There was silence on the docks for a few moments after Lynn landed, before they let out a laugh. Such displays weren't uncommon, and the local residents on the docks found it humorous each and every time, some even made a game out of it. Lynn rubbed the back of her head and let out a shy laugh before jogging down the pier.
"I guess that brought some attention to me. Mother told me to head straight to the Adventurers Guild when the ship docks, but that should take another thirty minutes or so." She grinned, looking back at the ship that was still out at sea, the magic she used, [Swift Step], was a simple wind based spell that anyone with enough mana could learn. It allowed Lynn to harden the air beneath her feet and make it launch her forward in any direction.
She smirked, her identification plate warming itself for a second as it recorded the spell within its memory. Lynn reached the edge of the dock shortly, before looking around. She realized she was one of the many who had just arrived, with numerous boats pulling into port.
"Eeeh~ I guess there's no helping it, with this many people landing today I bet the guild will be packed, I'll just explore!" Giving a resounding nod, she ran off into the city. Familiar scents flooded her nose as she ran into a food district, different kinds of pork, bison, and even meats that she had never seen before were on display, either being cooked or ready to be eaten.
A slight hint of drool appeared at the corner of her mouth before Lynn walked up to one of the stalls, looking at some meat she didn't recognize, her head canting to the side, "Mister! What kind of meat is this?"
At the sound of a inquisitive voice, a burly man, his forehead beaded with sweat from working over a fire turned around and grinned at Lynn, "Well, Hello there lass! I'm cooking up some Horned Demon-Fox, just came in this morning." He grinned, placing his hips against his side, looking her over, "Normally I charge for a tasting, but for a cute lass I think I can make a bit of a," while clapping his hands together suddenly, "Free trial. Just promise me if you like it, come back to my stall for more!"
Lynn grinned in excitement, "Old man! You're great, Give me some then, please!" She thrust her hand out with a "hurumph", a plate appearing in her hand.
The people around her blinked for a moment, before shuddering lightly, the Horned Demon-fox was notoriously known to be quite strong tasting, not to mention hard to defeat out in the field, usually just eating it was a bit of a challenge, and the merchant was just trying to off load the meat quickly.
The old man laughed, before slicing off a good helping of the meat and sticking it into a skewer before seasoning it and whispering beneath his breath, fire leaping from his hands to engulf the meat, browning it easily and cooking it completely.
"Here you go, lass. Don't say that Mr. Breekim never helped you! Hahaha!" The old man placed the skewer on her plate, clapping his hands a bit before resting his hands on his sides, looking for her approval.
Lynn grinned at the meat, picking it up tenderly before sniffing it, her nose curling slightly as the smell appeared overpowering. "Mmmn~ Mother always told me to eat anything on my plate, and I haven't eaten in a few hours." She closed her eyes for a moment, her brows scrunching together.
She suddenly brought the skewer up tearing meat from it as she chewed quickly, the people surrounding her pausing in amazement. She stood still for a few more moments, before holding it up, "Old man! This ain't so bad, ya'know?" She laughed, taking another bite of it, chewing it quickly.

The people let out a low breath, shaking their head, most of the people who frequented this marketplace had tasted it out of curiosity. Most agreed that the Demon-Fox meat was way to overpowering to be considered tasty, and some even thought it was down right disgusting, but this girl ate it like it was nothing.
"Hahaah! Lassy, I didn't think I would meet someone who shared my taste for this meat! Tell you what, if you ever need some work, or if you come across some Horned Demon-Fox come see me, I'll fix you up right quick!" Breekim let out a laugh, patting Lynn on the shoulder before turning around, "Now scram! I have other orders to fix up!"
Lynn grinned, stuffing the rest of the meat in her mouth before bounding off, "Thanks Mr. Breekim! I won't forget about this!"
___________________________
Lynn let out a low sigh, she had been through the marketplace, into the central district, wandered back to the dock district before running to the gates of the Guild District. The sun was finally beginning to set, she had spent the better part of the day wandering around the city, looking through alleys and establishing minor connections to tailors, weapon smiths, and food stalls.
"Ehh~ My feet are killing me~" Lynn let out a sigh, dragging her feet as she reached the gate of the Guild District, holding her card of for the guards as they opened the gates.
She had a room already paid for in the Adventurers Guild, but she still had to check in and go through some annoying procedures before she would be allowed to rest. Her Uncle was the man in charge of the Grand City's Adventurers branch, a man named Granf. He wasn't a noble for reasons that Lynn never bothered to ask, she assumed that he had just given up the name or decided he didn't like the life style.
Either way, Lynn wasn't very keen to meet someone on her mothers side of the family, They were always incredibly tidy and proper when ever Lynn was near them, but as soon as she was out of sight they would begin speaking about her, nitpicking every last thing.
Reaching the door of the Adventurers guild, Lynn let out a low sigh, pushing the door open. Suddenly a iron pan flew and slammed Lynn right in the face, Lynn falling to her knees and holding her face as a gruff voiced yelled out, "HOOOORAA! YOU BRAT, I'VE BEEN WAITING HERE ALL DAY FOR YOU!"
Lynn raised her head, there wasn't any blood, only teared up eyes from the pan smacking into her nose, she blinked away the tears, the Guild lobby was quiet, a large man with long black hair stared down at her, a scar permanently closing one eye, while the other shown fiercely green. He was incredibly muscular, standing straight and tall, wearing a simple white shirt and black pants, "Your mother told me you got distracted, but this is something else, I'm Granf, don't expect me to treat you special because your my niece."
Lynn stood up, looking down at the ground with a grin, "Aaah~ I don't know why I was worried~"
