"I'm more than ready for a smackdown, just get this cuff off of me first and I'm good to go." Madix was the first to respond this time around, lifting the bracelet-bound arm to showcase his request further. Tiran simply smiled, nodded, and reached into her, as Jasper was now confident in assuming jacket pocket. In an instant, the light on the cuff blinked, then disappeared, and the construct fell to the ground in two separate pieces.
"Alright, let's not mess up the furni-" Tiran was unable to finish her sentence, Madix immediately sent his fist toward her face, and just before contact it stopped, held in place by some unseen force. The undertones of the boy's skin had changed considerably, going from slightly tanned to crimson, and quickly getting darker, within a few seconds it was edging on turning obsidian in color. With each moment his arm moved ever-so-slightly, fighting against the force holding it, and the rest of him it would seem, back.
The Instructor swiveled her head slightly to face Madix, and with that same genuine smile said, "Let's head outside, yeah?" She leaned back as the now pitch-black arm broke free from the unseen control, letting it shoot harmlessly past, she used the opening and the boy's lack of any guard to grab his arm at the base of the shoulder, using his forward momentum against him she nearly effortlessly lifted him into the air and threw him toward the nearby wall, one with a sizeable couch long its face which Madix slid into.
Without acknowledging him further Tiran motioned at the rest to follow her back outside. Are they making us do this back and forth on purpose? Good God... They all followed, even Madix, albeit with a grumble of irritation, heading around to the back of the building where a tennis court-style patio was positioned.
"Now, some basic rules, nothing too intensive. I will be your only opponent today, each of you will attempt to get me to either yield, step off of the court, or pass out, simply. One-on-one for today, and you may use your abilities as you see fit. Now, who wants to go first?"
All of us are at a disadvantage. And this thing could lead to some trouble if we get into fights with each other. Damn. Tiran knew all of their abilities, even if it just happened to be the basics of the original piece, she knew the groundwork. But they didn't know anything about her's. Aside from the very short display inside, which didn't narrow it down much, to be honest. That was the problem with Anomalous abilities, even if someone had the same attributes as one ability, it could be something completely different, and as a result, they could have more or less as their ability grew. I think for the first match...
"Splendid, now, do you have any questions before we start?" Tiran was still all smiles and sunshine despite the cold lingering, luckily the rain was gone.
"No." Jasper stepped onto the court and bent his knees slightly, facing off with Tiran squarely.
"No time like the present!"
Indeed.
Jasper moved, each step cautious and measured. The going was slow, but he wasn't taking many chances. He doubted that Tiran would strike first, at least, not with one intended to end the match, after all, she wanted to get them to display their abilities. Both anomalous and normal. It was when he was about seven feet from Tiran that anything happened, at it was from the audience.

"Get a move on! This thing's too slow!" Jasper glanced over, he knew it was Madix, and that he didn't need to look or tell him off, that was done with the fervent shushing of the other three, but he looked anyway. Shit! Reflex! He knew what was coming, he know it wouldn't be too bad, but he was mentally smacking himself in the face for that blunder. Jasper tried to sidestep, but he still felt the wave of force roll over his body, sending him careening into the stone to his left. God damn it! Face-first on the ground, Jasper pushed himself up, squaring off against the Instructor once more.
"I do believe the boy is right." She smirked, mimicking Jasper's low crouch.
Damn it all... If you want an ability, I'll give you one. But on my terms! He dashed forward, closing the distance between them quickly, driving his palm upward as well, expecting to feel the impact quite soon, but he missed. Tiran had dodged the strike and angled one of her own at his gut. He blocked it. Well, more like he just barely kept his breath and breakfast contained in him, the force of the hit was deceptively strong, just what you'd expect from the special police. Luckily this time, however, Jasper landed on his feet, Despite being nearly three feet from his target he swung his right arm in a hook, obviously the limb swung through empty air, and yet Tiran still dodged.
Jasper had hoped she'd disregard it, but that was a stupid thought, one fueled by the limited capacity induced by the recent heavy hit. One that cost him. Using his stationary state to strike, Tiran ever-so-slightly narrowed her eyes, and Jasper was hit in the chest. it wasn't all that strong of a hit, in all honesty, but it was enough to disorient. It was measured. She followed it with a blisteringly fast dash and jab to Jasper's sternum, sending him back another few feet, finishing it off by pinning him to the ground with the same unseen force.
"Want to call it quits?" Tiran stumbled back a few steps soon after saying this, using her right arm to grab her left as Jasper spoke.
"Yeah, I got what I wanted." At once the pressure on his body vanished, and Tiran let go of her arm, nothing was physically damaged on either of them, but Jasper was worn out. Those hits were soft, yes, but still hit like hammers, not to mention the energy he used on those few strikes at the Instructor. The first was with the hook, a light psychokinetic strike was the plan, and with his disorganized mindset, he'd had to perform the move physically to make it work. Of course, that gave it away and cost him a lot. The other was crushing, or at least attempting to crush, Tiran's arm, as he was being held in place. He mostly wanted to just get his hit in, but it also helped him understand the Instructor's ability a bit more.
They were both telekinetic. How neat is that?
Though that is such a broad term that using it, in this case, didn't mean much, honestly. It could be based on psionics, true kinetics, or simply moving the target independently versus having a stable connection between both target and user, the possibilities were nigh endless. But he had learned a bit more. Tiran was a connection-based telekinetic, same as him, and used actual kinetics, also the same as him. That last strike Jasper had done was much broader than his first, sending out a wave instead of a concentrated strike. But all that made it through were through exposed points. If it was psionic everything would've passed through, and if it was target-based then either everything would've gone, or nothing, target-based telekinesis was a tad strange...
What a happy coincidence... Damned bastards. The odds of this being pure luck were way too low to be considered. It was planned. He already expected that aside from Hera and Serine he was the one with the most exposure to his ability, he already figured that they'd want someone with a similar or completely counteractive ability to be his Instructor, it shouldn't be too much of an issue, but it meant they were keeping a closer eye on him. And from the Jaegers too. I already told them damnit...Not really anything he could do about it but keep it in mind.
"Now, what about you? Wanna try?" Tiran let loose another devious smile, ready for another test.
