Chapter 7- The Cries of the Artheians

Chapter 7- The Cries of the Artheians

"King Marvin, we cannot let go of these migrants, or else the Artheians will question your judgment and position." Commander Black hesitates to explain to the King.

King Marvin sighs; he cannot go against the decision given by God. No matter what he does, he cannot say no. He stands up from his chair and looks over the view seen in his window. It shows the sun lighting up for the Kingdom and the magnificent beauty of the mountains. His heart cries for his people, but he must do it.

"Black, some things are hard to explain. You know what is happening to my Queen, right? There are things that we cannot understand, so we could only depend on what the Gods tell us to do. Many items are happening inside the castle that we cannot say to anyone." He turns to look at Commander Black and sadly grins. "We've been friends since the very beginning. You know me better than my Queen," he chuckles after, "this might be the last thing that I could tell you."

"My King! Please do not say such words!" Commander Black feels incredibly worried about what he is hearing because of the possible outcomes that might face his friend and the ruler of the Artheiaya.

"No, Black. I am asking you to do your best to protect the children. They are crucial for what the Gods are planning for us. It would help if you never let them be in danger. Do everything that you could to protect them." As the King says this, his hands are shaking, knowing what will undoubtedly be the outcome to everyone in his family.

"King Marvin_." Black feels his knees trembling from fear. He knew some odd things happening to the King and the Queen, but he never knew that it was such a massive dilemma that his friend has to sacrifice himself.

"Call every bloodline member of the family, I must tell them." He commanded the commander.

Commander Black reluctantly backs away from politely closes the door as he walks out of the room.

As King Marvin sees the door closes, he cannot help but waver and collapse on his chair. His hands both are quivering, and he felt his whole body shuddering from the thought. He closes his eyes and prays to his late mother and father.

"Forgive me, Father, Mother. I wasn't able to take care of our people and my brothers and sisters. I have greatly failed everyone." He clasps both of his hands together and tears well up in his eyes.

On the other hand, Commander Black is lost in his thoughts as he rides his horse to tell all royal members the king's message.

These past few years, many odd things have been happening inside the castle that cannot be disclosed to anyone. Only the core royal family members know the happenings and some loyal people of the royal family.

Priest Overmiere and the Queen had received a word from God a few years ago. By hinting them with a poem using the traditional language of Artheiaya that only the royal family could understand. It says, 'krysonium been,' which means offspring of light. This is also a familiar quote to anyone used by the ancestors to hint everyone to express hope and fate. Since then, the ancestors tell a story about their interactions with the Gods and the Almighty One. Many stories were created, but soon these stories are lost or destroyed due to old age.

It is understandable for the priest to see this message from God given to the priest, but they were surprised when Queen Saynier also received one. They were searching for hints when suddenly the Queen got pregnant. They were shocked when the King and Queen fought each other. When it was revealed that the King hadn't touched the Queen. But after a month of being pregnant, the Queen gave birth already but not to a child but an ovegrete. It looks like an egg but more distinguished and harder. It shines different colors, and this phenomenon only happens to children of a God, according to the books. When the physicians also feel the Queen's wrist, they always deduce that she is still a virgin even after birthing to five overgrete. It is like the time turns back every time she gave birth; the ovegrete didn't come out from her but will suddenly appear in front of her like an enchantment.

Thus, the King started understanding what is occurring to the Queen, but they must hide it to protect the Queen from ill-intent children. They were still looking for clues on what does the message means and why the Gods gave them twelve ovegrete.

They thought that it might be connected to the twelve Gods of this world. There are twelve continents in Myrthaysboer; Artheiaya, Norkriak, Cysticrus, Pazoragour, Litheruania, Auvodora, Wruicruterra, Moulrene, Drosian, Neodrerus, Shupruithia, and the Wysternia.

The Almighty God gave these continents to the twelve Gods according to the historical texts. The Serpent God, Glyvecaruis, rules the Artheiaya. In the ancient scriptures that are mostly gone by now, it was stated that the Glyvecaruis God is mostly dormant. It never appears as much as the other Gods in other continents. The last time it was seen was hundreds of decades ago when one of the Gods perished for an unknown reason. Back then, many Gods from other worlds started fighting. The Gods and many of its believers suffered. Up until now, there was no evident reason or explanation for what happened. Hence, the generations that come next thought of this narrative as only a myth created by their ancestors to established a stronger foundation for their religion and culture.

The Eagle God, Brichisyn rule the Norkriak situated in an overly forest-covered continent; Nokriak is one of the continents which never wanted to have any exchanges with other continents, making them all unknown and is believed to practice barbaric cultures still. They are grouped by tribes and are not as United as the Artheians. They worship many animals belonging under the supervision of Brichisyn. The only similarities are all of them have the power to fly and acts as a literal wild eagle.

On the other hand, the Eonalyrn or the Elk God that rules the continent Cysticrus is known for having the most peaceful and elegant manner of being wild. They trade with others but prefer seclusion. No one knows where they all live, but many could see Cystics in their continents. Some believe that they have a Kingdom under the ground. Pure Cystics are known for having lucky charms. They could create mediums of luck and second chance.

Eroeweth Lion God rules the Pazoragour. They are the most active continents known for their entertainment focused on the strongest Pazagour. Their continent is the center of the trading industry. They are striving with money, but their culture is mainly gone as many generations disregard their beliefs and started being independent.

Terivaria Leopard God, which rules Litheruania, is the opponent of Pazoragour. They are also strong and think that being wise and fast while fighting is more advantageous than just using muscles. Unlike Pazagours, Lithernias love their culture. They use it for their economy to boosts. Their merchandise could make someone run fast or make products faster than average commodities. They put a lot of effort into creating products that could make human life more manageable.

And that is why Wruicruterra, ruled by the Hailan Wolf God, hates them the most. Wruicruterra started such a business but was defeated by the Lithernias. They could only rely on creating raw products while Lithernias improve them and resell for a higher price.

Compare to other continents like Auvodora, Moulrene, Drosian, Neodrerus, Shupruithia, Wysternia, they all are undeveloped and, just like Norkriak, lives a life lower than the other continents. But they are easier to deal with. The only things that they lack are resources and a chance to improve. Because of this, they are not being put into concern by more significant continents.

These Gods all have their distinct powers and lands. And though the kingdoms don't touch each other, there are still many people who could travel across each Kingdom, and that is also because of the friendly terms of the Gods to each other. No one tried to break this relationship until the Gods vanished with no clue left behind for a reason. They were only contacted when big things happen.

Because of this, many people got the courage to now do despicable things to other Kingdoms. Thieves started getting more substantial to the point where the Kingdom of Neodrerus is now a Kingdom for Thieves. Almost everyone in there are thieves who attack other Kingdoms secretly. Also, they accept some mission from other people, and they will make sure to do it. Be it stealing something or killing someone. The only thing that probably holds them back is the royal family that they do not kill. The capital of Neodrerus is still free and clear of thieves. The royal family is still standing and slowly progressing.

But he cannot continue thinking about Neodrerus, the Artheiaya's royal family is now also in danger, and the King seems to have accepted it. No matter what, he must ensure that the Gods' plan will be taken to place in the future.

He arrives at the Royal Castle and saw a familiar person, "Prince Balt," a young man turns around and smiles at him.

"Black Horse_," there and then, Commander Black turns stiff.

He knew what the royal members would do once they knew, but this kid, he treats him like his child almost. He saw the second prince grew up. His breathing hitches as he takes a deep breath.

"Second Prince Baltrune Sadur Glyveruis," Prince Balt then looks shocked as he hears Commander Black's voice, "the King of Artheiaya asks for your presence."

"And everyone, right?" Prince Balt asks him. And when the latter saw how he froze, he sincerely smiled again, "I will call on them" before he turns around, and while walking, he looks over Commander Black, saying, "it's been a pleasure to meet you, Black."

The latter feels an extreme burning sensation, slowly scorching his spirit. Since then, no one knew what happened to the Royal Family. They quietly retreated from anyone's eyes. But this didn't help the Kingdom nor gave any reassurance to the Artheiayans. Instead, it made the people even more furious and full of hatred for their rulers as innocent people get killed.
