Chapter 3: The Countess Confronts the Count

In the main residence of the Thorne estate, the Countess Isabella Thorne was in a heated argument with her husband, Count Victor Thorne. Her voice was filled with anger and frustration as she confronted him.

"How could you let this happen, Victor? Our son is lying unconscious, and it's all because of your ridiculous duel!"

Count Victor remained stoic, his voice cold and unyielding. "Isabella, I told you my reasons. Rio needed to be tested. He had to prove himself if he is to become a strong and capable leader."

Isabella shook her head, tears threatening to fall. "He's our son, Victor! You could have found another way to help him grow, not this cruel competition that has left him unconscious!"

As they continued to argue, a messenger arrived, breathless from running. "My Lord, My Lady, I have urgent news. Young Master Rio has awakened."

The Count and Countess immediately stopped arguing, their attention now fully on the messenger.

"Are you certain?" the Countess asked, her voice filled with hope and worry.

"Yes, My Lady. Maid Emily saw him awake and has already informed the rest of the household," the messenger replied.

Isabella glanced at Victor, her anger momentarily pushed aside by the relief of knowing that their son was awake. "I want to see him," she said, determination in her voice.

Victor raised his hand, stopping her. "No, we must not rush to him. He may still be weak from the ordeal. Instead, I will have Albert summon him to the estate when he is ready."

The Countess hesitated, wanting to see her son immediately but understanding the wisdom in her husband's words. Reluctantly, she nodded her agreement.

"Very well, Victor. But I insist on seeing him as soon as he is able to come."

Count Victor nodded, his expression unreadable. "Of course, Isabella. I shall have Albert summon Rio at the earliest opportunity."

With that settled, the couple returned to their duties within the estate, both eager and anxious for the upcoming meeting with their son, Rio, who had finally awakened from his coma.
