broke up with that woman. I still feel irritated even after all the time that has passed, however I can't blame anyone other than myself. Today is my birthday, I turned 30 today. I don't have anything special going on today, I am simply doing nothing other than playing a game on my phone. These cell phone games are addictive. A received a text message. I wonder who's Messaging me, let's check it.

I saw something about retinas and was confused, I went ahead and selected the non default option right before the timer went off. Once the timer went off, the question disappeared. It’s not like there was a button to choose my option, so I simply highlighted the text before that timer went off.

At first I was confused. Where was this screen that was in my vision. However the news that I was going to be abducted was very daunting news. I was at first bewindered, thinking who would want to abduct me. However, I decided I didn't care about these small details. I thought about those stories I've read about hero summoning in many web novels. I looked at the options, and the pocket dimension looked the most appealing. Having my own inventory sounds over powered. Who doesn't wish for that power? Being able to carry your entire house as you travel is best. However only 1 cubic inch? I feel like it wasn't as simple as it sounded anymore. I ended up choosing the condensed pocket dimension. It said it was a type of magic. I thought it would be cool if I could use magic, even if I only get 1 cubic inch versus 4 million cubic inches. It said it would also give me information related to upgrading and using it. If I could master this, couldn’t I apply the knowledge to make a fireball?

Condensed Pocket Dimension will be initialized...

I was excited. The msg turned into a timer then moved to the corner of my vision under the other timer.

The choices this time makes me wonder. The options each have advantages and disadvantages. If I choose easy mode, I receive some rewards. If I choose hard mode, I will receive rewards to offset the difficulty. This showed that options were not going to give any advantages for nothing. If I want to be successful, I should pick my options based on rewards and come up with a stratagy for each option. I looked at the jungle and desert options. The jungle would have food and water. The desert would have little food and water. The Jungle would have opportunities where I could find rare plants and herbs that could give me advantages. The desert does not. The jungle has less danger, and the desert has more danger from creatures as well as the environmental danger. It's the middle of summer, why would I want to go to the desert? The desert offers knowledge about magic.

While still deciding what to do, the timer for the condensed pocket dimension started to flash and it's timer hit zero. Apparently I intuitively knew I could set my own alarms and decide wether or not It makes sounds or can wake me up. I also learn details about this inventory function. I placed my hand into my pocket and placed a quarter into the dimensional space. This proves magic is real. If I choose the desert, I can gain knowledge to increase my affinity to magic it self. This message also says it will give me the basic spell models for each element. Wouldn't I have water with this knowledge? I feel that the desert option would be best for the rewards I will be given.

These options are awful. I want to pick the first option, but what do I really want to remember? My life sucks. However, I have 30 years of knowledge. Do I want to sacrifice my past for the future? The last option is sacrificing the past and soon future for the far future. I felt this wasn't as simple as choosing between easy, medium, and hard like in the last choice. However, for comparision purposes, this memory blindness looked like expert hell-mode. I'm already going to the desert, what's there to remember? I feel like memory blindness wasn't as bad as it could be, considering the perks. Losing my motor skills and not being able to communicate with neighbors sound very annoying, atleast compared to other options. The perks this option gives for the future are truely temping though. If I could live until then, I would always thank my past self for choosing this option. Being able to learn magic easier is without a doubt, key to this choice. I never finished school or got good grades anyways, so I'm not a scholar or anything. What's there to lose?

Choice #5 :

* (default) : No more choices.

 No other choices will be asked.

 No other perks will be given.

 No other negative effects will affect you.

* Gluttony, Lust, and Extravagance

 You are 50% more likely to be addicted in life.

 You require twice the food.

 All bonus effects are half as effective, e.g. healing, recovery, speed boost, dizziness, fatigue, nausea, or even poison (effects of poison are reduced, is this a buff?)

 You have 20% improved luck.

 You have 10% improved bad luck.

* Sloth and Clumsy

 You can’t see things that far away. You are close sighted. You don’t have a depth of field.

 You require 40% more sleep.

 You lose 40% focus.

 You have 80% improved luck.

 You have 10% improved bad luck.

* Pride and Wrath

 You gain vanity when you complete a decision.

 You lose vanity when you make a decision.

 You lose vanity when you fail a decision.

 Vanity can improve and boost status.

 Negative vanity will automatically degrade and limit status.

 Negative vanity causes loss of cognition.

* Greed and Envy

 All cravings are 400% heavier

 Jealousy is 200% heavier.

 You have a rare item radar.

* You can detect all nearby rare items within 20 yards.

* You can detect all rare natural ownerless materials within 50 yards.

* All effects reduced by 80% when traveling through solid materials like the ground or solid walls like a mountain or thick walls.

LuJay felt this time, the choices were getting harder to choose between. It's easy when the choices are simple negatives with nice perks. This time the negatives and positives are not so easily linear. The negatives for each category was awful enough to offset the perks of each category. Pride and wrath looked the most mild on the surface, however, it had some very interesting negative connotations like losing cognition. This sounds like a real rage bar. Gluttony, lust, and extravagance was very similiar to sloth and clumsy -- awful choices. Gluttony had a few simple consumption cons that wasn't as bad as it could be, but I'm going to the desert. Requiring twice the normal amount of food or water is not going to keep me alive. Sloth has a luck bonus that looks nice, but being practically blind and requiring 20% of your 16 hour day (3.2 hours) spent for extra sleep is expensive and dangerous. The desert already has the highest danger, and requiring more time being spent in the desert and slower travel time will kill me. If I wanted to do this, I should had picked the ruin village option with these options. That left 2 options left. No more choices was one options, but what if the next choices were bonuses?  Greed had that radar feature, which could be used to find people who carried rare items as well as veins in the ground during travels.

So thinking about the choices, #1 I need the next choices, #2 requiring more water in the desert will kill me, #3 being blind and slower travel times will kill me, #4 this vanity and pride thing I don't understand and I think I don't want to understand, #5 greed doesn't sound too bad as it also has that radar system. It's not like I will become someone different just because I'll have more greedy feelings.

Choice #6 :

* (default) : The love of the sun

 Warm energy gathers 30-150% and 150%-25% faster depending on the position of the sun in the sky.

 Impurities range from 1%-85% and 85%-2% compared to without The love of the sun.

 The last 20 seconds of daylight has 0.75% impurities, however the rate of energy is low.

 Clouds can reduce effects, and reduce impurities by 75% of the reduced effect amount.

 Eclipses gather hot energy at 1300%, warm energy at 75%, cold energy reduced by 50%, and impurities are reduced by 80%.

 In space energy gathers 570% faster, however impurities are increased by 30%.

* The love of the stars

 Starlight energy gathers 340% faster.

 Starlight has very little impurities, 95% less than unfiltered local prana at sea level.

 Even in the day, the stars are still there. May require training to feel them.

 Clouds can reduce effects, but training can allow you to bypass this issue.

 During New Moon (darker nights) the easier it is to feel the stars.

* The synergy of the recognized

* At beginner stage, they gain a buff equal to 5% of your base status.

* The buff increases by 0.1% daily. At beginner stage, cap is 25%.

* A debuff causes you to lose 1% of your base status.

 People you choose will return an advantage to you based on their status.

* A buff causes you to gain 1% of their status.

* Each buff increases by 0.01% daily. The value can go above the cap, but only the cap is applied.

* At beginner stage, each buff cap is 10% and total of all buffs cap is 30%.

* Immortality

 You don’t age unless you want to.

 You aren’t require to breath air to live, but it’ll reduce your abilities without it.

 You don’t require food or water, but it’ll reduce your abilities as you forgo without.

 Poison will not kill you, but it can lead you to be unable to move for centuries.

* Born for magic

 You gain natural insight into magic 450% faster.

 Any affinity below entry level is brought to entry level.

 You gain 200% increase in affinity when tempering.

 Max initial capacity for energy is increased by 300%.

LuJay thought these options were very good. Worth selecting greed in the last choice. It was a gamble after all. If these choices were all negative, he would have felt cheated. He decided that he would use the proccess of elimination this time for the perks.

The option for immortality also stood out. Becomming immortal just like that? There must be hidden dangers related to becomming an immortal. It says immortals don't require food or water, then what would happen to the difficulty to the desert? It doesn't say any of the negatives of becomming an immortal, so I think this is a trick. Plus, I know I would become a loner if I was an immortal. Who wants to make friends with a greedy immortal?

Sun lover and star lover didn't look like it only applied for magic at first glance. It looked like it was more for cultivation at first glance. Sun lover would probably make walking in the desert easier too. He didn't know anything about that though. He wanted to be a mage if given a choice.

Being born for magic didn't sound too bad. The perks were straight up percentage based perks. The free affinity modifier was convienant, but ultimately I already had the knowledge to adjust that with the other options I've made previously. This pick would just make practice easy, but it's not directly making me overpowered. 1 year of training would be like 5 to 10 years when compared to someone else. The only real perk of this would be the initial affinity, but that didn't mean that I would even know how much that is going to help.

The final option that I couldn't elimate in the proccess of elimination: The synergy of the recognized. He figured if he was going to be greedy, then he would need subordanates. Becomming a greedy general of a military faction would be possible and sounded like it fit his personality anyways. With subordanates he would be able to collect valuables quicker anyways. The perks didn't look bad, and would help others in a mutual benefit for both parties. It would form a win-win situation. He decided to use the proccess of elimination and even without lots of perks, there wasn't alot of cons.

LuJay felt that this summary was very simple and easy to understand. He found out he was able to minimize this summary and reopen it at any time. He also found some interesting notes about the system. Atleast he can't lose his eyes like losing a phone. He was glad for choosing the retina options.

At this time, he noticed that there were timers with different labels: #3, #4, #5, #6. LuJay did remember seeing a few timers being sent to the corner, but wondered why he didn't notice these until just now. He saw the #3 timer blink because it was now marked for 6 days and 23 hours left then 22 hours 59 minutes. So it's set to blink once every hour. LuJay felt that the timers were very interactive. He decided to make lunch.

While cooking, #5 greed timer hit zero. Intuitive knowledge was directly placed into LuJay's head. Greed was more encompassing that what he previous thought. He felt hungry at the moment, and greed started to kick in. He wanted to greedily cook all the food he had. even if he couldn't eat it all... LuJay started to feel that maybe the problem of greed was much larger than he previous thought. If he had any desires at all, greed would kick in. He didn't even know what would happen with jealousy adding more problems. Would those multiply eat other? He already knew they would...

LuJay finished his lunch, and wanted to test out the radar function now. He found that the radar's sensitivity was based on how greedy he felt on wanting the item he was searching for. This ability, he didn't know wether to laugh or cry... LuJay felt that the ability was useful, but using it made his feelings eradic if he was unable to retreive sensed items on the radar. This would have made a fantastic ability finding the remote if I still had a TV. Also the power was limited to 5% while still on earth. There is very little prana on earth after all. Even with 1 yard range, the ability would help looking for his keys if he ever forgets where he placed them. Also, certain items used less effort compared to other items. He had a gold ring that he had placed on a table, and no matter what he did, sensing gold used almost no effort and placed a minimal amount of eratic feelings if he didn't get it. Aparently greed loved gold, but wouldn't cry over just a common metal such as gold. LuJay felt that greed was more useful than he thought it would have been.

While he was playing around, #6's timer went off. The synergy of the recognized intuitive information was gained. It's all about fabvorability. I did read about the details, but it sounded very complex with all the rules and values. The intuitive knowledge doesn't include the direct values like the choices did, but instead gives me a feeling of how much 'pow and whoosh' it gives. I can't really test the power yet, but I know the details for the most parat.

LuJay started to stare at timer #4. 23 Hours from now, LuJay would forget how to walk. He thought about what he needed to do, and decided that it's better to start now than later. He thought about his internal monologues and how they would work without knowing any languages. He also needed to make sure on the last day he would go over everything related about his abilities so he doesn't have to relearn his insights on the intuitive knowledge. He felt he was more fucked than the 'doge meme' being overused. Much fucked.

I started to write a short list of ideas, striking them out, then adding other ideas. I don't even know what type of intelligence this location will have. Thinking of the case where I never meet another civilization, person, or even a language at that. What if the concept of numbers aren't the same? I know roman numerals and decimal system aren't even comparable in all honesty. That's probably how fractions became a thing. I decided that any knowledge I bring with me should use shapes and images as the least amount of words as possible. I know some things are only important if you have and know how to use them. A map is a good example. You don't need a map, but if you have one, it's value becomes very important. I have a very expensive watch. It has a pace counter, heart rate monitor, atmospheric pressure guage, timer, and alarm. It also tells time. I don't know if the time on the other world will be a 24 hour cycle though.

I gather a folder for place important documents for all my knowledge I want to bring with me to the other world. I decided to draw instructions for my watch. I write the word and then an image and symbol for what it means. Like 'atmospheric pressure' and I draw a picture of rain and the sun. I made a line with numbers, and show what each value means. I spend about an hour doing this. I'll thank myself later for it. I know maps are important, so I included a few examples of what a map looks like as well as a colored satelite image of a map at different heights. I have about 4 sheets of colored images, as well as a large map on a 4 foot by 4 foot page. I grab a few pens and mechanical pencils and lead. I have a few erasers as well. I have both 0.3mm and 1.2mm mechanical pencils. I also grab a ream of 500 letter copy paper, A composition graph ruled, and 4 composition colledge ruled books. The composition book has a ruler and multiplication table in the back. It also has a conversion table chart, but that's not useful when I can't read the words. I also grab 2 packs of note cards and 10 butane dispossible lighters. I also look for a clipboard to pack, and grab a few hundred rubberbands of different sizes. I'm debating wether I want to bring plastic bags or not. I decide to grab a roll of 55 galon trash bags too. I gather my metal silver cup, silver plate, silver bowl, and silverware made from silver. It's useful because it can detect sulfuric heavy items, which poisons are normally known as having heavy contents of. I also have a few plastic and tin items aswell. I pack some clothing too.

I remember the saying that you learn everything you ever need to be successful in life in elementary school. Thinking about this, I started to write what was taught in school. I don't want to forget something important after all.

* Talkings to others

* Listening to the teacher or principal

* Following a schedule -- maybe make an image of a day/night cycle? Then make a pie chart to represent quarter day? I need an image of sleeping, and use a third of a day for sleep. This’ll help with math too…

* Eating -- Simple recipes using images, Process to make flour from wheat, egg, milk would be interesting to draw... Images of beer, distilling proccess of a distillery, salt water, liquior.

* Playing at recess -- maybe a few simple games can make me some money? I’ll just keep a few cards, dice, and a few board games. I think reversi, chess, checkers. playing cards? -- instructions to play reversi on phone. videos to play games.

* Math + shapes

* Reading

* History, social studies -- only map drawing

* Music -- I have a harmonica and know a few songs + mp3 player + cell phone

* Science + technology + basic chemistry + physics

After writting my short list, I started to strike thru some different items for different reasons. I can't write instructions on how to talk to others after all. Drawing recipes for eating is too complicated and time consuming. Actually I decided to add a note for making beer and distilling salt water or spirits. I grabbed some dice and cards into the pile to pack up. I also had a resersi board and pieces with me too. I decided that I'll download a video of how to play the game on my phone later. I'll write the instructions on how to play the video on a paper with the game. I also need to download a few games for cards and dice too. I guess I can also get some science videos on how to build or do things too. Maybe I'll know what they are doing later, or not.

At this point I started to think about my condensed pocket dimension in details, and thought about how to expand the size of it. I can ncrease the size in a combination of 2 ways. Practice and materials. Practice is done by filling the space, and taking things out. The space increases the quickest when the space is near full or the contents have high density. The second method is by sacrifice. There are actually two spaces inside the dimensional pocket, and they are separated by an imaginary wall and they share the same limits. Simply placing materials inside the sacrifice dimension will slowly sacrifice the materials to the dimensional pocket. Once placed inside the sacrifice dimension, you can’t take it back out. I placed nearby water into the dimensional sacrifice space. It took about 5 minutes for the 1 cubic inch of water to disappear. Let it be known that the water takes up more space in the dimensional space with it’s lower atmospheric pressure, but it doesn’t matter in my opinion. The increase to the space was 0.001 cubic inches. I opened a calculator app on my phone and figured out it would take 3.5 days to increase it by 1 cubic inch by this rate, and that’s if I stayed awake to redo it every 5 minutes. Next I placed dirt into the space. 20 minutes later, the space increased by 0.002 cubic inches. At this new rate, it would take 8 days. I went and placed some gravel this time, mixed with some sand. After 22 minutes the sand was done and gave about 0.0001 cubic inches which isn’t bad considering it was just filling space around the gravel. Over the course of the next 24 minutes, the gravel was disappearing ended up providing 0.011 cubic inches. Just the gravel could provide the 1 additional cubic inch in a matter of 3 days. Next I went and grabbed a bunch of nails. I have a bucket of nails in different sizes. Also I figured out that the 1 cubic inch can be stretched and deformed losing only some volume.

I knew that I needed to go to the city for last minute items. It’s a 5 hour drive to king county. I know a few places in seatac. I need to drive to Harbor freight, walmart, dick's sporting goods, and home depot just to check out all the options. I'm going to make a list of random things I don't want to forget... Omak is a half hour from where I live, but the sporting stores there don't really have what I'm looking for. I'll just go to king county. I have a simple list of misc items I want to bring. I never can get these items again after all.

* 10 x Ear buds / headphones

* Solar panels

* Rechargeable batteries, 20 x AA, 10 x C, 3 x D

* Flash lights, one that takes each type of battery. 10 x AA flashlights LEDs. 2 x C, 1 x D flashlights.

* Fire starters, chemical and an air piston one too.

* Mini knives, lots of nails

* Rare metals in sand or gravel form. Maybe BBs?

* I should get some gold and silver.

* Spare and new clothes (for the desert). Military desert gear? Desert boots?

* 4 x Water bladders. (Camelbak brand)

* Simple water filters.

* tube and pump

I started to drive to Seatac, it was still 1pm. I’d get there around 6pm. On the way there, the iron nails took 4 hours. It provided 0.1 cubic inches. I then placed 1.1 cubic inches worth of iron nails that were sniped into small pieces. I also brought along silver coins that were snipped into small pieces to test for later.

After arriving in king county, I drove to Dick's sporting goods. I found some fire starters. I decided to grab some. I bought a composite bow while I was at it, and bought 100 arrows. The store person was very helpful, I just explained that I was a first time hunter and had my own land with lots of game to hunt. I wanted something that was durable, easy to handle, and powerful that scaled with skill. That's when I was shown the composite bows and arrows. The arrows had many different options available. I ended up choosing fiberglass composite metal shafts that don't splinter and can be used many times. I also had the arrow heads shaped for barbing and bleeding. I bought 4 x camelbak bladders, a water filter, new tan boots, and some digital looking camo for the desert as well. I plan on cutting some of these clothing to make loose fitting robes. Before I left the store, I also saw sling shots and thought to buy 3 of 'em. While I was being checked out, I saw some cool windup flashlights with a usb port on them. I added 10 of those to my order too. These little lights say they provide 1100 lumens and are LED based. I don't have to worry about replacement bulbs then.

I then stopped by  harbor frieght. I was going to buy batteries, but I don't need them anymore, because of the flashlights I just bought. I came here for a solar kit, an inverter, some cables, solder, and a 40W soldering iron. I saw some box knives and decided to grab some too. I got some replacement blades as well.

I stopped by the super walmart super center. I got 10 x earbud headphones that I wanted. I found a 25 ft tube and pump used for fuel in the car section in the super store. I then went to buy some jewelry here : sapphire earrings, diamond ring, and an emerald necklace.

I then went to a pawn shop, and bought some jewelry from a few different places. I used the excuse : I lost my brother's ring he was going to use to propose or my sister had a necklace she was going to present to her friend but I lost it. At one of the pawn shops, he saw a foldable and collapsable bicycle trailer. It looked conveient for what he needed and decided to grab it.

Finally, I stopped by home depot, and grabbed tons of nails and some screws and simple bolts and nuts. I went ahead and got some high quality titanium hand tools. A few items like a bow saw and normal saw. I grabbed some battery powered hand tools too.

After getting all these different supplies, LuJay thought he had everything that he'll ever need. He's been living at a camp for the last few years. If he didn't already have it, he will just have to suck it up. He didn't even know if he could walk tomorrow let alone driving. Just as he finished the shopping escapade and was leaving king county, the nails from before finished with 3 hours providing 0.105 cubic inches. Atleast this confirmed, smaller chunks are quicker to sacrifice and use about the same amount of space. He felt like trying silver coin pieces this time. While driving back, 3 hours provided 0.18 cubic inches with the silver coin pieces. It's worth to note that silver was worth 65% more than iron. Next I placed the diamond ring into the space filling the empty space with 1 cubic inch worth of silver coin pieces. He wanted to try silver dust or sand, but it's not like he had that.

LuJay got home to camp after that long drive and decided to pack everything into a 2 bag system. Everything he had to have in 1 bag. Everything that was extra in another. He quickly filled the first bag with ease. A hatchet attached to the second bag, while a bow attached to the first. He had 4 quivers, with 3 attached to the outside of the second bag. He was using string and rope to attach things to the second bag. He was going to attach the quiver to his hip on the last day. He wanted to start sewing then and there. He pulled some of the new camo desert items, and started to cut squares out of the fabric. He already had robes that were the perfect size, and cut those at the seam to copy their shape for the new robes made with the desert pattern. By the time I was finished I was hungry and decided to make dinner.

After eating, it was regarded that 6 hours was the time it took for the ring to provide 0.2 cubic inches and 0.1 cubic inches from the iron nails. Considering that the space the ring took up was 0.3 cubic inches, it wasn't too bad. He decided to place as much jewelry into the space as he could now, then go to sleep.

The Next morning it was around lunch time. LuJay woke up. He found out he wasn’t able to get out of bed like expected. He remembered this had to deal with his body forgetting how to do everything. He also felt that it was harder to articulate ideas of what to do. He went ahead and checked the condensed pocket dimensional space. The space had gathered another 0.9 cubic inches from a few rings. He didn't know long it took though. LuJay realised the difficulty in just sitting up. After managing to stand up, he thought this was what it was like when a drunk person walks. Making food for the firrst time was just as difficult. Cutting some veggies with a knife was dangerous. Even while being careful he managed to knick himself twice.

While eating, LuJay thought about the space again. If he could increase his space by 50% each day it would each 15 cubic inches by the end of the 7th day. He wanted to reach 100 cubic inches. That could lighten his load by 30 pounds. He thought about if he sacrificed living things instead. He went a grabbed a large bucket, filled it half full with dirt, mixed in food waste, animal fat, leaves, different types of bones, fish scales, feathers, and moldy bread. He mixed those all together. Went to the creek to look for worms, and placed them in the bucket with water on top too. He then placed some bean sprouts in all this mess too. He couldn't sacrifice this all now, but would cry it out later.

He then went and attached two shouvels next to his hatchet to his second bag. figuring out that the shovels would be useful later. He then went to grab some charcoal, filled the space with it until it didn't fit much more, took it out, lit it on fire, then placed it in his sacrifice space. He then discovered this was increadibly dangerous.

Immediately after placing the fire into the space, he felt like he was on fire and bloated from all the pressure the smoke placed on the space. The smoke was being absorbed quickly enough where it wasn't putting out the fire completely too. He ended up falling down on the ground unable to move suffering from immense pain. It was hard for him to breath, and just he just stared at the sky while shaking in pain. After about 2 hour, he felt his consciousness would allow him to rest after suffering all the pain. He felt relieved at this point. After the third hour after the suffering started, he checked his condition and found out that the space increased to about 3.7 cubic inches. The provided space from burning charcoal was 25%, while iron provided 10%, silver 16.5%, gems around 60%.

LuJay decided that he would shadow box and swim in a pool of water in a nearby shallow lake. This would allow him to know how to swim and basic hand to hand fighting. Whenever the space had available space he would will it with metals and water. The water also helped speed up the sacrifice of iron, because it would rust the iron. That was something he found by mistake. It sped up iron pieces being absorped by 10% using up 5% of the materials, which is about 4% more space per hour. Iron powders would be absorbed 50% faster and using up 20% of the materials, which is about 20% more space per hour. LuJay continued moving his body until the end of the day was hit.

Day 3 : Lujay woke up, but today he didn't have difficulty sitting up. He checked his dimensional space, 7.6 cubic inches. I decided today I would get some iron sand. I went and grabbed one of the spare shovels, a pick, a large sludge, a large magnet, and a buckets of water, and two empty buckets. I loaded up an ATV, and went to a nearby iron deposit. It wasn't large, but I know there is some iron on the surface of this cliff. I started to hit the cliff with the pick, had some stone fall off the wall, then started to hit the stone with the sludge to break it up. I sweep the magnet to pickup iron dust, then pull it off to place into one of the buckets. The magnet picks up all the iron containing matter above a certain density with ease. I repeat this action for a few hours. I'm covered in sweat, but I have 20 cubic inches worth of iron dust, and a bucket of iron gravel. It's around 4pm right now, it's time for a quick bath and some food.

After cleaning up and eating, he decided it was time to get some science materials before he no longer could read. He also found out that he forgot to download videos when he went out. It's too late now he figured, but not too late to draw simple machines. LuJay also had a few images of simple machines and ideas like pulley, wedge, screw, crank, gear, lever, balance, axis, wheel, projectile, inclined plane, abacus, bow, composite bow, and crossbow. Also the instructions, examples, and usage of these machines in examples were drawn.

Day 4: LuJay checked the status of his pocket dimension, He had 16.4 cubic inches of space by now. He no longer had any jewelry or jems to use. He had plenty of iron nails to use. He was pretty much out of iron dust, but the iron gravel still gave about 18% return when used with water compared to the same amount of time as iron nails and water.

He decided to cut the iron nails as short as possible. Spending 8 hours cutting nails into small pieces. He ended up with something that could do a 21% return in the same amount of time as before. He had enough materials made for tomorrow atleast. He then decided to practice with the bow while he still remembered some techniques.

Day 5: LuJay's storage space reached 36.7 cubic inches when he woke up. LuJay decided to continue practing with his bow today as well. Tonight when he goes to sleep he would do the composting test. By the end of the day before bed, he reached 78.6 cubic inches, which is about a quart of material. He decided it was time to do the composting materials before going to sleep.

Day 6 : LuJay was suprised when he checked the dimensional space this morning, the materials was still being sacrificed. He added more water to the proccess. After spending a 3 constantly adding water and shooting his arrows, LuJay was suprised. 11 Hours provided 60%, which is only 21% for each 4 hour period. It was as much as iron, but used less micromanagment. It required more setup thought. He reached 125 cubic inches. It was 11 am right now. He could do this four more times before it was time to go. He went ahead and grabbed more materials and worms to place into the space. LuJay knew he was running out of time. He already had a hard time reading his own check lists at this point. He started to use pictures and symbols instead at this point, and made a new checklist for tomorrow.

He filled the first bag with sleeping gear, poncho, wet weather related gear, etc. He had the pillow and sleeping mat added to the second bag. He placed spare dishes into the second bag. Warm and fluffy clothing went into the second bag. 9 out of 10 flash lights went into the second bag. LuJay knew that he would have about 750 cubic inches of space by the end of the 7th day, so he made a box with that much space. He filled the heavy items into that box. Breakable items went into the box as well. Some plates went into that space. A poncho, some rope, silverware, silver cup, cell phone, important documents and papers, roll of ducktape, scotch tape, glue, pens, pencils, and all the blank paper and clipboard went into the box that would go into the space.

He felt that he was ready and prepared to go.

Day 7: When LuJay woke up he had 314 cubic inches of space. The day went going over the picture check list. LuJay figured out he didn't know how to read anymore too. He had his checklist, placed all his items together for the end of the day. LuJay spent the day shooting arrows. He felt like he didn't know how to think anymore. He couldn't come up with words or ideas or thoughts. The language was really being forgotten. By the start of the night, LuJay tested out lifting all his stuff. He found out that the two bags were too heavy. He also had to carry a bicycle in his arms. The trailer was attached to the second bag by ropes and string. I had 12 hours until I was abducted. Just enough time for one more sacrifice.

POV CHANGE: LuJay

By the morning around 10am, I started to double check everything. I had less than a hour left. I had 785 cubic inches of space. I placed everything I wanted into the space inside 2 different buckets. Just enough space for all that. I went ahead and filled the rest of the free room with items from my second bag that would fit inside the space. I filled the last 20 cubic inches of space with some food items. I had compressed and dried rations. I had vitimin powder and salts in the space too. I had a table placed around me, and had the bags sitting on the tables, while I sat on a tall chair. All I had to do was stand up with all these heavy bags and leave. My arms were already thru the straps.

10 seconds before I had to leave, I stood up with all my stuff. I felt like I wasn't going to make the 10 seconds with all this stuff with me. I felt like I was going to drop it all right here without even taking a step. The time came, and I was abducted. However, I don’t remember how it happened.

I’m looking all around me, and I’m in the desert. Atleast it’s not a desert with dust dunes. It’s more like a sandstone flat surface. Thank my greed, because I brought along a bicycle. I dropped everything onto the ground. I don’t even know what to do, please help me, because I’m about to cry. Did I ever even have a name? I just got here, and I’m already sweating from the sun. It’s only sunrise. I want to commit suicide already.
