Louis placed his body inside the red slide with slight discomfort. The coldness of the slide pushed against his clothes made him feel weirded out. He sighed as he pushed himself downwards. At the start, it would go then gradually speed up. The red slide was very long, and Louis had his eyes open to look at his surroundings.
After a few meters downwards, the ceiling of the slide turned light red as sunlight reflected upon it before the slide itself turned to glass. He could see a pool room that stretched out infinitely and found it unbelievable. The ceiling of this 'pool room' was incredibly large, and he could even see pools upside down with water in them, but for some reason, the water was not dripping downwards, making him doubt the reality of this room.
The warmth of the sunlight made Louis's brown caramel eyes shine brightly as he squinted before the glass ceiling disappeared and was replaced with a metallic dark slide. The red plastic slide turned into dark-grey metal and Louis's body felt uncomfortable riding down it. He heard various pipes running water above him and metallic gears spinning.
Before he could think, loud water was heard as he suddenly stopped in the slide. To his left, a hole was opened and it was dark inside. He heard the gushing of water flowing towards him and he was instantly scared. He knew he would die here if he didn't continue to slide downwards. The dark blue water ran towards him menacingly before the opening shut. Water pushed against the sealed metal door.
Metallic gears moving was once heard again as Louis found the slide to separate towards another slide. The slide began moving as the darkness beneath it made him not want to move further. He could see another metallic slide which his slide connected to. Then another sound of metallic gear as he began sliding once again for some reason. This new slide journey lasted for a mere seconds before he could see light at the end.
His body fell out of the slide landing on his buttocks and Louis groaned in pain as he looked back at the dark end of the metal slide. He tucked his shirt in and stood up touching the cold ground before looking around in awe.
In front of him was a large table filled with small monitors that had cameras everywhere. In the eastern continent technology was not that advanced nor was it really advanced anywhere leaving the people pretty bored back home. So, seeing this sight made him skeptical. He wondered what in the world he was even seeing!
Louis slowly approached the monitors as his cold hands touched the bottom one that was piled on by many others side by side. At the feed, a black door that was slightly open was seen. On the different camera feeds he could see different places, a slide on one feed and a large stage on another. This made him wonder if this was some sort of magic.
Before he could even have a thorough examination, he heard a rustling sound coming from above. Looking at the ceiling he saw many dark pipes scattering across it. All contain water. He was skeptical as he knew that the pipes were not that strong for such a sheer amount of water. The slide behind him closed shut as Louis shivered. He slowly looked at the slide which began making strange noises before opening once again.
However, now he heard a man screaming inside there. A far cry. Louis didn't make a sound and was taken aback. He brought out his fists ready to fight. However, the man screaming inside the slide was Russel as he fell to the ground groaning in pain. He was sweating and placed his bronze glasses back on his face as he looked at Louis.
"What an awful experience!" He cried out.
Louis returned to his original state as he shook his head. He then began walking towards the table to have a closer inspection. On the table was a black cylinder that had a white glass on the front. To its left was a rectangular shiny card that had words written on it and a picture of a man. Louis had no idea what any of these were and grabbed the black cylinder, inspecting it slowly.
There was a button where his thumb rested, and he looked at Russel who had a complicated look whilst glaring at the monitors in awe. Louis took his attention back to the cylinder and he slowly touched it, and a faint sparkling sound was made. The button was pushed downwards and the glass got warm before a sudden light abrupted from it. It was no other than a flashlight.
Louis was surprised as he slowly pushed the button once again and the sparkling sound was made one more time before the light dispersed. He placed the cylinder on the ground and massaged his temples lightly before letting out a deep sigh.

I've never seen such a design for a kerosene lamp. Is it even classified as a lamp? Although light was created by pushing a singular button it was very different from the lamps back in his world. Russel was approaching Louis and touched the card that was shining. Before any of them could have a further inspection of the card another scream was heard. This time it was blood screeching. The slide rustled and began shaking as a bulky man fell out of it in pain.
He hit the ground and his breathing was heavy. It was Grover. He was looking at the two with fear in his eyes as he stood up quickly. Still breathing heavily, he let out a cry as he began speaking up.
"I've never seen such in my life! What in the world did I travel through?" He cried out as he looked at the dark and empty metal slide behind him. Louis shook his head before taking the card away from Russel. He looked at the card and tried to decipher what was in the world that was written on it. A sentence written in a black font was seen.
"Karl Johansen- Security Guard- Security Pass Level 5"
It was in a different language so Louis couldn't understand. He simply sighed and placed the card back on the table as he began pacing back and forth throughout the room. The bulky man was simply looking at the cameras not caring much for Louis. As Louis was lost deep in thought Russel broke the silence.
"There doesn't seem to be anywhere we can go now, except that door over there." He pointed at a dark room to the left of the monitors. A black symbol was seen above it casting its shadows across the room. The symbol was an upside-down symbol of Mother Earth!
Mother Earth? She truly exists. Although Louis was a non-believer, he couldn't help but feel hopeful as he looked at the symbol. But that was short-lived as Russel spoke up.
"Mother Earth's symbol but upside down. We all know what that means."
Louis went silent as he looked at the symbol. An upside-down symbol of any god and goddess meant that a secret organization was behind it. They were evil and would always try to destroy anything in their way. In the eastern continent, the capital Mindale the upside-down symbol of Mother Earth was known as The Black Eagle Organization, and they were the reason for a mass murder back in the day. They were destroyed by the Mighty Order and White Guardians and were never seen again.
Thanks to them this left an impression of the upside-down symbols which made Louis shiver. They must be back for a round two. They're probably the reason the three of us died and were sent to this prison of theirs or perhaps we never died and were kidnapped.
The bulky man immediately shook his head. "We are not going there! You lot will die the second you pass through that door." He was clearly scared and wouldn't dare to mess with a secret organization. Louis nodded and spat out the same words.
Russel was the only one who was silent. There was no other way to get out of this room other than to climb back up the slide, which was impossible, or go through the room which also had a strange mechanical device to its right. Russel began thinking deeply.
If I head through that room. I will be risking death, but it is better than to starve here! He headed towards the door and tried to pull it open, however, the door wouldn't move.
"You crazy bastard! You want to place a curse upon us?" The tycoon screamed in fear as if he was horrified. Louis was taking a few steps back, not wanting to take any risks. Russel took a deep sigh as the door wouldn't budge. He began thinking deeply as he looked at the ominous symbol.
As he looked at the mechanical device on the left side of the door he looked at the black cylinder and then at the shiny card. Although he couldn't understand what both truly were he had a slight idea of what the black cylinder did. Not what the shiny card. So, he grabbed the card and headed over to the mechanical gear.
"I've seen Guardians do this before. They put some sort of a device into a reader that opens doors." He saw a small hole that would fit the exact card he was holding. As such he placed the shiny-blueish card inside the reader and a faint sound was heard. Before the whole device shined green the door slowly opened.
Bam!
The door opened fully and the dark hallway inside was seen. Louis, Russel, and Grover looked at each other wary. The silence continued before Russel spoke up.
"It clear that we must go inside."
The tycoon around this time didn't say anything, leaving Louis surprised before he looked back at Russel and nodded. Russel led the way, however, Louis picked up the flashlight and pushed the button leaving the hallway seeable. There were many dark pipes on its walls on both sides. A few rats were running away and the sounds of water dripping downwards. Russel was the one holding the flashlight since he led the way, and he was pretty scared.
The bulky man was in the middle as he refused to be last. As such Louis was the one all the way behind. He had a complicated expression as his eyes were darting around the place looking at all the things. All the way in front of them was an opening that casts blue light, and a glass cylinder that held bubbling water inside.
They all looked at each other before they headed inside the opening. The room was huge and had multiple glass cylinders having water inside. A dark humanoid person that was hidden inside was seen. Louis touched the cold glass as he was in awe he couldn't explain such a scene.
All the books of the Gods and Goddess never talk about this. They do not seem to have any sort of relevance to this sort of 'afterlife'. Can you even call this an afterlife? Louis massaged his forehead as he let out a sigh. Grover headed over to a metal table as he slowly touched its dark cover.
On top of it was a small book that had yellowish paper and was opened. Sentences could be seen in dark cursive font. A fountain pen resting above. Taking it away the bulky man lifted it as his eyes widened. Louis and Russel quickly headed over to him and the man began reading out loud.
"Welcome to your first sequence."
