Yuna face gradually gravitated closer to khans’ face as he was about to tell the story of how Shiro and Khan are connected due to an mission from 4 years ago that almost left him dead.
“What are you doing Yuna?” Khan asked.
“I just realized something.”
“What did you realized?”
“I’ve never seen facial hair on your face, yet I’ve never seen you shave either.”
“….”
Khan flicked Yuna on her forehead.
“Ouchy that hurts a lot Khany, if you’re going to hurt me, then be about it gentle.” Yuna cried in pain.
Khan didn’t reply back to Yuna. Shiro gave a glare at Yuna for delaying the story as she was impatient to know what exactly happened 4 years ago.
“Sorry Khany please start with the story.” Yuna apologized
Khan began his story while keep an eye on Yuna in case she tried anything funny
4 years ago at the Japanese mansion that Khan still currently lives at, he decided to have a chat with his parents about inheriting the clan from his father.
In the massive main hall of the mansion where the La’Ameraza Clan held all their Clan events, Yaza was lazily laying on Sarah’s lap.
Khan respectfully bowed to his parents when he approached them.
“Congratulations, my son. You’ve done well on becoming the youngest to advance to the expert Ki class.” Sarah said as she stroked his father hair.
“You couldn’t have done it without me my son!” Yaza proudly said.
“No disrespect father, but I did do it without you as you loafed around all day playing with mother.”
“Unforgiving! How could you say that to the man that raised you to who you are now?” Yaza said as he looked at Sarah to back him up.
“We can’t deny that you did put in some effort to teaching him on how to be a man, but you didn’t actually show him anything that would benefit his training.” Sarah said.
“Did I at least do a good job of helping him become a respectable man then?” Yaza asked.
“Yes, even at the tender age of 12, most men still can’t compare to our son.” Sarah said with her bewitching smile as she continued to stroke Yaza hair.
Yaza smiled like a young high school girl who got confessed by the boy of her dream.
His father only acted like this in front of his mother, but when he was in front of his clansmen he had the fearsome aura of a beast that made men shiver that within his presences. Khan didn’t hate this embarrassing side of his father because he understood that his mother was the destroyer of men.
She was a beauty that turned the head of every men she walked by, had a body that ripped out the hearts of men, and the angelic voice that shook their soul. What’s made all those quality come together to create a master piece was her innocent personality. She was devoted to his father, compassionate to all, and willingness to make the sacrifice for the ones she loved or cared about without asking for anything back.
Khan loved his mother very much because of her great qualities, but was also afraid of her because of her capabilities to control people to her will, even if she meant no harm. She controlled the La’Ameraza Clan from the shadow making all the major decisions while having his father execute all the plans to ensure the clan moves in the direction she wants.
Her plans had worked out successfully for her with the clan moving from making money from the suffering of others to a legitimate source of income. This benefited all the members of the group as they don’t have to wash their hands in blood anymore for the clan while getting paid more than enough to support their own families.
Of course Khan was proud of his father too because he was the one who had to do all the dirty and grunt work to make her plans work. Even if his father has the appearance of a man with no drive most of the time at home, he actually is a hard worker. If Sarah asked Yaza to eat poop to increase the income of the clan by a measly dollar, he would surely do it.
“Mother I want to inherit the clan from father, now that I’m stronger than him. I want to build up experience to increase the speed of my growth.” Khan said.
“I understand that managing the clan will be one of the fastest way for you to grow, but I’m afraid of your psychologically development will be hinder as you’re still a child.” She replied.
“Wouldn’t this be the fastest way for me to grow mentally?”
“It can be, but that’s not always the case. There are different variables that can set you back, stall you, or push you forward in your growth. You can reduce the unknown by taking certain action or doing your research to increase the probability of having whatever you want be achieved, but doesn’t mean that it can always go your way. Nothing is ever guaranteed my son. That is how the world works.”
“What can I do to prove to you I am fit to lead then?”
“I need you to prove that you have the capabilities to work with and lead others while understanding the troubles that they are going through life. I can’t deny that you have great achievement within your Ki mastery, but in the end you’re still a sheltered child. We held your hand your entire life. I will figure out what we can do to have you prove yourself.”
“Ok mother.”
“My son, you please understand that it’s not that I don’t trust you, but I don’t want to set you up for failure by giving you something that holds a heavy burden. I’ll have something ready as soon as I can, but don’t expect it to be easy.”
“Thank you Mother. I’ll be looking forward to it.”
Khan wasn’t mad at his mother at all for her decision. He understood that he lacked the social and leadership skills to lead a large organization because he lacked experience with others. Khan didn’t want to be spoon-fed by his parents like the other heirs of major clans were. He wants to be able to stand up on his own two feet that shook the world with every step he took.
He respectfully bowed to his parents and went to sleep early that night hoping that his mother will have a task for him ready by tomorrow. She was usually quick when it comes to getting what he needed.
Early morning Khan was meditating on the floor within his room, a small amount of Ki seeped from his body covering the entire floor of his room causing the air pressure to be slightly heavy.
He was able to get a few hours of sleep, but when he woke up he was starting to get nervous thinking about the task his mother would have for him. He tried his best to relax his mind by meditating since he woke up, but it would harder than expected.
This tale has been pilfered from Royal Road. If found on Amazon, kindly file a report.
The door to Khan’s room flew opened with Yuna running into the room.
“Good mor------“Yuna said as she fell forward from the change of air pressure from his Ki.
Khan quickly stopped meditating to go help Yuna up.
“Are you ok Yuna?” Khan asked.
“Owwie I think hurt my ankle a bit.” She replied.
Khan lightly massaged her ankle to relieve the pain. Yuna face blushed to a deep shade of red.
“Eww, Don’t touch me!” She screamed as she ran out the room.
Khan didn’t understand why she ran out at the time. He waited 5 minutes for Yuna to come back, but his mother came in instead. His mother found something for Khan late last night so she decided waited till morning to tell him what the plan was, and then sent him away as soon as she told him.
When Yuna came back to his room 15 minutes later he was long gone. That day, Khan and Yuna were supposed to go to the zoo in the afternoon and they had plans all summer to hang out like they do every summer break, but that didn’t happen because of his mother's plan.
The plan was to send him to become butler and bodyguard to Shiro Yukimura. This was arranged between Sarah and Shiro’s mother. They both were best friends because of the time they spent together as priestess for the ancient clan that they used to be in, before they got married. Shiro’s mother married the heir to the Yukimura Clan giving birth to Shiro who carries her special bloodline that give them the beautiful famous white hair and blue eyes that they’re known for.
The only ones that knew about this arrangement were the parents in both parties, but this was still dangerous because Yukimura Clan is a direct rival to the La’Ameraza Clan. The clans were slowly warming up to each other because of the connections between the first ladies. This was a slow process because there were still high ranking members within the Yukimura Clan that carried hatred for the La’Amerza Clan.
Sarah wanted to give Khan the experiences of being a foot soldier for clan to interact with other people that would be on his level and experience the different leadership style of the Yukimura clan.
Another reason why Sarah wanted Khan to go to the Yukimura Clan was because they’re going through the change from an underworld organization to a legitimate one. This was something the clan was struggling with as they faced resistance from within the clan. Currently it was a mix of legitimate business that was in the growth phase and century old lucrative business that was raking in large amount of money with little to no effort.
With this Khan would be able to experience the unrest within the organization while seeing the decisions that will change the Yukimura Clan. This would be valuable experience for Khan because he will be able to see firsthand failures and success that will occur so he would be able to use the experiences for himself in the future.
Khan will be wearing a disguise to hide his identity, but it wouldn’t matter as he is only known by a few people. He spent most of his time at school, training, or with Yuna keeping a low presence from the other clans.
His disguise will consist of cutting his long hair short, glasses with non-prescript lens, and a made up background history. His conditions for this mission is to hide his identity at all cost, no uses of his high level Ki skills, and no contact with the La’Ameraza clan. Sarah set the time period to be to around 3 – 4 months. His time there can’t be too short or he won’t gain the knowledge and experience, but if he’s there too long, then he could be caught as a spy from the hostile members of the Yukimura Clan.
When he arrived to the Yukimura mansion, it was comparable to the La’Ameraza mansion. The person who greeted Khan was not the parents of Shiro’s, but her uncle and younger brother of her father. He was a muscular man with scars all over his body and face.
He wore black dress pants with white beaters that showed off his bunging muscle that was bigger than Yaza’s. Khan was warned by his mother to avoid contact with this person at all cost as he is extremely unstable and dangerous. The biggest problem is that he also recently advanced to expert Ki class.
His face was red because he was tipsy from drinking Sake right out of a massive bottle. Khan felt that he was intentional letting his Ki seep out to intimidate Khan, but Khan didn’t feel intimidated at all because his Ki was much greater due to his legendary Ki body he inherited from his mother.
“Kid I’ve been waiting for you, I heard from my sister-in-law that you’ll be chosen to be the bodyguard of my lovely niece.” He said as he licked his lips.
Khan bowed respectfully to the man.
“Yes sir, I’m from the hidden clan of Naru. I was trained to be a bodyguard for heirs of powerful clans. Our clan has already received the payment for the mission.” Khan lied.
The man bent down to get a closer look at Khan’s face. Khan could feel the breath of the man blowing in his face. It reeked of alcohol, but Khan didn’t move at all.
“You’re nothing special kid, you still smell like your mother’s milk.” He said as he laughed hysterically.
The man was intentional provoking Khan, but he wasn’t taking the bait.
“Sorry sir that might’ve been the soymilk I had this morning.” Khan said emotionlessly.
“Oh you think you’re funny kid?” he said as he laughed hysterically again.
“…”
Khan didn’t say anything, but kept staring back at the man.
“My name is Goryuki Yukimura, you better remember my name kid. Now get out of my sight Kid, better take care of my niece or I’ll rip out your throat if I see a single hair missing from her hair.
Khan walked past Goryuki going up the long flights of stairs to get to the main hall where he will be escorted to Shiro for their first meeting.
