Chapter 6- Invisible to the Naked Eye

Chapter 6- Invisible to the Naked Eye

Everyone abruptly looks towards Priest Overmiere from what they've heard with a complicated expression.

The nobles think that the priest is taking advantage of the bizarre incidents that happened to relate it to his God again.

"Presumptuous! Priest Overmiere, the King, has been attacked, and here you are spouting nonsensical thing! Do not take advantage of your position and this unfortunate event to lure people into your own beliefs!" Marques Norsysia points his finger at Priest Overmiere with disbelief and anger.

"Right, Priest Overmiere, are you so pleased with what happened to the King, and you even had the time to be so irresponsible? You delayed the coronation a while ago by staring into that corner, and you didn't even care when the King got hurt." Duchess Mouryn asserts indirectly how the priest behaved a while ago, clearly trying to put discord amongst the priest and the others.

The other nobles look at Priest Overmiere with a certain glint in their eyes; knowing the intentions of Duchess Mouryn and Marques Norsysia, they also started to cry out their statements on the matter.

"Priest Overmiere, since the very beginning, you've always been against the movements of the royal family, but they still put you on their minds by making your stay and safe from harm these past few decades!" Viscount Flinbour exclaims.

"The royal family has respected you in any way they could, but you choose to return their mercy with that attitude?" Another noble mumbled.

"Stop! The royal family is still in the receiving hall; give your respect!" Commander Cheistian shouts out to them. He looks at Queen Adelina and walks towards her. "Queen Adelina, please go with the Mother Queen and King Rutherglen now. You need to go." He reminds her, but the latter continues looking at a particular corner, the same place that the priest is looking at. He, once again, looks at that corner and felt a familiar aura that he only could think of before the current royal family ascended the crown, the ancestors of the Artheiaya, the original royal family. His skin tightens as he looks into the darkness of that corner; whatever is in there, it was staring at him, and it is full of hatred, no, apathy to all of them. He unconsciously grips his sword hanging on his waistband on his left side, and he clenches his teeth together. "Commander Justine, go check that corner," he commanded before looking at Queen Adelina again. He didn't know what is happening or what the priest and the queen are seeing, but if it is the God of Snake, Glyvecaruis, it might be understandable that only Queen Adelina and the Priest could see it. They both are loyal worshipers of Glyvecaruis.

Commander Justine, also having a hint of what might be in that corner, felt his heart beating so fast. He tightens his clench on his hands and walks towards that corner. Now, every meter that he comes near it, that aura he is feeling is getting more potent than ever. If he is an average person, he might have already bend on his knees from the pressure. His eyes waver as he remembers the previous rulers of Artheiaya.

He has always been friends with one of the Princes of Artheiaya, back then, very close friends; it was Prince Baltrune Sadur Glyveruis, the second prince in line of the royal bloodline. They grew up together, shared so many memories.

Stolen from its rightful place, this narrative is not meant to be on Amazon; report any sightings.

"Justine, do you want to go fish? Black Horse told me that they saw this hidden cave with a lake inside, and there are so many fishies in there." A boy with golden hair that shines whenever it is hit by sunlight happily runs towards him before asking him this question. This is the Second Prince Baltrune, or what Justine calls him, Balt.

"You skip training again, Balt." Justine looks to the girl who is currently holding her waist, posing like an adult lecturing Baltrune, and this is Lady Adelina, the fiancée of Balt.

"And you always scold me, Adel. I hate training the most; I wanted to be free for like at least a week. I wanted to play with Justine!" Balt reprimanded her while pouting.

Justine looks over towards his friends and chuckles. It might look like the two are fighting, but they both like each other, or else Adel couldn't possibly even act like that to Balt. Balt is always cold and indifferent to strangers but not to him, Adel, and his family. The two continue to scold each other, but they've already started walking to the lake, said Black Horse. Black Horse is the knight guard of Balt who is loyal only to him. Balt is also the second commander of the Royal Knights, so it could be seen how vital Balt is to anyone. The good thing is, there is no protest in the Glyveruis family on who will ascend the throne. It was always the Crown Prince as the King only have one Queen who gave birth to all the Princes and Princesses. The Crown Prince, on the other hand, also has a fiancée already. It is said that after five years, they will be getting married.

They arrive in the cave, and there they saw a very clear blue water; unlike the clear natural water, the water in the lake is almost blue, like paint mixed in them.

"Black Horse told me that the blue color is natural. And the water is safe; they've tried it already. They don't know what makes it blue, but Physician Baltiven said that some alchemical is mixed in the water that made it blue, but it is safe on the skin; don't drink the water because they still don't know what affects it could cause." Balt has always been interested in alchemy, so he is close and always likes to go around the Kingdom to see odd occurrences like this.

"Are you sure it's not harmful? Balt, do not go in the water first!" Adel yells when Balt suddenly jumps into the lake.

When Balt appears in the water, he and Adel sigh from his impulsiveness; this is Balt. "Do not be always impulsive, Balt. What if something happened to you?" He worries about his friend's behavior, but the latter ignores him and swim with ease.

The day ended with a happy Balt, an anxious and angry Adel, and a sighing Justine.

They were so spirited together until they grew up and learned everything. Justine became a knight and a strong one at that. At the same time, Adelina grew up being trained as a future royal member with her whole life on it. In comparison, Baltrune grew up with an ambition to be a Physician as he trains and learns more about the hidden gems of nature. The Glyveruis Royal Family are great people, but they were always held back by tradition. The Crown Prince became the King, and her fiancée became the Queen.

"My King, we needed to make a move! Another group of migrants occupied a nearby land to our Kingdom, and they have been growing in numbers in just months! They are becoming a threat to us!" Commander Cheistian cries out as he explains what is happening to the border.

King Marvin Vlaj Glyveruis sighs as he explains his side, "those migrants are from the Kingdom of Norkriak; King Nymbim already sent a letter to me asking for our permission to let them stay at our border_."

" Which is more dangerous to us, King Marvin! What is Norkriak attack us?" Commander Bryherder said, but Commander Black contradicted him.

"Commander Bryherder, this is the King's decision; we must not contradict the King." Commander Black said as he looks intently at Bryherder.

Commander Cheistian sighs from what he is hearing. Commander Black has become the first Commander, and he cannot be contradicted. No one could change the mind of the King now as even Commander Black has supported him. Being the second commander is hardened; he is loyal to the King, but he is worried about the people. Especially the ones on the border, it'll be not easy if the Nokriak will do something.

What they didn't know is that the worry of Commander Cheistian will genuinely happen when the group of migrants did kill some of the Artheians staying near the border. They said it was an accident, but the Artheians didn't think so. They reported it to the King, but the King turned a blind eye to this and explained the killers' side. As no one knows the truth is, a significant dispute started boiling inside the Kingdom, so heated that even the King didn't have time to prepare himself.
