Chapter 1

There was a village on the western side of the world. That village was apart of a small kingdom called Dyri. Inside this small village there was a certain house. It was an ordinary house.

Inside this house, there was a young kitsune couple. A silver haired male with blood red eyes with five tails, and a pink haired female with golden eyes and had six tails .

The mother was breastfeeding a baby.

The baby had vermillion red hair and ice blue eyes starkly contrasting his parents. It was a really beautiful baby it would make even young women envious.

However, The baby was odd. He didn’t cry after birth and sometimes seemed like he was deep in thought.

This baby was Lugh Neverhail.

(Looks like you’re enjoying your new home Lugh)

A voice ringed throughout his head.

“Yeah, it’s not all that bad. But what's the deal about leaving me here for three months without contact”

(Figured you would need some time to get used to your new environment and “unlocked” emotions)

Well you wouldn’t be wrong. Anyways is there anything productive that I can do while I’m this young?”

(It depends on whether or not you inherited any mana from your parents)

“And how do I find that out?”

(Just think of status and something should pop up)

Harbinger of Emma (Unlocks aspects of being a Harbinger)

(Wow, you actually inherited both bloodlines.)

“Is that rare?”

(If it was any other inheritance then no. But, the bloodlines conflict so it's something that only happens on a rare moon.)

“How exactly do these stats work?”

(Oh yeah, tens are what an average human male would have. Most of them are self explanatory. But Dexterity is your hand eye coordination and how well you can do tasks. While, agility is just your pure physical stats. For example you would use your dexterity while you're trying to twirl a knife through your fingers. Agility would be how flexible you are or how fast you can run.)

“What about intelligence, wisdom, spirit and luck?”

(Intelligence is basically book smarts. While, wisdom is knowing how to apply that knowledge. Spirit is just how attached you are to spirits. Luck is what the chance is for you to roll what you need on a pair of dice. But for example if somebody knocks you out luck wouldn’t affect how fast you would wake up. Luck is also the one exception to the ten is average rule.)

“Spirits and why is luck the exception?”

(Luck is the exception because usually everybody has a set amount of luck at birth between one to infinity and that can’t be changed. Spirits include ghosts, fairies and other forces of nature.)

“Wait, how could a force of nature be a spirit and why do I have zero luck if people usually have 1 or more?”

(Imagine for almost any natural element there is a spirit who inhabits that element. You have zero luck because Harbingers, Gods and few others truly defy Fate. And before you ask when the Gods created all the planets we decided to create Fate so it could manage all of the small fry.)

“Small fry?”

(Humans and other creatures who have no impact on the world they live in.)

My anger was boiling after that sentence. All that I did in my last life was predetermined and Freya's life and death was predetermined.

BOOM!

A gigantic explosion ringed throughout the village. Two shadowy figures dashed out of the explosion and out of the village.

“Wow Lulu sure did get angry!” said a mother running faster than the eye could see.

“Luckily we fortified our house with arrays don’t ya say Darling?”

***

(That was unnecessary.)

“YOU'RE TELLING ME THAT FATE DETERMINED EVERYTHING I DID IN MY PAST LIFE!”

(No Fate just makes it more likely for certain things to happen. For example if fate was true then there would have been no world wars. But, because people choose to alter fate world war one and two happened.)

“Was there anything I could have done to save Freya in my last life?”

(No, there was absolutely nothing that you could do without in that situation.)

“Hey, Mom what are we having for dinner tonight?”
