The guy suddenly removed his attention over the ramen pictures and shifted his gaze over the beautiful lady who was sitting beside him right now.
Hayla stared at him expecting nothing. She thought he’s just probably going to ignore her again, but strangely enough. It made the guy look at him too.
“Astaroth… My name’s Astaroth, it’s too long and annoying so please just call me anything you like.”
Hayla stared at him with strange eyes.
“That’s your full name?”
Astaroth gave her an irritated smile. He looks so annoyed over her question.
“Astaroth Muero.”
Hayla realized it was a rude thing to ask for their name without introducing herself too, so she soon introduced herself.
“I forgot to introduce myself, my name is Hayla… Farhayla Santos.”
Astaroth smiled and offered her a hand.
“Nice to meet you, Hayla.”
“Nice to meet you too Asta.”
Hayla didn’t shake his hand. She was afraid his smell would linger on her. She was too afraid to have his smell to the point it was showing in her eyes.
“....”
“....”
Although after that, it became really awkward. After exchanging introductions, there were no topics to talk about that's why they were forced to face the silence. Thankfully, the food soon arrived and broke the silence! The owner placed both the ramen in front of them.
The ramen looks normal in the eyes of Hayla. It’s usually what she always eats. That’s why she finds it very normal.
However, in the eyes of Astaroth. It was his… Very first real meal.
‘At last… I miss its taste so much!!’

If only Astaroth could let his thoughts run wild, he would have screamed in joy. After millions of years over that place, where the only ones he had eaten at that side are demons, the cheap looking ramen in front of him feels like a luxury dinner for him.
The fragrance was so sweet and beautiful, it made him feel drowsy. It’s like eating high ranking demons, although the demons tasted awful, it made him drool so much he even forgot that he was with Hayla.
Without wasting a second, Asta immediately took the initiative and started eating. He couldn’t hold himself anymore.
“ITSSSSS SOOO DELICCCCIOOOUSSSSSSSSSSS!!”
Asta feasted on the ramen and finished it so fast to the point both the owner and Hayla looked at him dumbfoundedly.
“Second, please!”
The owner took the bowl from him and hurried from the kitchen.
Hours had passed…
Asta finally finished his last meal and started rubbing his stomach. It looks so bloated since he ate so many servings of ramen. Hayla even finds it disturbing how all of it just fitted inside those small bodies of his.
Now that everything is over, Hayla decides that she’ll be bringing him back to his house. She was bit worried that the man in question might try and suicide again. Actually, it wasn’t a problem of her’s but, if it does really happen, she’ll definitely never forget about it.
“Do you know where your home is? I’ll escort you home.”
Asta pondered about it for a second before replying, “Yes, I can still remember my home.”
Although Asta could only vaguely remember it, he told her that he knows the very least. It would save him trouble too finding a way back home.
Hayla stood up and started walking out the shop.
“Let’s go, I’ll drive you home.”
“Okayyy.”
Asta followed her outside and after walking for a long while, they arrived in a cool looking 3 storey building house. Hayla opened the garage, and soon came out with a car and shouted to Asta.
“Get insidee!”
Asta entered the vehicle and sat at the backseat. The car was so comfy for him since it was his first time riding such a thing after a long time.
“Where is your place?”
“11th Street of Alabang.”
And without even saying anything, Hayla started the engine and they soon left.
They drove for a while, and soon after driving for hours, Hayla dropped Asta off the nearby Police Station at Alabang Street.
Hayla opened the door for Asta.
“I guess this will be the last time we’ll be seeing each other.”
“Yes, the last one.”
Somehow, hearing him say the last made Hayla smile. As soon as Asta got out of her car, Hayla immediately started the engine and left.
Asta watched as the sight of her car became smaller and disappeared into the distance. And soon, a big genuine smile crept up in his face.
Asta looked at his small and pale hands. It’s appearance still the same back when he was at that world, however…
“I can finally die…”
He can feel it. Although he doesn't know yet whether he can really die or not, he’s pretty much sure he’s no longer immortal.
Asta fixed his eyes into the road. The same old street he used to stroll around back then was still the same. There were no changes in the buildings, the same old apartments were still at the same places. Although some markets he knew already closed down, and some were replaced with malls. Nothing pretty much changed.
“I’m home…. I’m finally home…”
Somehow, the sky feels heavy for him. Like, it’s about to start raining at any moment. Asta’s eyes started to become cloudy. Asta started roaming around the street, before stopping into a 4 storey apartment.
Although even when facing countless gods and demon kings, Asta has never been more afraid than now…
Asta took the stairs and climbed till the 4th floor, and at the last large room on the 4th floor, Asta stopped at the doorway. How many times had he dreamed of this moment. While stuck at that hell, Asta never lost hope of seeing this day come. A hundred, millions, billions of times had Asta dreamed of this moment…
Asta wiped away the tears slowly falling off his eyes, and braced himself.
And finally finding the courage and determination to do it, Asta knocked on the door in front of him.
“Who’s there?? Ailah did you order another one of those things from online!!”
“I didn’t, MOM!”
Asta could hear familiar voices beyond the door. They were still the same as he remembered them, chaotic and always out for fight.
“One second please…”
The voice beyond the door rang once more…. And soon enough, the door slowly opened, and a beautiful middle aged lady appeared in front of him. Despite her looking old, there were still visible remnants of how pretty she was back when she was young…
It was the face of someone he would never ever forget. Although her face changed a little bit and became older, there’s no way he would ever forget her face… Asta became emotional, and soon enough, his eyes were suddenly flooding with tears…
“I’m home, Mom.” Asta smiled genuinely after a millions of years…
