Seeing the Dragon Soul Special Forces elites burning with righteous fury, Gavin nodded solemnly. "I'll go with you!"
"Even if we take off this uniform, we'll make sure Commander-in-Chief Ramsey gets the justice he deserves!"
"He fought on the front lines, sweeping across battlefields, winning honor and respect for our people!"
"If a hero like him returns to Brighton only to be humiliated by petty villains, where's the justice in that?" Gavin checked the time, then looked around at the elite soldiers before him.
"Ladies and gentlemen, there's no need to fly to Military Command Headquarters right now. I'm authorizing access to the operations room. We'll use the wartime video link to contact Commander Baxter directly!"
"After that, we head straight to Brighton University!"
The entire Dragon Soul Special Forces unit immediately fell into formation, sprinting toward the operations
room.
Hunter sat at his desk the Special Operations Military Region Command Headquarters, his gaze fixed on the gleaming golden trophy in front of him.
This was the championship trophy from the International Military Skills Competition on Qacalisle Island, a hard-fought victory won by the Dragon Soul Special Forces.
For the past 20 years, Draconia's military leadership and the entire Special Operations Military Region had fought tirelessly to break into the top three of this competition.
Even securing a bronze medal would have been considered a dream come true, but time and time again, they fell just short.
Their best finish had been a heartbreaking fourth place, barely missing the podium by the slimmest of margins. After that, their performance declined, and eventually, the leadership had to lower their expectations-finishing in the top seven became their new benchmark.
This year, however, the International Military Skills Competition was hosted by the Thalrex Order, making it even more significant.
The military high command had issued Hunter and the Military External Affairs Bureau an ultimatum- Draconia must place in the top three.
Hunter had been losing sleep over it before the competition, but against all odds, Robin brought home the championship.
The moment the military leadership received the news, they were overjoyed. They had planned a grand award ceremony for the Dragon Soul Special Forces once the team had some time to rest.
But Robin had shocked everyone-he chose to retire immediately upon returning and made it clear he wanted no part in the ceremony.
Hunter knew exactly why.

The Dragon Manor case remained unsolved. Robin wouldn't rest until he avenged his family.
By shedding his military titles and honors, he could fight with no restraints and no burdens.
For the past 20 years, the Seven Kings had never let go of this grudge.
But high command repeatedly warned that this case involved far-reaching consequences and was not to
be investigated too deeply. They hinted that before the Dragon Lord disappeared from Mount Valurian Dragonhold, he had left specific instructions regarding this matter, though no one knew the details.
As Hunter pondered this, his eyes remained fixed on the trophy. At that moment, Chief of Staff Caleb walked in.
"Commander Baxter, a 20-year dream has finally come true-this is incredible!"
"The top brass is very pleased as well."
"It's just a shame that Commander-in-Chief Ramsey chose to retire. He was one of our finest warriors." Hunter's smile slowly faded.
Running a hand over the championship trophy, he let out a quiet sigh.
Twenty years ago, this very trophy had once stood proudly in Draconia's Military External Affairs Bureau.
A man-made disaster had wiped out all the glory of that era.
Hunter let out a long sigh. "We failed the Dragon Lord. We've let him down."
"Twenty years and the Dragon Manor massacre is still an unsolved case."
"Two generations of us couldn't give Master Ramsey an answer. It's shameful."
"I understand why he resigned from all his positions this time."
"My hands are tied by my military duties-I can't do more for Master Ramsey. This is as far as I can go."
"Besides, my influence wouldn't be enough to truly help him. I'd only be a burden."
"He did this to keep Draconia from being dragged into the mess. He's a real hero, a true man."
"Commander Baxter, sir!" Xavier and Wilson hurried into the command office.
"General Brooks from the Wolfsbane Summit military base just called."
"He's requesting an emergency wartime video call."
Hunter's expression shifted slightly. "Wasn't Dragon Soul Special Forces given three days of rest?"
Wilson responded, "General Brooks informed us that the entire Dragon Soul unit has requested retirement."
"The entire unit?" Hunter shot up from his seat. "What the hell? Did those b*stards win one championship and now think they can throw a tantrum?"
Wilson frowned "Something hannened with General Ramsey They want to stand un for him" 914

Hunter's anger flared. "They're retiring just to back up General Ramsey? What do they think we are, some kind of street gang?"
Wilson hesitated for a moment before explaining, "Commander Baxter, it's complicated. Gavin only mentioned that General Ramsey's sister, Joanna, has been slandered and maliciously attacked online." The internet is flooded with negative rumors about her right now..."
Hunter slammed his palm against the desk. "D*mn it! Let's go to the operations room and see what's going
on!"
Inside the video command center of the Special Operations Military Region's operations room, Hunter faced the screen displaying a row of young Dragon Soul elite soldiers. Before he could even speak, Talia stepped forward.
"Commander Baxter, I'm requesting to retire!"
Immediately after, Catherine, Freya, Maverick, Brendon, and the rest of the Dragon Soul unit all declared their intent to retire on the spot.
They stood there, brimming with fierce determination, their eyes burning as if they were about to charge into battle. Hunter's voice dropped to a low, steady tone. "Is this because of Commander-in-Chief Ramsey?"
"Yes, Commander Baxter!" the ten elites responded in unison.
Catherine glared at Hunter, her tone sharp. "If we were the kind of people who only cared about trophies and honor while turning a blind eye to Commander-in-Chief Ramsey, then we'd be the ungrateful ones!" "He fought tooth and nail at Qacalisle Island to bring glory to our country, only to come home and watch his family be slandered by cowards? This is unacceptable!"
"Even if we take off this uniform, we will still stand up for Commander-in-Chief Ramsey and Joanna!" "If those who serve with distinction can't even be protected and respected, then what's the point of wearing this uniform?"
"If we can't punish those who spread lies, then what are we even fighting for? Are we putting our lives on the line just to protect a bunch of backstabbing sc*ms?"
"Well said!" Hunter nodded firmly.
"If you all had heard about General Ramsey's situation and did nothing, I'd be the one disappointed in you."
"The higher-ups will support this too."
"I approve your retirements-but once this matter is settled, you're all coming back!"
"Chief Walker, prep the helicopter! I'm personally heading to headquarters to report this."
"Additionally, in the name of the Special Operations Military Region Command Headquarters, inform the Westeria Residence Intelligence Bureau and the Northlorn Residence Police Department to fully cooperate in tracking down and punishing those responsible for defaming General Ramsey's family." "Once we confirm who's behind this-no matter who they are they will pay a heavy price!"noveldrama
