The future ruler. Vlad III Dracula "son of dracul". later known to Transylvania as Vlad the impaler and to the world as "Dracula, son of the Devil".
On that night eupraxia held her new born son in her arms. She looked at him sleeping without the care of this world. She was happy, her mind was filled with love, joy and pride to give birth to such a beautiful child.
Eupraxia was the daughter of king stefan cal mare the founder of neighboring moldavia kingdom. Eupraxia was betrothed to Prince Vlad II, when his father was alive in faith of a peaceful future after the war between Transylvania and Ottoman Empire. Eupraxia was only 20 years old with beautiful red hair and black eyes with warm white skin and an attractive figure when she was betrothed to Vlad II, a 24 year old young prince and the future king of Transylvania. He was mesmerized by Eupraxia Beauty on their first meet and later fell in love with her.
Vlad II was good looking with a fine muscular body and he was more of a fine worrier, trained in different swordsmanship and spearmanship rather than a deployment like his father Mircea I who established the foundation of Transylvania and Wallachia, after the death of his father due to plague. Vlad II, 2nd in line of succession, was the most powerful of his 3 rival brothers, defeated them and became the king. In the year 1422 Vlad entered the order of dragons. After joining the knight Order in 1425, 3 years after joining, the kingdom of Transylvania was attacked by the Ottoman Empire. The Sultan of Ottoman Empire, Sultan Murad and his armies numbered 50,000 attacked Transylvania and neighbouring kingdoms. In the war between the Ottoman Empire and Transylvania. Vlad II achieved great merits in many battles and fought alongside the king stefan cal I of Moldavia by establishing a temporary alliance between the two kingdoms.
The war continued for 4 year in 1429 a temporary peace was established between two kingdoms, on terms that 1 thousand young children from 10-15 of age were to be sent to Hungary and to be trained as the Sultan Elite janissaries corps and 15-18 to join the Sultans army. where they will become the Sultan's warrior and would be returned after the duration of 5 years if they wanted to return.
The terms were hard to accept but after the war that lasted 4 year the kingdom of Transylvania was experiencing incredible pressure, the financial crises and depletion in the number of soldiers and reduction in the amount of food supply greatly affected the stability of the kingdom and Vlad II was forced to sign a temporary peace treaty.
After the war with his merits and great accomplishment on the battlefield he was awarded the title of Vlad II dracul "the Devil or Dragon".
After the end of war, in the same year 1429 to stabilize the political power in Transylvania and to reduce the conflict between the neighboring kingdom of moldavia. He married king stefan daughter Eupraxia.
Though their marriage was political they fell in love and 9 months later on 31 October 1430 Eupraxia gave birth to a healthy baby boy.
As Eupraxia was holding her Newborn son in her arms. Vlad II was sitting on the corner of the bed and watching over his wife and son. He was happy to have a son who would carry on his noble bloodline and create a name of his own.
He held her hand and awaited the future that is to come.
Unknown to him the faith of this world and entire humanity was charged forever.
