The Stronger One : Part Two

The Stronger One : Part Two

Valdis, his eyes filled with a malicious intent, unleashed a torrent of dark flame magic towards Achilles. The flames, a twisted amalgamation of elemental fire and dark energy, engulfed Achilles, momentarily blinding him. Valdis seized this opportunity to escape, his retreat a testament to his cunning.

As Achilles regained his sight, his rage was palpable. His face, though scarred, bore an expression of pure fury. He stared at Valdis, his eyes burning with a hatred that bordered on madness.

"You've pushed me too far," Achilles growled, his voice a low, menacing rumble. "You will pay with your life."

"I have proven my immortality," Valdis replied, his voice laced with arrogance. "Yet, you persist. The choice is yours."

Achilles remained silent, his gaze fixed on Valdis with unwavering intensity.

"I'm starting to enjoy this," Valdis taunted, a smirk playing on his lips.

Their standoff was brief. A moment later, they clashed once again, their bodies a blur of motion as they exchanged blows with devastating force. Valdis, his movements fluid and graceful, delivered a series of strikes, his punches and kicks landing with bone-crushing force.

Achilles, however, was no pushover. He retaliated with a ferocity that matched Valdis's own, his wings a blur as he soared through the air, raining down blows upon his opponent.

As Valdis retreated, Achilles pursued him relentlessly. Valdis, realizing that he was being cornered, turned to face his adversary. "Is that all you've got?" he sneered.

But as he turned to flee, he realized his fatal mistake. Achilles had been drawing a circle around him, a trap that Valdis had failed to notice. With a swift movement, Achilles seized Valdis by the waist and hurled them both into the icy water.

Struggling to stay afloat, Achilles and Valdis found themselves locked in a desperate battle for survival. Valdis, his lungs burning, attempted to break free, but Achilles held him down, his grip as tight as steel.

Valdis, his immortality no longer a shield against the elements, began to succumb to the icy depths. Panic set in as he fought for air, his limbs flailing wildly.

In a last-ditch effort, Valdis summoned his snake, but Achilles, anticipating the attack, punched the creature, dispersing it into nothingness.

Valdis, his strength waning, could no longer resist. His eyes closed, and he sank into the depths, his reign of terror finally at an end.

As Valdis sank into the depths, Achilles emerged from the water, his victory seemingly assured. He activated his Zon Device, contacting his comrades, Orpheus, and informing them of his success.

But before he could celebrate, a sense of unease washed over him. Something was amiss. He scanned his surroundings, his senses on high alert. The silence was eerie, broken only by the gentle lapping of waves.

Suddenly, a colossal, pointed object erupted from the water, hurtling towards him with terrifying speed. Achilles, his reflexes honed by countless battles, dodged the attack, his body twisting through the air with acrobatic grace. But before he could recover, another object emerged, threatening to impale him.

The attacks were relentless, a barrage of deadly projectiles emerging from the depths. Achilles, his breath ragged, struggled to evade each one, his movements a blur of desperation.

Exhausted and confused, Achilles finally managed to escape the onslaught. He collapsed to the ground, gasping for air, his mind reeling. Who had attacked him? Where had they come from? The questions raced through his mind, unanswered.

In that moment, a hand pierced the ice, its grip firm and unwavering. With a grunt of effort, a figure emerged from the water, dripping with icy droplets. It was Valdis, his face a mask of triumph.

"Surprised to see me again?" Valdis taunted, his voice dripping with contempt. "Perhaps you should have finished the job the first time."

Achilles, his disbelief palpable, stared at Valdis in stunned silence. Despite his best efforts, he had failed to kill his nemesis. Valdis had returned, seemingly unscathed, his immortality a cruel mockery of Achilles's determination.

Rage consumed Achilles. His eyes, bloodshot and wild, reflected the depths of his fury. "Enough!" he roared, his voice a thunderous bellow. "This ends now. I will destroy you!"

Valdis, unperturbed by Achilles's threats, grinned. "As you wish," he replied, his voice laced with a chilling indifference.
