Chapter 2: Don't tell me what to do

----------------------------------------

Khans’ classmates were excited as they walked through the castle hall to get to their sleeping quarters. They felt like they were within a Western movie that was based in the medieval ages. The castle had grey stone wall, candles lighting up the halls, wooden doors, guards with swords and maids roaming the halls, occasional painting and, statues.

The boys were lustfully eyeing all the maids that walked, while the girls were taking pictures with their phones to show off to their family when they return.

Khan noticed that all the staff that worked within the castle wore mainly simple outfits or decent armor, but nothing expensive compared to the King Gale and Gale Jr. The robes they wore during the introduction were silk white robes that had golden lining with different kind of jewelry stitched into them.  Then they wore as much gold jewelry with varies kind of precious gem they could carry to show off the wealth they had.

This was a red flag to Khan because someone with the title King and Prince shouldn’t have to flaunt large amount of jewelry. The titles alone are worth much more than gold itself. It is understandable that people want to wear luxury clothes and jewelry to show off their status and wealth, but this was too much. The prince had a gold ring on every finger, 11 gold bangles on his right arm alone, and a baseball size diamond hung to a gold necklace.

Khan doesn’t want to make any false accusation, but his guess that the royal family is extremely corrupt except for Princess Annabella. It isn’t unheard of, of royal and nobles being corrupted back in the medieval ages. The problem is how Khan should proceed from now on.

Even if Khan told his classmates they wouldn’t listen out of fear. He could talk to the transfer student John who’s now the leader of the group, but Khan doesn’t know anything about him so talking to him could backfire. Another reason was the death stare John gave to his classmate who needed to use the restroom.

That look John gave to his classmate isn’t a look typical high school students gave to a classmate who they were annoyed by or disliked.  Those are the looks that Khan saw from the heirs of the major clans that looked down on other people who have no status. Khan didn’t want to accuse John of anything yet, but he will stay cautious of him.

Not even a day into this new world Khan already has a potential list of enemies and someone to kill. If Yuna wasn’t here, then Khan would’ve left the castle already to avoid any more trouble.

The sleeping quarters was a large dorm like area where you have a massive square court yard in the middle with the rooms side by side. The only way out was the way they came in from.

It seemed they prepared this beforehand in case, but for a smaller group of people. There were 7 rooms total, but to make up for it the rooms were fairly large to hold one queen size bed, a desk, book shelves, and their own bathroom. Not bad for a young hero living at the castle.

Before the escort could say anything his classmate who needed to pee sprinted to one of the rooms to relieve himself.

The escort didn’t react at all to his classmate while the rest of khan’s classmates were giggling at the boy. The homeroom teacher who was in his 80’s gave himself a face palm from the embarrassment of being the teacher of such a shameless student.

“I’m sorry; we didn’t expect so many people would be summoned. We only had 7 rooms prepared for you guys. For now we will have 2 more beds placed in each room before the banquet ends so you guys will be able to sleep together in this one quarter. I will allow you guys figure out the arrangement for rooms.

I will be heading back to do some preparation for the banquet; if you need anything don’t hesitate to ask the guards in the hall. You are permitted to wear the clothes you are wearing now to the banquet, so get comfortable in your new living quarters as we prepare for the banquet. I will be back within two hours to escort you guys to the ball room. Anyone have any questions?” The escort said.

“I don’t think we do have any questions. Thank you for escorting us to this beautiful place.” John replied.

“Good.” The escort said as he walked away.

Everyone faced toward John in expectation of him figuring out the arrangements for the room as he is now the leader of the group. Khan was in the back of the group with a large gap between him and the closest students.

The students kept a certain distance from Khan the entire time since they were summoned here. Except for Yuna, who was still hugging his arms even though he tried to push her off a few times, but she wouldn’t budge an inch.

“I suggest we split up by gender first, and then we should allow the students decide for themselves who they want to room with.” John said to the class.

The class had 9 girls and 12 guys including the homeroom teacher making it the most logical choice to choose. Except for the fact that Khan didn’t care what they were going to decide on.

“I’m sorry to be inconsiderate, but I’m going to be staying in the room next to the entrance with Yuna no matter what.” Khan announced to the class.

Everyone looked at Khan not daring to utter a noise. Some of the student slowly stepped back to increase the gap between them and Khan.

Yuna looked at Khan with sparkling eyes.

“How bold, is that a proposal?” Yuna shyly asked with her face blushing.

“No.” Khan replied.

Yuna pouted at Khan and buried her face back into his arm.

Khan wasn’t going to take any chances in this unknown location with people they barely know. He doesn’t understand how his classmate can be so carefree in this situation. The King could have other plans in store for them.

John walked up to Khan without any hint of fear.

“Hey I understand that you’re a great guy who wants to protect your girlfriend, but we have to do this to be fair for everyone.” John spoke to Khan.

“She’s not my girlfriend, but my childhood friend. I’m sorry, but I prefer to be in the same room so I can protect her.” Khan replied without backing down.

Yuna bit his arm in annoyance of Khan for being so blunt about it, but then licked the spot she bit with her soft warm tongue to nurse the wound. Khan looked at Yuna with an annoyed face from her licking him, he actually didn’t feel any pain from the bite at all.

John looked at Yuna embracing Khans’ arm trying to figure out their relationship.

“Well I can assure you that I will wholeheartedly protect everyone here with my life! I’ve been trained to fight since I was young.” John announced as he tried to convince Khan once more.

“Kya our hero!” one of the girls screamed in the back.

“No. My decision is final, this discussion is over.” Khan replied cold-heartedly as he walked away to one of the rooms with Yuna still attached to his arm like a parasite.

Shiro walked past John to follow Khan.

“Wait!” John screamed.

Khan kept walking forward without looking back. Shiro stopped to look back at John.

“Where are you going Shiro?” John desperately asked.

“I decided to be the 3rd person in khans’ room.” Shiro replied.

Everyone was shocked from what they had just heard. They couldn’t believe what she had just said.

“Kya!” The girls screamed.

“Someone save her!” A boy screamed out.

“Wait a young girl like you shouldn’t stay with a boy!” John said.

“I’m sorry; I’ve already made my decision.” Shiro said as she continued on her way.

John ran up to Shiro and grabbed her hand to stop her from continuing.

“Stop! Please can you just listen to me.” John pleaded to Shiro.

“Kya! This is like a Korean drama!” A girl screamed in excitement at the top of her lungs.

Shiro pulled John forward with the hand he was holding. With the momentum she tripped him using her left foot while planting her left arm on his right shoulder. John fell to the ground with Shiros’ left hand on his back holding him down and her right arm locking his right arm tightly ready to break his shoulder if he resist.

“I’m the leader of the Yukimura Clan. I don’t take any orders from anyone and I don’t like to be touched without my permission.” Shiro said cold-heartedly.

Everyone was shocked from this scene that had just unfolded in front of them.

“If you youngster surprise me anymore I might have a heart attack from all this excitement.” The old homeroom teacher said in the back of the group.

“Ok sorry, just let me go.” John desperately said.

Shiro let of Johns’ arm to continue on her way to the room.

Yai Udo ran up to John who was still lying on the ground with a defeated face.

“Are you okay!?” She said with tears pouring down her face.

John got up with an angry expression.

“Yes I’m fine. Let’s just forget them for now and figure out the rest of the arrangements for the room.

Khan was in the room with Yuna sitting on the ground. He successfully got her off his arm, but she would not stop talking.

“This feels like we’re eloping to an unknown location without our parents knowing. How romantic! I wish could tell my mother right now.” Yuna said with excitement.

The door opened with Shiro walking in the room. She locked the door from behind them.

“What are you doing here!? You’re always staring at Khan; I can’t tell if you love him or want to kill him with that neutral face you have when you peek at him all the time!

If you want to kill him you have to go through me first! Well I don’t think it should make a big difference as Khan is much stronger than me, but the thought is what counts the most.

If you love him, then I’m going to fight with all my heart! I’ve been with him the longest. I know where he lives, the name of his maid, his favorite food, and what color boxer he is wearing today.

You know I can do housework, cook----” Khan interrupted Yuna by covering her mouth with his hand as she went on talking rampage.

“Just stop it already Yuna.” Khan said.

“Fine, but let me say one more thin----“Khan covered her mouth once again.

“I’m not against you staying in the room. Can you tell us why you want to stay here with us Miss Yukimura?” Khan asked.

“I want to know if you were the one from 4 years ago.” Shiro replied.

“4 years ago!? What did you do to her Khan?” Yuna asked with her voice slightly trembling.

Khan gestured for Shiro and Yuna to come closer to him.

“Yuna three things happened that year. I became advance to expert Ki class, inherited the La’Ameraza Clan, and almost died.” Khan whispered to them.

“Almost died? I never heard about this.” Yuna said as she gave Khan her full attention.

“It’s going to be a long story. Shiro you should listen too so you’ll know what exactly happened.” Khan said.
