Leo, standing at nearly six and a half feet tall, was a striking figure with bushy red hair and bright red eyes. Clad in silver armor adorned with red patterns, he wielded a silver sword. Honor and pride were paramount to Leo, who exemplified the importance of hard work and happiness in his endeavors. His decency and integrity earned him respect from all.
Hayase, like Leo, was a cheerful, hardworking, and quick-thinking individual. However, she stood out as the shortest knight, reaching only five feet tall. Her long blonde hair was styled in a double ponytail, and her bright blue eyes sparkled with enthusiasm. She wore silver armor with yellow patterns, a yellow cape, and a silver spear with gold-tipped patterns.
What truly set these knights apart were their extraordinary powers. Haruhi Eliza could manipulate light, while Charlotte possessed the ability to conjure ivy-like electric ropes by combining earth and lightning. Fechin could create fog and control ice, and Leo mastered the element of fire, capable of wielding magma. Hayase, too, had a unique talent, capable of harnessing fire to create blue flames.
These five knights were exceptional, renowned for their exceptional abilities and invaluable contributions to countless missions since their youth.
Yet, one day, an event occurred that even they could not prevent.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
A typical day found Charlotte overseeing the men on duty, Fechin conducting a rations check, Eliza planning their next tasks, and Leo and Hayase engaged in conversation.
"The last mission was incredibly challenging," Hayase sighed. "I don't know what I would have done without Miss Eliza's help."
Leo chuckled. "It was tough, but we've proven ourselves. We've helped a lot of people."
"You're right. We did a great job, and you were amazing," Hayase replied, her spirits lifting.
"Is that so? Thanks. I've been trying to emulate Sigfried's battle tactics," Leo admitted shyly.
"It's clear you've been successful," Hayase noted.
"I still have a long way to go. I want to be like him one day," Leo declared.

As they continued their conversation, Charlotte, passing by, overheard their words. "The only thing you resemble Sigfried is your funny hair, Leo," she remarked.
Leo bristled. "You're too rude, Charlotte."
"I don't mean to interrupt, but we have more pressing matters to discuss. We need to find Eliza as soon as possible," Charlotte replied.
Just then, the door at the end of the corridor opened, revealing Fechin.
"Eliza is here. She finished her work and has important news," he announced.
Charlotte sighed. "Just as I expected."
The knights gathered in the main hall, where Eliza awaited them, her arms crossed. As they approached, she began to speak.
"As you know, the mission we're about to embark on is far more important and dangerous than any previous one. We've carefully planned who will stay and who will go," Eliza stated.
Charlotte inquired, "Who are these people you're referring to?"
"Ikazuchi and Kinue will remain at the castle. You and Leo will accompany me on the mission. This ensures we have sufficient power for both the mission and the castle's defense," Eliza explained.
Leo's expression turned apprehensive. "Mrs. Eliza, what if they target the castle? If we leave, we'll be vulnerable."
Eliza responded with a serious tone. "I've made my decision. King Leova personally requested this arrangement. If any issues arise, reinforcements will be sent. The mission begins at dawn tomorrow. Prepare yourselves."
As they were discussing, an authorized member of the castle approached Eliza. "Mrs. Eliza, Lamram wishes to speak with you."
Lamram stood at the end of the hall, waving warmly.
"I'll address that. Thank you," Eliza replied.
Turning to the others, she said, "I'll provide more details about the plan later. For now, ensure you get enough rest and make the necessary preparations."
Eliza then departed to meet with Lamram.
As Eliza approached Lamram, he greeted her with a warm smile. "Thank you for taking the time to speak with me, even during your busy schedule."
"It's no trouble at all," Eliza replied, returning his smile. "You've been a valuable asset to our missions. Your contributions deserve great respect. After all, we're both members of the creature hunter society."
Lamram's expression grew somber. "I hope we don't encounter a situation as dangerous as before in future missions."
Eliza mirrored his seriousness. "Unfortunately, there's not much we can do. If the creatures continue to behave like this-"
As Eliza spoke, Lamram's face contorted with fear. He turned toward the door, his eyes wide. In a split second, he used his water powers to push Eliza aside, shouting, "Mrs. Eliza! Move!"
At that moment, a barrage of debris rained down from the castle's gates and walls, shattering the entrance. Dust and rubble filled the air.
Eliza struggled to rise, her ears ringing and her vision obscured by the dust. As the dust settled, the other knights appeared, their voices filled with concern. "Mrs. Eliza!" "Are you alright?"
Eliza's vision cleared, revealing the four figures standing before her. The wide grin she saw sent a shiver down her spine, a familiar sight that filled her with dread.
