The next day, Fyrielle woke to find Luna curled up beside her. With a gentle nudge, she roused Luna from her sleep.
"Good morning, little Lou" Fyrielle greeted Luna with a soft rumble.
Luna blinked her fiery purple eyes, still heavy with sleep, and gave a small chirp in response. Rising to her feet, Fyrielle stretched her wings, the vibrant hues of her scales shimmering in the morning light.
"Today, we're going to explore the forest together," Fyrielle announced to Luna, excitement evident in her voice.
Luna's tail wagged eagerly as they made their way towards the entrance of the cavern, Verethorn still sleeping, tired from the previous days adventure, his breath's heavy and rumbling.
As they emerged from the cave, the morning light shined down on them. The air was alive with the sounds of birds chirping and rustling leaves. "what's a goblin doing here? Hmm. It looks like a scout" Fyrielle said, confused.
Luna began looking around, until she saw a green figure. Her curiosity peaked, she ran towards the goblin, pouncing with a mixture of excitement and curiosity. The goblin stumbled back, surprised it had been seen. Landing on the goblin, lunas claws grabbed the goblins shoulders, pushing it to the ground. Luna was excited she had a new friend to play with but the goblin wasn't a fan of the idea, it's eyes widened and it's face filled with fear as the dragon slightly bigger than itself stood over it, pinning the goblin down with a firm grip.
A mischievous smile plastered across Fyrielles face, an idea forming in her head "let it go, Luna" she said.
Luna, not wanting to let her new friend go, reluctantly got off the goblin, allowing it to run away.
"You have it's scent do you not? Follow it, not too closely though"
Luna began to follow after the goblin, far enough to not be noticed and close enough to keep sight it of it. Fyrielle also began to follow slowly, trying to be as quiet as she could while avoiding the trees.
A few minutes of chasing the goblin passed, until it entered a clearing, revealing a wooden entrance to a village. The walls surrounding the village stood several feet into the air, adorned with small wooden spikes of varying sizes sticking out at random intervals. Two goblins stood outside the entrance, both of them wearing old tattered clothes and holding a wooden spear. Next to one of the guards was a bell hanging from a piece of wood sticking out of the wall. The terrified goblin ran up to the guards, shouting in an incomprehensible language, which stole the guards attention.
Luna hid behind a bush, her purple eyes watching through the leaves. She could barely contain her excitement as she hadn't seen creatures like this before in the few days she had been alive. Fyrielle quietly snuck up behind Luna, her head lowered "goblins are disgusting, horrible creatures. Weak and easy to kill. Perfect for some practice" she whispered,
Hearing something, one of the guards looked around, seeing two small glowing purple eyes peeking through a bush and above it, a large dark figure, shrouded in darkness, it's eyes a fiery gold. The guard, seeing the large figure, shouted something and rang the bell, alerting the whole village. The other guard and the scared goblin turned to see the four glowing eyes looking back at them. "Appears we've been seen" Fyrielle remarked "you can-" before fyrielle could finish, Luna took off towards the guards, pouncing at the guard ringing the bell, her teeth digging deep into it's neck and the guards cries for help turned to gurgles as blood filled it's throat.

Disgusted by the taste of goblin, Luna removed her jaw from its neck, blood squirting from the punctures. She turned to the other two goblins, the scout trembled as he watched the other guard die so easily. Luna began to utter a low growl as the other guard pointed his wooden spear at her. Opening her mouth, she began to let out a stream of fire at the guard and the scout, setting them both ablaze, the scent of burning flesh filled the air as the two goblins flailed about about in agony, eventually collapsing from the pain.
Emerging from the bushes and trees, Fyrielle lifted her head and approached the entrance to the village, Luna looking up at her, proud of herself her eyes filled with joy.
"Well done, little Lou" Fyrielle looked down at her daughter, proud of the small accomplishment. "Go enjoy yourself. Kill, maim and slaughter these wretches to your hearts content. I'll stay here and prevent them from leaving for you"
Luna turned to the inside of the village, several tents outlined the circular shape of the walls and a single two story wooden building stood in the middle.
Hearing the bell and the commotion at the entrance, all the goblins in the village had begun to run around, grabbing various weapons ranging from wooden spears and bows to metal daggers as if they were preparing for a war. Upon seeing the unorganized goblins, bloodlust began to run through Luna's veins and a sadistic smile plastered her face.
"So she does take after me after all" Fyrielle thought to herself, feeling the bloodlust emanating from Luna. A grim smile forming at the corners of her lips as she watched her daughter unleash the fury of her red dragon heritage.
Charging into the goblin village, Luna focused her attention to the hut in the centre, letting out a stream of fire at its base. Goblins armed with wooden spears began charging at Luna as she admired the spreading fire
"Look around you, Luna" Fyrielle said, noticing Luna's carelessness.
Luna began to survey her surroundings, noticing she was surrounded by ten armed goblins. Attempting to get out of this situation, she opens her mouth, preparing to let out a stream of flames, however, only sparks flew. Not sure of what to do, Luna began to try to Intimidate the goblins, letting out a roar worthy of a young dragon and spreading out her wings, revealing them to be a dark grey and lightly bigger than her body. The approaching goblins froze in place for a a few seconds, giving Luna the opportunity to run up to two of them and swipe her claws at the their ankles, severing their feet from their legs and causing them to fall forward backwards screaming in pain, creating an opportunity for Luna to escape the encircling goblins.
Turning around, Luna prepared herself as goblins - now able to move again - turn to glare at her, their hands trembling. One of the goblins let a gutteral battle cry, that served as a rallying cry for the others, prompting them to charge forward towards Luna.
The first charging goblin wielded a wooden spear. It lunged it's crude weapon at her. However, Luna was too fast, swiftly dodging to the left and swiping her claws across the goblins stomach, causing its blood and guts to spill onto the floor.
Thwip
An arrow whizzed past luna, narrowly missing her slender body, which caught her off guard and distracting her for a moment. Seizing this opportunity, another goblin took it's dagger and brought it down diagonally down on Luna while she looked away.
Rapidly turning to the goblin, Luna noticed the attack and sidestepped in the opposite direction of the dagger's trajectory. But before she could fully evade the strike, the dagger grazed her side, leaving a deep gash. In pain, Luna let out a fierce roar and instinctively swung her tail towards the goblin, aiming to knock it off balance. However, another goblin rushed forward, its dagger slicing through the air and cutting off approximately two inches of Luna's tail. With a cry of agony, Luna stumbled backward, her balance thrown off by the sudden loss of her tail. Blood dripped from the wound as she struggled to regain her composure. The goblin that severed the tip of her tail picked it up off the floor and began waving it around in the air, snickering in the process.
Fyrielle cried out in worry "LUNA!!!!" Seething with anger, she ran towards Luna. Crushing the walls that stood in her way. The goblins froze yet again as the behemoth approached them. Coming to a stop, Fyrielle took her front right claw and squashed the goblins near Luna, and taking her left claw, picked up Luna, holding her closely to her chest.
"it's okay, Lou," Fyrielle whispered soothingly to Luna, her voice a comforting melody
Turning to the rest of the village and remainder of the goblins, Fyrielle drew in a deep breathe, the goblins stared, their eyes wide, aware of their imminent death. Letting out a torrent of bright crimson flames, she torched the goblin village, the fire burning hot enough to turn everything to ash in mere moments.
