Chapter 41

As night hit its middle point, Cloud and Alisianna fell asleep cuddled in each other’s arms by the bayside, the crashing waves sound soothing to their ears through the filter of soft chirping song birds at night. They take in the moist cool air from the ocean waves as their skin is soften by the light gentle splashing spray from the battle of water on the dockside.

Rain seated comfortably in a chair catches up on some night reading in the castle library, after trashing his own study still attempting desperately to diminish the massive guilt of failure residing in himself. Straud and Cynn along with some elven guards brought along, help the night watch as they too take posts around the city walls and streets. Tristan appreciating the help gives Cloud the night off and takes up duty in the main keep where Elanee, Namor, the King and assorted nobles sleep soundly in their beds.

Out in the forest heading back to the city walking at a less than normal pace was Artanis; weighed down with the thought of what was said earlier to him by his father about Colossus’s life before the chaos, and how it resembled the same struggles Rain was going through now. Looking up at the clear night sky with the stars shinning bright he thinks a comforting thought in his mind to the notion that his father was looking down on him now. A sudden spark of guardsmen ship landed to his mind and as he stared to the black brightly lit sky he makes a vow, not to allow Rain to falter and fumble down the same path. Not to become that which he hides and hates so passionately against and derives such resilience and courage to fight from. With the new goal set firmly in his mind he gains new energy and starts a paced jog toward the city gates.

Dawn takes the night shift at the temple to any night commoners that might seek forgiveness and is in time joined by Maylor who has no other pressing plans, he helps her clean up from mass earlier that day and makes small talk about any recent events coming up. Leaving the room where they were in to put away vials and water pitchers, Maylor contemplates to himself while Dawn is away. Bundling up a cloth blanket to a roll form Maylor hears the door to the room creek open, spilling in inches off the floor into the room was a hazy blue smoke that when seen drew an eerie chill down Maylor’s spine.

“Dawn is that you” Maylor pauses for a response only to hear nothing but the wind blowing through wooden chimes of various homes singing the city to sleep. He goes to the door and closes it again and then hears a voice echoing his name ghostly around the room and into his head.

“Nice try Dawn but the vampire ability scares got old about a week after you became one” he shook his head and went back to bundling. Rattling a book from its spot on the shelf it falls to the ground behind him spinning Maylor around alert and aware, his ears perk up and his face grows serious.

“Dawn it’s not funny anymore come out now!” Maylor bolts getting put on a knife edge while slowly picking up the book and setting it on the table where he worked, waiting around in silence he hears a voice in the form of a young girl laughing childishly around him.

“Dawn! Enough!” he shouted and moments later the door swooshed open and in popped Dawn’s head around the archway,

“Yes Arbiter is something wrong?”

“Wait your there then who is …” and with an instant the smoke formed a massive hand and gripping to Maylor’s neck, Maylor raised his hands to brace the crushing grasp while his eyes watched more of the smoke taking form shaped like a bull,

“And from so much age I thought came wisdom high enough to see this coming” said a darkened deep devil voice, with the sentence said the smoke then formed and solidified the rest of Colossus’ body finishing with his flesh. Fighting the pressing grip of his arm Maylor gasps the words to Dawn to grab the stone and get it away, no hesitation came with the command as she ran right to the table and grabbed the stone jewel, Maylor watched as Colossus eyes followed the girl while planning his own elusive escape, glowing his hands red with heat Maylor burned his way to his release and ran to Dawn’s direction. Angered by annoyance Colossus judged the running distance to the exit bringing his hand glowing green with magical energy Colossus unleashed it toward the stone baring girl. Seeing the spell rushing toward her Maylor yells to Dawn

“Duck” stopping to hear him again she sees her impending doom.

Jumping in front of her to the oncoming path of the green sphere he emits a white glow to his hands as he is impacted with the orb, Dawn is blinded by the white flash for a second and then her sight appears.

The stone falls to the ground as Dawn relinquishes a mighty scream from her lungs to the sight of Maylor’s cindered ashes flaking to the ground. Quickly Colossus levitates the stone into the air and toward his hand, Dawn reaches jumping in the air to snatch it but his magic was too great, the stone land firmly into his grip and looking at it carefully he snaps his head shifting his vision to Dawn,

“Where are the other stones, girl” Colossus demands from Dawn and hasting to her feet she springs out of the room running from the temple arch into the street. “I hate chasing down leads” grumbles Colossus watching her leave and follows behind her at a slow cocky pace.

Dawn runs into the street and is met by Cynn who was patrolling around the area, Cynn stopping Dawn only by a hugging tackle brought both to a tumbling halt, and looking into Cynn’s face Dawn has a ghostly look to her even fainter then her vampire self.

“Maylor and I were in the…and then I left and…he told me to grab the stone…he tried to save me and…” she rambled out burying her face into Cynn’s silk robes trying to shake out the horrified image burned to her mind.

“Calm down, slow down, Dawn say that again” Cynn asked picking Dawn and her to their feet, footsteps behind them brought Straud running.

“I heard the scream what happened” he replied with his sword drawn, as four footmen followed far back in his tracks. Cynn shook her head implying that she doesn’t know but with the glowing closed arched doorway of the temple entrance heating up; he came in to focus. Colossus blows open the doors to the temple standing before the group with an evil grin to his face.

“Dawn go get to your brothers and Artanis, go now!” Straud urged to Dawn, she runs off past the coming footmen with Colossus not in pursuit, just staring to a group he knew well.

“What have you done with Maylor?” Cynn bolted to him

As the soot from the high Priest’s remains flacked off Colossus’s greaves the great mage embraced the long awaited reunion,

“Ah, you are here I would like to open with much important news, we have lost a dear friend today” he said lifting his right metal boot to shake off more of the charred ash he slowly approached closer “For some of us he is still here…in one form of another”

“Colossus”!

With a wave of his hand he placed a finger across his lips “Shhh, please I wish for a moment of silence in respect to mourn the loss of…”

“Say his name and it will be the last thing you speak” Cynn greeted out, Colossus read the look and nodded to her.

“Very well this dear friend and colleague, and now to formerly address, how are you Cynn, Straud it’s been a while”

“You killed sixteen wizards of the greatest respect before you went down”

“You mean sixteen with the greatest power…I was good then wasn’t I… I’m better now”

“I think the mere thought of me standing in the same room with you is beyond words I have for disgust” Cynn replies to him sternly as Straud grew angered with self-struggle,

“You evil bastard I vow to you now I will finish what my brother started” Straud snuffed moving to a battle ready stance.

“That’s funny, I don’t remembering him starting anything…just dying” Colossus said laughing to him calmly

“You don’t scare us Colossus” Cynn bravely stated

“Oh I don’t do I, then maybe I should try a little harder” he ended clenching his fist with a yellow bright glow tossed high in the air like a flare, creating a dark cloud cover flooding the skies peaceful wake. “You probably fear me the least amount Cynn, since it was you who brought the final strike upon me ending my life” and hearing the statement Straud turns giving a shocked look to Cynn, and Colossus gloated seeing the reaction “What’s this, she didn’t tell you” added Colossus,

“I never told anyone I was with the council at that time” Cynn replied not happy about the statement

“You told no one, surly such an act would be worthy enough to hear and yet even more, be proud of” Colossus said “For hiding a disintegration sphere inside of another spell forcing me to block it instead is quiet an impressive feat, there was only one other sorceress that possessed such power but sadly she died at the blade of her own husband”

“You show such remorse as if she would have joined your cause” Straud snapped to his face

“You forget that she was once evil as well lord Straud, her only flaw was to have a loving heart for that brain dead brother of yours that brought about her demise…what a pity” and smiling he looks to the fast moving clouds that bury the open clear sky now streaking down to the city raining patches of blue flame, they impact the ground and change shape forming into a black leather skinned humanoid jackal’s, carrying various shaped weapons of destructive power they begin to wreak havoc on the city guards as well as killing and slaying commoners they find.

Cloud and Alisianna awaken to the thunderous sound of the storm as well as a nearby landing only a foot away from them. Forming quickly to its dog like terror it instantly towards the two baring a spear in its claw like hands, it aims to Alisianna but Cloud rolls to cover her having it impale its tip to the right side of his shoulder. The blade goes through his skin exiting out the front but stopping before it pierces the chest of his wife’s heart. Wrenching it out and moving for a second more fatal shot Cloud spins around drawing his wife’s cape covered sword from her holster Cloud drives it deep into the torso of the demon cleaving it in two.

Shocked from the sudden attack Alisianna is speechless gasping at the open wound to her husband’s shoulder.

“Are you ok?” Cloud asks her holding the wound to stop the blood flow from pouring out.

“Cloud your shoulder it’s…”

“Fine, but are you?” he asks again to see his wife’s face nod quickly, she puts her hand to his cut and closes her eyes to use what natural magic she has to tighten the wound closed, she finishes not completely stopping it but slowing the blood to almost a halt. She looks to her blade that was put into her hands by Cloud as he draws his and notices the part that cleaved the monster was frosted over from what appears to be an instant chill. Shaking off the inspection she gets to her feet and follows Cloud as both sight multiple landings of creatures all around the dockside.

Viewing the attack from the outskirts of the city Artanis dives into a heart pounding run and hurtles brush and slaloms trees to get to the gate.

Hearing the crashing sound of wood frames and screaming women and men, Rain slams his book shut running to the chamber window; he views the carnage only for seconds before tossing the book to the ground and heading for the door. Elanee awakes to a disturbing yelling and screaming tone from the hallways, getting up and grabbing her robe she heads to the corridors to see what the commotion is all about. Chaos is laid suddenly upon her eyes as she sees nobles being led by soldiers in the hall, feeling an arm touch her shoulder Elanee turns around seeing Namor’s face who hugs her tight.

“Thank god you’re safe, come on my men will take us to the King’s personal guard room, and we’ll be safe there” Namor explains taking her hand leading her quickly down the corridor.

“What is happening?” Elanee asked

“The city is under attack, now come on Elanee keep up to me, just down this way” he says to her leading her to a guard room filled with elite guards, nobles and the King. Rain runs passed the very room Elanee was in asking a guard by the door where Captain Tristan was, hearing the conversation Elanee turns to see him

“Rain!” she says and turning to the familiar voice Rain looks to her

“Elanee, stay here you’ll be safe”

“I’d rather go with you” she says to him worried

“Look Elanee I don’t know what we’re dealing with just stay here ok, so I know you’ll be ok, they’ll have to come through me to get to you” and telling a nearby soldier to not let her follow him he runs off

“Rain, be careful!” she yells to his running back and remains like he asked her.

Getting to the keep gates, Rain sees the doors are still open with a view of the courtyard expose to him; he sees Tristan with some men fighting the dog like beasts out there and joins in the battle tossing lightning bolts and energy balls from afar. Seeing Tristan knocked back off his feet on to his back and a beast raising its weapon for a life ending strike Rain casts a green orb toward him blasting the creature to bits. Tristan smiles a little and turns around knowing who he would find, “Rain!” Tristan yells to him running to his location

“What the hell are these things” Rain spoke grunting out another heavy hitting spell.

“I don’t know they started attacking about an moments ago, were trying to get all women and children inside as we find them but they’re closing in on us, we can’t hold this position for long” Rain assists and aids in the fight but enviably they fall back to the great hall, barricading the door with logs across the sides holding it shut as well as using their own bodies softening the blows from the enemy attempting to ram their way through.

“Anything more as to what they are Rain” asks Tristan holding a section of the door beside him

“They have flame on their bodies, they must be some fire based creature” Rain says gritting his teeth upon each further blow he holds back. A soldier reports that all non-military personal are in the guard room and nodding his head Tristan orders his men to set up a perimeter around the room to encase the beasts as they enter.

“The door won’t hold another blow Rain we have to move, now” Tristan says to him tugging on his shoulder to move him.

They get clear of the final blow to the door blowing wide open and Tristan’s men start firing all they have at them. Arrows, throwing daggers and hurling axes are tossed in the beast’s direction as Rain and the Captain look for cover, hiding behind pillars in the hall; the beast’s numbering six engage the men at close range. Rain fights with Tristan tossing ice based attacks into the face and chests of the creatures but they appear to have no effect. They fight for a while longer until Tristan hits a critical slash to the creature bringing it to its knees, Rain eyes follow his blade which shows him a built up of frost on it and then a thought hits Rain’s mind like a gust of wind.

“Ice Striders, there ice striders” Rain says to Tristan

“Oh well now I feel better” he says dodging an attack and rolling his eyes to Rain’s comment ads “AND WHAT THE HELL IS THAT!” Taking on another one,

“Ice creatures with fire looking characteristics” Rain finishes by tossing to the beast a fireball while watching it almost die instantly from the impact, Tristan finishes it off with decapitation of its head and Rain asks for his blade. Tossing it to Rain’s hand Rain imbues the weapon with flame qualities and tosses it back, and runs around the room doing it to all the soldiers’ weapons one by one dodging attacks and throwing flame having the battle reduced to mere minutes. The creatures are taken off guard by the sudden advantage; not long until they’re pinned down in the hall by Tristan’s orders. Cutting them down fast are they reduced to nothing but frosted corpses, and enjoying the victory only for seconds a soldier comes running through the gate out of breath carrying a message. catching his breath tells that a bull like creature is causing massive damage to the city temple, and knowing what he speaks of Rain bolts into the courtyard and towards the temple. Tristan orders for all men available to follow Rain and give aid with Tristan bolting fast to catch up to Rain’s distant lead.

Getting to the gate Artanis sees the gate blasted open partly and climbing through the wreckage he sees Dawn running passed him trying to get to the keep center. Artanis calls to her and stopping almost instantly she turns around running to him embracing his arms with a frantic hug of thankfulness.

“Artanis, I can’t Cloud or Rain…Colossus is here, this is his attack force”

Looking to all the open flames coming from various buildings around the city Artanis takes her hand bolting off to the city’s east side “This way hurry”

Running to the docks knowing that it was the last place Cloud and Alisianna were at, Artanis and Dawn see the married couple fighting back to back against the enemy demons. Alisianna casting lightning bolts from the cloud cover up above and using her flame bladed weapon she batters back the enemies almost as well as Cloud was. Not doing enough damage to them, Artanis and Dawn race across the wall walkway to meet them when Alisianna gets an idea to make them all go at once, she pushes back the one she is mangling with and stabbing her blade into the ground she brings her arms high into the air making her finger tips light up a blue tone color. Water from the ocean comes crashing over the docks and floods the docking area except where they stood. The water comes like a stampede of horses smashing into the dogs and slamming them up against the dock wall walkway where Dawn and Artanis were, seeing her doing such magic Artanis stops moving in awe of the raw power she was producing as was Cloud who lowered his blade witnessing the carnage. Alisianna leaves the water flooding there for minutes to drown the life from the enemy’s lungs, and resending it back to the dock border they notice the minions still rising to their feet.

“They must be water based creatures” suggested Cloud raising his blade again

“Really?” said Alisianna smiling a grin and not understanding why Cloud then concentrated his vision on the minions closing in on him again. Hearing a spark of an explosion behind him Cloud turned his vision again to Alisianna who was turning the dogs one by one into dust, letting them scream in agonizing pain for a second before each combust. Working around the docks until all were vanquished she lowers her hands to retrieve her blade still imbedded in the dirt, sheathing it again she calmly smiles in a self-satisfying comfort and pulls her hair hanging in her face with some fingers while turning to look at her husband’s face. Cloud was baffled and amazed at such an attack and only sparks of words came from his lips.

“Alisianna…how…they were getting up and poof…dust?” he finished his inquiry looking very puzzled

“Well some priests and mages can turn water into wine or rum, I turn it into dust and when you said they were water based I just thought…” and not being able to finish she was interrupted with a kiss from her husband who after looks to her deeply

“I love you very much and I give you my word…” he says pausing to see the water still receding from the dock area “never to piss you off” and smiling to him she kisses him back and then saw Dawn and Artanis coming to join their position. Dawn tells them that Colossus is here and Cloud hears no more, following Dawn to where he is Dawn leads the group to where Colossus is battling Cynn and Straud.

They follow the great flames of the burning city all the way to the temple grounds where the four of them witness a most terrifying sight, the monstrous high rise Colossus baring an energy beam from his fingers directly at Judicator Cynn and Captain Straud. The two elders nearby attempt to repel the energy but holding it at bay for only moments they then feel their feet starting to slip back from the sheer force of his power. Blood comes from Cynn’s eyes, ears and mouth from trying to push back the indescribable force and Straud hands just as Cloud’s were cut by Rain’s power are his cut too by the deflecting blade maneuver. Deeper and free flowing the blood rained down to his chain boots caking the tips and sparking flicks of fire from his sword blade grinding through his iron gloves. Holding it steady the four try getting to the others as fast as they can, Colossus sees them from the corner of his vision and smiling a grin he sends a massive burst of energy through the stream exploding when the elders try to stop it. Sending them flying into rubble and remainders of wall left from their already intense battle. Straud and Cynn stumble to their feet and see the backup of the four coming to their aid.

Smiling as they approached Colossus makes a snap comment to Straud

“You know I think your brother would have lasted this long too if he wasn’t so busy killing his own wife at the time”

“You SON OF A BIITTCCHHHHH!” shouted Straud in a blind rage charging at Colossus and waiting for the strike, he hears Cynn calling for Straud to stop his assault, not listening he clangs his sword hard against Colossus’s but spares only moments until Colossus gains the mastered upper hand. Knocking Straud’s sword away leaving his torso open to be struck, Colossus closes his fists delivering a massive punch to Straud’s ribcage sending Straud flying backwards back to his group. Cynn and Cloud run to pick him up and spitting out a quart of blood from his mouth Straud looks dangerously deep eyed at the bull.

“Be thankful, I could have killed you right then but you’re missing one from your group and him the most I want to see you fail”

“You can’t take all of us Colossus our number is too great” replied Cynn

“You won’t win Marcus” added Artanis and with the name came a snap of shock to Colossus face

“How the hell do you know my name, you ill soiled cockroach?” he questioned

“Through my father’s confession for he was one of your council members” Artanis went on

“What? How do you know this Artanis” said Dawn curiously to him

“Wait…Artanis Zen” snapped Colossus “The son of elder master Zen, well that would explain a lot for having hardly any brains to produce a maggot like you was the quick cause of his death, he used very little of them when he confronted me”

“I’m through with you people” spouted Colossus and building up a force of energy he hurls it towards the group Cynn gets to her feet and with Dawn and Alisianna’s aid they redirect the bolt to the stone wall, it smashes into it and nearly disintegrates the whole section. Growing angry and ill-tempered Colossus draws his doom blade charging it up with energy of his own, during the charging Straud grips a chain around his neck and closes his eyes he says a silent prayer, the ground shakes terrorizing loose bricks in wall section and rattling free solid foundations in homes and building structures. Colossus’ eyes glow red and the blade beacons with dark blue energy emanating through the cold steel.

About to release its doom bringing power, a shot is laid upon Colossus’s face leaving him with only half skin and the impacted side having bone showing with face tissue dripping to the ground beside him, replenishing the skin fast back to his skull Colossus turns to see Rain standing with Tristan at his side and a band of men behind them.

“Ahhh!, you ungrateful little MAGGOTTT!!!, I’ll show you the meaning of the word POWER!!!” Colossus’s voice storms deep as he turns his energy blade toward the ground in Rain’s direction. Slamming it hard into the ground the impact causes the ground to break apart splitting the stone walkway towards Rain.

“Your mother made an error when she crafted that amulet to your neck, take it from one who knows the craft at a master level, it will stop my powers yes but…”

The cobblestone fell to an endless pit of darkness below cracking quickly towards their location. The earthquake causes buildings surrounding Rain and Tristan’s party to crumble and fall collapsing upon them, Rain grips Tristan in an attempt to make an action but it was too late…” Environmental damage is always a loop hole” ended Colossus laughing. Dust and debris filed the area and when it settled only the devastation remained.

“Rain! NOOOOOO!” screamed Cloud gripping his sword tightly he sat up from being shook to his knees and stared at Colossus.

“Oh what a pity he didn’t make it” said Colossus as a smirk formed at his mouth from the sarcastic tone, “Guess you win some, and you lose some eh…oh what is this you pathetic creations think you can take me, two of you are handicaps now and two well…” looking again at the rubble “Are now sparkless flames” he laughed, but his words don’t detour them from surrounding the bulls massive body getting weapons at the ready. They all attack him at once throwing spells and blades at him fast and hard, dodging the blades as well as blocking ones needs to be, Colossus’ protections against the pelting magical attacks prove invaluable as none of the spells harm him. Alisianna grips his arms and legs with vines from the dirt in an attempt to slow his evasion. Flexing his raw muscles he breaks from the living restraints and with a quick hand motion lasso’s Alisianna with her own weapons to his grip, combat comes to a halt at the scene of a hostage situation. No one moves and Colossus tosses out a grip holding a death lock to the druid.

“Do you know that I’m not going to kill you my dear” asks the big brute turning her face to face his, she says nothing but he could tell that fear was forming fast in her “do you know why?” and threw his tight grip she forces a head shake motion. “The answer is simple look upon your friends your group, to their very eyes. There is fear building as it is in you as well as uncertainty, courage and valor are their too, but they need time to catch up”

“They will take you down with me if they have to” the druid sparks and Colossus belts out a quick loud chuckle,

“That is a bold lie and you know it…if you die here now, they will most certainly charge me becoming unpredictable also opening their best window to taking me down, they have lost enough for one day and like I said earlier the task I hold now is simple. I don’t have to worry about them taking your life; all I need to focus on is you not trying to take your own”

“So what are you waiting for” Alisianna spits to his face, Colossus breathes in deeply,

“An energy recharge, I was using too much to fast” he ended tossing her to the group again, having her stumble into Straud’s grip. “Forgot who I was up against…ready now though”

Fending them off one at a time sending them pounding to the ground unable to continue the fight, Colossus finds himself left with two to contend with. He throws an orb towards Alisianna, and countering it Straud throws his blade to ricochet the spell away, anticipating the move Colossus then teleports beside Straud and lays a violent backhand to the Drow Captain’s face having Colossus stand over him with his blade to Straud’s throat,

“This was too easy, but I assure you Straud that nothing from this moment on will give me more satisfaction than ending your family tree” Colossus heats out raising his blade to the sky to see the look on Straud’s face before his end, staring at him he sees Straud smiling and bringing the blade down it ends short of him piercing his body; stopped by a force of some sort, pulling the blade away Colossus looks with puzzlement,

“You know Colossus I always thought that you longed for nothing more than to learn to fly”

“I assure you I’ve mastered that feat” Colossus barks back

“Really how about long distance traveling” Straud still grins, and growing a massive shadow covering the two of them Colossus turns quickly to see the cause; Straud scampers out of the way and the ground tremors a second with the landing of Lalandra in Dragon form, her silver toned eyes turn sparkling and gleaming bright as she breathes quickly deep, unleashing a penetrating freeze upon the magic master’s body, Colossus shouts loudly as he holds his sword sideways to block the impact. Finishing the breath Colossus was reduced to an ice sculpture, not wasting any time Straud goes for his sword and runs to the statue. Swinging hard he smashes the ice sending it in crystal looking shattered parts raining to the ground. Nodding to the result she wings off into the air and disappears back to the enclave.

“How did she get here” asked Cynn getting to her feet slowly

“I called her using this necklace given to me by her long time ago, she stopped his sword with a force spell and then the rest you saw” and smiling with the ending she goes to him embracing him with a thankful hug. They look to Cloud who has an injured back during the assault with blood draining from his torso, trying to plug the wound with her clothes Alisianna calls for Dawn who gets to her feet and speeds to his side. Artanis frantically calls out while digging through the debris for Rain

“Rain! Rain can you hear me” Artanis says but suddenly is thrown off the pile by Straud who bared a very angered state, Cynn follows behind him but doesn’t restrain him back, crawling backwards backside him Artanis looks to Straud

“What are you doing?” Artanis barks with a groan from the landing

“HOW! Do you know Colossus real name Artanis…HOW?” Straud says with his blade still tightly in his grasp

“I told you he killed my father” Artanis said back moving his hand close to ready his own blade

“And he killed my brother…their father and just tonight one of my dearest friends” Straud ends holding his blade to Artanis chest

“What you think I’m on his side, Colossus?’” he blurt out panicking “I’m not …I’m not besides he dead now”

“He’s not dead you fool he’s alive or those storm clouds would have dissipated by now” and waiting for a response with Artanis’s silence all of them gaze to the skies to see a form massing in the clouds, it forms a great bulls head and it’s eyes glow bright with lightning swirling around them, the mouth opens and a thunderous voice is heard all throughout the city.

“Make no mistake, this isn’t over I will one way or another have what I want and when I do, I will rain upon your pathetic souls plagues of pain and despair for next time, I march a legion of what you just tasted to your walls” and finishing with a chaotic laugh as the cloud cleared from the thunderous speech. Colossus’s words echoed to all who heard its vial promise penetrating and piercing their very bones and minds with worry and fear.

“And you think that I’m with him, don’t you think that if I was I would be gone from here by now, forget this for every second I argue with you Rain if he is still alive is closer to death” and pushing away the blade from his body Artanis goes back to the pile of building wreckage digging desperately for Rain.
