It was terrible. I am truly not a pace writer. I'm too fond of taking my time and letting the story find me. The constant sprint of having to get to the next plot point really degraded my writing. BUT. I'm so pumped to have finally done it. I've been trying to complete it for 5/6 years now. Even before I started this account, I had attempted the challenge on another account in 2017 and 2019. Failed both spectacularly. No clue how big it was for me that I did it. Never ever doing it again. Ever. But happy to finally say I've done it. I'm a lot more confident in my ability to write at a higher volume. Which is good news! Speaking of good news.

The Deathseeker finally returns! For real! It drops 24 hours after this launches. Dec 22nd at 2am EST. The first 20k words will drop in a flurry of chapters between Sunday and Monday. Likely four on each day, but maybe five on Sunday and three on Monday. We'll see. From there, I'll be posting Wednesday, Friday, Sunday, Tuesday, and then Wednesday again and that will be the start of the official release schedule. Its Wednesdays at 9pm and Sundays at 12pm.

So. What's changed? I did mention it was a substantial revision. Well. The MAJOR plot points are the same. Dalric will wake up in a jungle meet some friendly animals, then even friendlier humans and overall have a great time in the Akai Ken. Many of the finer details have changed though. Too many to list to be honest, but one of the major ones that required the most reshuffling is that Dalric's contract with the Gods has been completely written. We didn't really get into the details in the old Deathseeker, but things like 'they can control him for a bell every 12 bells (two hours every day)' are gone. Replaced with, I think, more specific and interesting rules and specifications. Don't worry, Dalric still mitigates the control early on, but the how and why have changed.
