Finding morr

I was still curious about who had told her about candy. So I tried to get more information before she dropped me off at home.

“So how did you know about the crush I have?” I asked!

“I told you you don’t need to know!” She said.

I thought to myself and realized the only person I told was my brother. He had to be the culprit.

“It was my brother wasn't it?” I asked.

“Yes.” She said with a faint smile like she was expecting a bigger reaction then what i gave.

The rest of the ride home I was whispering to myself a rant of how i was going to kill him, if i ever had the chance. As I broke from a whisper I got louder and louder. Sahra looked at me like I was something she had never seen before. By the time she dropped me off at home, I was exhausted and more or less angry, sort of! I was angry at myself mainly. I knew he would end up telling Sahra. They have a connection, It seems! Sahra would glow around David, as he would do the same around her. Sometimes I swore they were together. Although they denied it everytime. I still tease them both about it.

I got out of her car and headed inside my apartment. Turned on my tv, to the news. I was wondering if anything happened when I was gone. I had found out that there was an explosion underground that had caused a cave in where the concert took place. I was glad we had left when we did. The news reporter had said the band that was playing had gotten killed, and more people were injured! I had called Sahra to see if she had heard of the incident at the concert. The phone had rang but no answer. It was late, so she probably had gone to bed. I decided to do the same. I turned my tv off and went to the world of a dream.

The dream was interesting to say the least. The reporter that was on the news was in my apartment saying the island was ending. She had said her name was Daella DorrSnik, and that I had to help save the island. If i didn't we all would perish in fire. At that time I looked out the window and saw a volcano erupt, as fiery ash fell to the ground. I was frightened and confused. Mordum Island did not have a volcano. Our Island was formed by a tectonic shift. I thought! I honestly did not pay attention to the history of the subject. I ran through the hallway and outside to see what was going on. Everyone was in panic and a frozen state of fear. No one was running to safety or trying to avoid falling objects. They were just standing as if they were a block of ice, staring at the sky. It was horrifying to watch. As I was standing still in fear just like everyone else! I had heard someone in the background yell. I could not make out what she was saying due to the warning sirens that had started up. That's when I woke up because it felt as if I was being shaken. I didn't know where that feeling had come from. At that time I had just shrugged it off as a bad dream. It felt it had importance, but only because of the news reporter.

That morning I was doing my regular routine, making coffee and drinking that before said cup of joe. I had heard a banging outside, close by. My curiosity was at its peak. I opened up the door and saw there was a building being remodeled. I went back inside and continued my morning and then got ready to leave for my job.

I had decided to leave early then what I usually do. There was a gas station that was on my way. I would often stop. I pulled up to a pump. Pumped what I needed and went inside. I had seen a female walk in behind me. Well, more like jog in. She seemed to be in a hurry! I had other things on my mind like where the snack aisle was. I had a craving. I grabbed a bag of chips and noticed my shoe was untied. I did the smart thing and kneeled down to tie it. I get pushed and end up losing my balance and fall. That same female I noticed when I was walking in, had run me over like I was an insignificant piece of human trash!

“Watch where you're going next time” I said with a polite yell, if yelling can be polite. I must have ticked her off when I said that, because she had given me a glare that could give any man nightmares. Well not really she had just given a shy but choleric attitude.

This girl had sort of a charm to her, a glow. A mysterious one in fact. Mysteriously dangerous! Her hair was black and long. Long enough to pull a man up from a tower if the tower was the middle of her back. She also had mesmerizing brown eyes, a beautiful figure and a wonderful personality. Remind you, still dangerous but wonderful. I was wishing I could see her again or at least know her name. Luck has it. I do! It was painful!

A few weeks had passed and the building that was being remodeled was turned into a Mexican restaurant called “Gusta Comer”. I believe it translates to “like to eat”. It makes sense to call it that, doesn’t it? Don’t answer that of course it does.

I was feeling peckish so I decided to go check it out. I pull in the parking lot which is surprisingly full! There was only one spot to park left, It was also the furthest away. The parking lot wasn’t that big. It was still a decent fifty steps. Sort of! The funny thing is when I got out of my car I checked to see if my shoes were tied. They were! I was proud of that accomplishment, I knew I was set to enter the building. I take five steps and what do you know…….. WHACK! I get hit by a vehicle. I’m lying there on the somewhat hot asphalt, trying to gather what just happened. I hear the brakes of the same vehicle, then I see it back up. I'm thinking to myself that this rotted turkey headed person is going to finish me off ! So I get up as fast as I can and leap like a frog jumping off a ledge, towards my car, scared for my life! I must have hit something when I landed, because the next thing I know I wake up in the hospital with the girl from the gas station sitting next to me.

“What are you doing here?” I said with a scared curiosity.

“My parents own the restaurant you was at and i was there at the time you got hit.”She said

“You're the one that hit me aren’t you?” I asked with certainty.

She didn’t answer, she just sat there with a not so innocent look on her face. That look had said it all.

“What’d I do to you” I said sarcastically with a hint of fear in my voice. You must find me attractive just not in the good way!

She nervously chuckled and said “Sorry what could i do to show you i truly am!”

"For starters don't say sorry. Things happen, they happen for a reason. I paused but only for a second. A date!

"What?" She said with a surprised look on her face.

"Go on a date with me, it's only fair."

"Where?" She asked.

"Your parents' place!" I said.

"Huh?"

"Gusta Comer!"

“Oh okay! Sure I'll pay!”

“No need. I mean I was going there for a reason.”

“ You wanna go now?” She asked!

“No! I wanna go home and relax, you did just hit me with a car after all!”

“Okay, Then call me when you want to set a time. Here’s my number.” She said with a glint in her smile.

She grabbed a pen from a doctor’s clipboard then grabbed the palm of my hand, she wrote down her number with a name that read Christine Morr. When she left, I had a feeling of joy rising up under the covers if you know what I mean. I can sure tell you, I loved to watch her leave. Only joking, I did realize she had a walk, that would tell any man not to break her heart. She had sass with a capital “ASS”. I just wanted to let you know. You know that was important.

Not too long after, I got a call from my mom. Luck was not a thing nor was it on my side! She was telling me that David was in an accident and dead. She told me that something happened at work and that was all she knew. She didn't really know if he was dead. My mom is always adding information that she thinks she knows. I had a feeling though, that she was right. My brother was getting in trouble quite often. So that wasn't hard to believe. That news had hit me late and hard. I layed in bed motionless, thinking he’s okay. They’ll find him! No worries! I knew I had to call Sahra to tell her what I know.

I was waiting for her to pick up the phone, when I had heard a familiar voice coming from outside the hospital room in the hallway. I got up and walked to see who it was or if I was just hearing things. It was the Morgue City Sheriff, asking about the explosion underground that happened at the concert. Why was he asking about that? The concert was not in his jurisdiction! Why did his voice sound familiar? I had to get a closer look. I walked closer and realized it was my brother’s best friend Torris Golfmann. I only knew him from what my brother would tell me, and the pictures and videos of them together at a bar flirting with the wild life! I decided to introduce myself.

“Sheriff Golfmann?” I tried to get his attention but he wouldn't have it. So i tried again.

“Sheriff, I would like to talk to you about something. It's rather urgent!” I said.

“What do you want?” He asked with an unclear annoyance in his voice!

“I was at the concert that you were talking about. I would be happy to help!” I said with a calming subtlety.

“In a minute, let me finish what I'm doing here.” He said.

“Yes, sir!” I replied.

He finished conversing with the interviewees. Then we sat down in the chair next to us, and talked. He wouldn't give me much information on the whole ordeal. But, I did get some just nothing helpful. He had just told me what the public already knew. After I got the details. I asked him if the name David Lovelet meant anything to him. He froze for a few seconds then said thanks and walked off in a rude manner. I felt something was wrong. The best thing to do was let it be.

I was released from the hospital and cleared to go home, but not to return to work until five days.
