June 1st, Year 7
POV: Fukumoto Kondo
Kondo's hands are sweating today. Why? Because one of his clones that was posted to watch the Uchiha Clan saw Itachi beat up a bunch of Uchiha who were talking shit to him. He remembers this scene in the anime. The massacre will happen soon. Kondo's not sure if it's tonight or at the end of the month. All he knows is it's so close he can taste it. Even with all his preparation, he's still nervous as hell. This even involves the 2 strongest and most hax Uchihas, Danzo and The Hokage: Hiruzen. It's and event almost on par with the 9 Tails Attack, and he's going to jump right in the middle of it.
As for said preparations, Kondo has eaten an read anything he can get his hand on with relation to Medical Ninjutsu. He has practiced on Fish, Raccoons, birds, etc. They're not the same as humans, but they're better than nothing. He feels really bad for the creatures he's done eye transplants on. If it's any consolation for them, he'll be doing it on himself in the future.
He's also prepared flasks and solutions for storing Uchiha eyeballs.
Speaking of eyeballs: spying on the Hyugas was really tough in the beginning because they'd scan the area with their Byakugan before training. Kondo had to stay very far away and pretend to be training, so as to not seem suspicious and allow the Hyuga to show the goods which he picks up through [Electromagnetic Sense]. And the goods were good. His animal test subjects would expire with just a poke at a vital organ, or suffer in pain while bleeding through the oraffices if poked at any other organ. How Hinata survived a palm to the chest is a mystery. Gentlefist is lethal as hell. Anyway, no palms for Kondo; he'll either use his fist or an index finger so as to hide his expertise as best as he can.
Over the past number of months, Kondo has been hiding clones all over Konoha for surveillance and to gather chakra. They'd use [Meditation] to replenish their reserves as the [Chakra Battery] drains it. He doesn't know how much Chakra he's stored overall, but for his main body alone, his guess is: High Jounin to Low Kage. He's also got an army of clones ready and waiting. Whenever Itachi decides to make a move, he'll be ready. And that's why he's pulling back his Shadow Clones every night till further notice so he'll be at full power on the big day.
June 9th, Year 7
Evening at Konoha. The homes of all heads of all major clans have been attacked and bombed by assailants clad in black cloaks and wearing masks. The Inuzuka, Yamanaka, Aburame, Nara, Hyuga and Akamichi Clans all either had someone abducted before their very eyes: some heirs, some spouses, some guests and/or had their compounds attacked with weak yet loud explosives. They immediately gave chase with reinforcements close behind. The Hokage's office wasn't spared. Anbu attempted to capture the lone arsonist, but could only pursue.
Hiruzen Sarutobi stands in his office in front of his destroyed glass windows overlooking the whole village. He sees pandemonium and chaos. His gaze steels before he rips off is Hokage garb; revealing his combat attire before he jumps out the window into the fray.
"Something's not right..." Says the masked man as he drops the lifeless body of an Uchiha child. He listens intently and can hear a commotion in the distance. No, there's multiple sources from different directions.
"Were we found out?" Wonders the man as he steps out of the family home filled with zero survivors.
At another part of the Uchiha District, Itachi Uchiha is feeling uneasy. He was hearing noises from a distance and it was getting noisier by the second. "What's going on?" He wonders as he murders another clan member and darts to the next one. Lots of thought cross his mind as he continues with his killing spree.
Somewhere on the outskirts of the Uchiha District:
"GIVE ME BACK MY LITTLE BROTHER, OR I'LL RIP YOU TO SHREDS!!!" Yells Inuzuka Hana at the assailants she's chasing.
"Hana." The Matriarch calls her daughter's attention.
"WHAT?!"
"Do you smell that?" Sniff Sniff Sniff
"Ugh!!! Blood! Lots of it!"
"And it's coming from the Uchihas."
"Damnit! What the hell is going on!"
Elsewhere:
"Clan Head. Are you seeing this too?"
"Yes. The Uchihas are being slaughtered. We must hurry!"
At the Residence of The Uchiha Clan Head: Fugaku Uchiha, was confronting an intruder to his home. "You are trespassing. Identify yourself... Or Die!" Declares Fugaku as he stares down a man clad in all black wearing a mask. They size each other up for a couple seconds before the intruder turns around and begins walking away.
"Who gave you permission to leave?!" Fugaku darted after the man as they both took off into the streets of the Uchiha District. They made a ruckus as Fugaku attempts to apprehend him. This woke up many households. Some of which were part of the police force quickly joined Fugaku in his endeavor. Still, they were unable to catch the man.
"It's like he has eyes on the back of his head." Says an officer exasperated. As the chase continued, they began seeing Uchiha bodies here and there. This shocks and infuriates them to no end as they redouble their efforts to catch the man. After running for sometime, they hear screams coming from a house right next to them. Then the mask man suddenly stops and turns to face his Uchiha persuers. There is a standoff for a briefest of moments before Fugaku signals a portion of his men to break off and investigate the home. Immediately, more screams can be heard; this time from the men that just entered. Fugaku is torn for a moment before he runs into the house with the other group to see what's going on. There he discovers the dead bodies of the residents of the building and his men on the floor with a masked man looming over them.
"YOU DARE INVADE THE HIDDEN LEAF AND ATTACK THE UCHIHA CLAN?! YOU'RE NOT LEAVING ALIVE, SCUM!" They draw their weapons and attack the masked man. Meanwhile, outside, the other masked man has disappeared. Elsewhere in the Uchiha District an unconscious Kiba just got dropped on the roof of a random house as the kidnapper flees. The pursuers retrieve said heir, and allow a detachment to resume the pursuit of the individual till they take refuge in a building. The detachment circle the building in question and the Hana calls out.
"Don't try to hide. We can smell you in there. Show yourself now or expect us to use lethal force." Seconds later a figure exits the building wielding a bloody sword. They all get a good look at the person and are shocked. The leader continues.
"Itachi?!... I'm not even going to bother with questions. I can smell the blood of many on you. You will surrender now and be apprehended. If you resist, you forfeit your life." After saying that, the Hana proceeds to signal a couple men to advance forward with restraints. In response, Itachi suddenly dashes forward in retaliation, and a fight breaks out.
While Itachi fights the Inuzuka, Hiruzen catches up with Inoichi Yamanaka who is chasing one of the invaders who attacked his home. "Yamanaka-dono."
"Hokage-sama!" Inoichi salutes.
"At ease. Tell me, what's the situation?"
"Of course. Earlier this evening, my clan's compound was invaded and attacked by a duo clad in black garb with masks. They ran off with a friend of my daughter after they failed to take her. We've been in pursuit since. The perpetrators appear to be headed for the Uchiha Compound, but I have no clue as to why."
"Where there any casualties?" Hiruzen asks.
"Non Hokage-sama." Inoichi Yamanaka answers.
"Injuries?"
"... Non Hokage-sama."
"Strange..."
"Not just that, but it's the identical story with all the other major Clans."
"Indeed. I have met with a few clans on my way here. Exact same story."
"It seems the goal of this group is to draw all the clans into the Uchiha Compound. The question is, why?"
"Why indeed. Why would they go to the Uchiha Compound of all places? They're the Konoha police force as well as the strongest clan. All that awaits them is destruction when they're trapped between us and the Uchiha. What could they possibly be planning?"
"I intend to find that out. Excuse me. I'll be going ahead." Hiruzen proceeds to perform Body Flicker and soon appears right beside the running abductor. What happens next surprises everyone watching. The figure immediately comes to a halt and faces Hiruzen. The Yamanaka Clan members keep their distance so as not to agitate the figure and leave the situation in the Hokage's hands for the sake of the hostage's safety. Before Hiruzen can get a word out, the figure points towards the Uchiha Compound before disintegrating into a puddle of water: leaving behind a drenched former hostage on the ground. The members of the Yamanaka Clan rush over to secure the person, while Hiruzen stares into the distance. "All the answers to my questions lie at the Uchiha district, it seems." And with that, Hiruzen sets off at full speed towards the Uchiha Compound.
Itachi is running through the alleys of the Uchiha District with the Inuzuka Clan in hot pursuit. The mission was a failure and now he has to escape the village. There's no telling what the ramifications of this will be for what's left of his clan, and for the village. Worse case scenario, it could start another ninja war as the infighting can weaken the village and leave it vulnerable to attack. After thinking it through, he decides that the only way to salvage this situation is to have the village unify against a common enemy. That way they don't have time to bring up past misdeeds and grudges as they'll be too preoccupied with the threat: Himself. He can't let Shisui's sacrifice go to waste.
Fugaku Uchiha is standing battered, bruised and panting hard while holding a bleeding stab wound on his side. Before him is the masked person: clothes singed, mask cracked, and currently picking up his own severed arm from the floor. Around them are the bodies of the Konoha Police who were assisting Fugaku with the fight.

"I can see why you were considered for the position of Hokage. I haven't been pushed this far in ages." Fugaku continues glaring. He's lost so many good men and Clan members to this murderous madman. The staredown continues for a bit before they both sense a strong chakra signature approaching and turn to face it's direction.
"That's too much trouble. I'll be taking my leave." The mysterious masked man promptly says before being consumed by the space-time spiral originating at his eye, and disappearing. Seconds later, Hiruzen appears on the scene and inquires of the goings on. Fugaku tensely gives him the report on what he knows. After hearing all he can, Hiruzen expresses his condolences and asks Fugaku to seek medical attention before turning to leave. Before he's able to do so, however, an Anbu [Body Flickers] to his side and bows.
"Hokage-sama, there's something you need to see."
"What is it?"
"I'd rather not say, sir. It's best you see it for yourself. It involve some Uchiha victims."
"Very well, lead the way." The Anbu got up and ran off, closely followed by Hiruzen with Fugaku trailing behind them. The Hokage couldn't disuade the man because this involves his Clan members. They soon arrive at a random home with deceased residents inside. Once they entered and had a look at the bodies, they understood why the Anbu was hesitant to speak.
"Bastards! They stole the Sharingan from my clansmen! Slaughtering my clan wasn't enough for them. They dare decicrate their bodies and steal our prized Dojutsu?! Damnit! Damnit all! Mark my words; I will hunt down every last one of you lowlives for daring to touch my clan! DO YOU HEAR ME?! YOU WILL RUE THE DAY YOU MADE ENEMIES OF THE UCHIHA." Roars Fugaku in anger and anguish.
All this time, Danzo who had also been drawn to the commotion surrounding the Uchiha district was relaying orders to his Root Agents dressed as Anbu. He wanted to figure out what the hell was going on. This turn of events was nothing like he had planned. As he was deep in thought, another Anbu Anbu Body Flickered to his back and kneeled. "Danzo-sama! I have my report: So far we have learned that Itachi Uchiha and another mysterious individual were killing the Uchiha population at the same time abductions and firebombings were taking pla- Look out! Danzo-sama!"
"What?!" Danzo looks ahead to see a Itachi covered in blood and walking in his direction. This made him enraged. "Itachi! What is the meaning of- KUH!" Danzo's indignation was halted by a sword piercing through his back and out his chest. Before he could do anything, the sword was twisted and ripped out of him. At the same time, the back of his legs were kicked, which forces Danzo to his knees as he held his gaping wound in his chest. What follows is an execution style decapitation that sends his head flying. And just like that, Danzo was assassinated without a chance to even let out a whimper.
That night all of The Hidden Leaf was placed under marshall law as the Shinobi attempt to flush out and capture the infiltrators. Every abducted individual was retrieved without incident, and every abductor had either escaped or turned into water. As for the Uchiha District, an investigation revealed that the killings were perpetrated by two individuals: Itachi Uchiha and a Masked Man who could become intangible. The number of people slaughtered crossed 100. They were mostly Uchiha, a handful of Inuzuka, and Danzo Shimura. It was a tragic event. Itachi was thus declared a Rogue-nin by the village and was to be hunted down and killed on sight.
The days that followed were filled with mourning especially the Uchihas who lost family, friends, and clan members. Alot of orphaned and widowed awakened their Sharingan as a result. This included Sasuke who heard of Itachi's treasonous acts that night and basically had a breakdown because of it.
Konoha Morgue: Hiruzen Sarutobi
The Third Hokage stood silently in the cold, dimly lit morgue, the scent of antiseptic barely masking the undertones of death. Before him lay the still form of his old friend and rival, Danzō Shimura. Despite their disagreements, Danzō had been a comrade—someone who had fought for Konoha in his own ruthless way. Now, he was gone, his lifeless body draped in a simple shroud, his face eerily calm.
Hiruzen’s weathered hand trembled slightly as he unfolded a bloodstained letter found at the scene of Danzō’s assassination, tucked neatly beside his body. The letter had been written with care, and handwriting precise.
"To Hiruzen Sarutobi, Third Hokage of Konoha. I understand you must be enraged by the murder of Danzo Shimura, however your unwillingness to keep him in check forced my hand. He has sowed discord and destruction across the Elemental Nations in the name of power and control. He has undermined alliances, orchestrated atrocities, and sacrificed countless lives to satisfy his ambition.
It was his hand that tipped the balance, inciting conflicts that destroyed families and decimated entire clans. He manipulated the Uchiha into a corner where rebellion was their only path, then planned their annihilation by staining the hands of your loyal shinobi, Itachi. You would have lost your strongest clan had I not intervened. Danzo has caused so much death, so much pain, and so much instability that his continued existence has become an unbearable threat to the peace and future of this world. For these reasons, he was executed. The world became a much safer with him gone, a fact you cannot deny.
May you reflect on his deeds and your own failures in enabling him." Signed, N/A.
Hiruzen’s grip on the letter tightened, and for a moment, his vision blurred. The words struck deep, piercing his heart like a kunai. He placed the letter down on the table beside Danzō's still form, staring at the lifeless man who had once been so full of venomous conviction. His mind was a whirlwind of emotions: grief, guilt, and a searing frustration. He had always known Danzō’s methods were extreme—too extreme—but he had allowed it. He had turned a blind eye to Danzō's machinations, believing that the darkness Danzō wielded was necessary to protect Konoha from the shadows. But was it? Had he truly believed that, or had he been too weak to confront his old friend, too complacent to root out the rot within the village he had sworn to protect?
“I failed you, Danzō,” Hiruzen whispered, his voice heavy with sorrow. “No... I failed all of them.”
He thought of the Uchiha clan, the fiercely loyal co-founders of Konoha alongside the Senju. He thought of Itachi, the boy burdened with a mission that no one should have had to bear. He thought of the lives lost and the hatred that festered in the wake of every decision Danzō had made, decisions Hiruzen had tacitly approved through his silence.
Hiruzen’s shoulders sagged under the weight of his years and his regrets. For all his titles and wisdom, he was just a man—a man who had allowed himself to be manipulated by fear and politics. He reached into his robes and lit his pipe, inhaling deeply in an attempt to steady his nerves.
As the smoke curled into the still air, he looked at Danzō’s face one last time. “You believed you were protecting Konoha,” he murmured, his tone a mixture of anger and sadness. “But at what cost? At what cost, old friend?”
Hiruzen turned and walked out of the morgue, his resolve hardening with every step. He had been given a chance—a chance to reflect, to atone, to ensure that Konoha’s future would not be built upon lies and sacrifices. He would take this letter as a wake-up call, a reminder that leadership required not just power and strategy, but also compassion and accountability.
As the door closed behind him, Hiruzen knew one thing with absolute clarity: the cycle of hatred and betrayal that had consumed so many had to end, and it was his responsibility to ensure that it did.
For Konoha’s sake, and for the future of all its people-especially the Uchiha, he could no longer look the other way.
June 16th, Year 7
A week has passed since the incident at the Uchiha Compound. The dead have been buried, but the mourning continues. Tensions are high between the Uchiha Clan, the other Clans and Konoha's administration. However, no one group can point a finger at the other with complete confidence as the events of that night are still fairly confusing.
The main questions that hounded their minds were:
Why were the Uchihas being slaughtered?
Why were all the clans attacked, but zero fatalities or injuries.
Who were the group of kidnappers, and why did they act the way they did?
There were speculations, but nothing complete. However, all parties were watching each other closely. Until they get some answers, there's no telling how long the tension will persist.
As for Kondo, he has already redeployed his clones and returned to his Pre-Massacre status quo. "I'll just concentrate on my Rasengan training till things cool off."
POV: Kenji Touma
Karin has been added to the Touma Team. There was a convenient workaround that Mama Kaede couldn't argue against: Shadow Clones. Being an Uzumaki, Karin had tonnes of chakra, so teaching her the technique was pretty straightforward. Then all it took was to place the clone in a Storage Scroll and inventory it over from New Uzushiogakure. Now she's the teams main sensor and medical ninja (no biting).
POV: Itadori Ichigo
With regards to Kondo's commercial operation, he's been concentrating his efforts around 3 main locations: Abe Town, Takuma Village, and New Uzushiogakure.
He'd purchase cheap stuff in rural areas, and/or where they were manufactured or grown, transport them through inventory and sell them at any of his 3 locations.
For instance, he'd get a loan from the Snapper Gang and others, then make a huge order of regular weapons which the Takuma village artisans would fulfil. He'd take what he'd need for his village, and sell the excess back to the Snapper Gang in Abe town. And he liked working with them because they didn't ask questions. He became their close business partner and enjoyed really low interest rates and discounts.
Takuma village artisans bought up the cheap metal ingots Inventory'd from mining villages. Agricultural products fresh out of farms would sell great in all 3 locations. All in all, Kondo was making some serious bank.
June 20th, Year 7
POV: New Uzushiogakure
"Happy Birthday!!!" Cheered lots of kids, teens and some adults at an outdoors birthday party. Who's the birthday girl you wonder, Karin Uzumaki of course! Its not the first birthday here in New Uzushiogakure, but it sure is the most grand so far. From the sizable cake to the tonnes of decorations, Ruinkondo spared no expense. The little redhead had grown on him over the months.
June 25th, Year 7 | Kenji Touma
With all the drama around the Uchiha, Kondo almost forgot about his promise to Fuu. After remembering, he left a clone at Takuma village and rushed all the way back to Takigakure with his team. When they got there, Karin found her chakra signature right away which saved them time looking. She also noticed the Bijuu chakra at the basement of the Village Heads building, meaning Fuu hadn't been jinchuuriki'd yet.
After a bit of observing, it looked like Fuu's schick of wanting to have as many friends as possible was in full swing with an added desire to help people. She had formed a posse of kids her age who went about doing stuff like helping grannies to cross the street, and rescuing kitties from trees. As a result, she has become quite the celebrity.
The reunion with Fuu was quite heartfelt, with Karin and Haku hitting it off with her right away. Afterward, Touma treated everyone to some grilled meat at a local restaurant to celebrate. The group planned to stay a few days for some R&R before saying their goodbyes and leaving once again to continue their adventure. They'd return next year.
July 1st, Year 7. Fukumoto Kondo
It was the first day of the Chuunin Exams that would be held in Konoha. It was expected to last till August 1st. This didn't include Kondo as he was still an Academy student and wouldn't graduate for another 3 years, but he could still watch the finals in hopes there'd be neat jutsu to copy.
July 14th, Year 7: Fukumoto Kondo
Despite the whole Uchiha controversy putting a pause to things, Kondo launched his Rasengan training soon after, and has now completed it. His use of [Meditation] and lots of [Water Clones] were instrumental in his success with his System adding [Rasengan] as a skill. However the proficiency isn't that high, so he's going to need more practice to raise it. After that, he'll try adding nature transformations to it, starting with Lightning release.
POV: Department of Commerce
Kondo's commercial empire is too big for him alone to run, so he has hired help from the folks of New Uzushiogakure for this purpose under the Department of Commerce. Their job is to handle all the accounting and sales, while Kondo concentrates only on transportation. It was kind of interesting that it was majority Kaguya Clan women who took up the role.
Additionally, Kondo has deployed more shadow clones all over the Elemental Nations in attempts to scale up the operation and inventory network as well as establishing more branches, and putting his people in charge to run them. His 4th major branch will be in the Land of Hot Water within the 10th District where he intends to purchase or build offices, warehouses, and storefronts to handle his goods and the paperwork that comes with them.
August 1st, Year 7: Fukumoto Kondo
It's the final day of the Chuunin Exams, and boy did the Uchihas clean house. They took 1st place, lost 2nd place to a Kumo-nin, and shared one of the two 3rd place slots with an Inuzuka. "Guess the BUM lit a fire under their asses."
Kondo had the Touma Team Inventory'd over to Konoha so they could watch the fights. Obviously he didn't reveal his true identity, as there was no reason to do so, plus it would create a vulnerability. He'd save that for the War Arc at the earliest.
August 15th, Year 7: Fukumoto Kondo
This year's Ninja Academy Graduation is underway. It's an event that's usually not worth mentioning, but this time is special.
It's the first graduation since the Botched Uchiha Massacre, and there's a lot of Uchihas among them; fiery eyed and itching to get stronger. Their showing in the previous Chuunin Exams was proof enough. Kondo can tell that their senseis are going to have their work cut out for them. He wouldn't be surprised if a number of them defect to Orochimaru or someone of the like inorder to get stronger faster in hopes of avenging their clan.
