Long Tian constructed another house for Shen to live in during his stay. He never had to entertain someone since there was no one that dared to be a guest to the Heavenly Dragon Immortal King before.
Long Tian had arranged Long Xue’er to show Shen around the forest and meet various magical beasts living under the protection of the Heavenly Dragon Immortal King. A magical beast can normally transform into a human body once it reaches Soul Formation stage.
Saint beasts such as Heavenly Winged Tiger and the Gold Dragon, however, could only transform once they reach the True Immortal Stage. The higher the quality of bloodline, the stronger cultivation required to transform into a human.
Shen had found out that Long Xue’er’s mother was a human mortal with crippled meridians that he met on one of his journeys. They had fallen in love and Long Xue’er was born. However, Long Tian’s wife had a weak constitution and had passed away while Long Xue’er was merely two years old.
Long Xue’er was born as a human with the bloodline of a Gold Dragon. She had monstrous talent for cultivation. At eighteen years, old, she was already a half step False Immortal. If this was known to those large sects, they would be crying blood since all the young generation around that age were at best late Foundation Building stage.
The snow fox that was always with Long Xue’er was actually a low-level saint beast according to Long Tian and required a Sky Immortal cultivation base in order to transform. Long Xue’er had met it when she was ten years old in the forest and they had been together ever since.
Long Xue’er had taken Shen to see various places around the forest, from breath taking water falls to beautiful lakes. They ate many immortal fruits and had roasted meat from small animals.
Only after a few days of playing did they return to the small clearing.
At night, Shen was enjoying a good sleep in the new house. It was a different feeling from resting its mind as some part of it would always be observing the universe and would never truly shut down.
Shen let go of all parts of his consciousness and sunk into a deep sleep for the first time since it gained sentience.

“Xue’er do you really want to go with Brother Shen?” Long Tian asked his daughter for the nth time.
“Yes father, I do. How long would it take for me to reach Sky Immortal stage? I know it seemed fast for me to cultivate but it gets harder as my cultivation increases.
Maybe it would take another few hundred years for me to reach that stage. But If I go with Uncle Shen, then I would be safe. Father, you said yourself he was stronger than you. He would be able to protect me.”
“Oh, I know but I still can’t help worrying.” Long Tian sighed again. He knew his daughter was gentle but she was also very stubborn and she would likely not take her words back.
“Father, don’t worry. It’s not like there would be Earth Immortal and Sky Immortals everywhere. Those old monsters rarely come outside. I would be able to protect myself even without Uncle Shen’s help from anyone under False Immortal stage.”
“Fine fine, you win. However, Xue’er, you must wear a veil and keep it on at all time. Promise me that ok?”

“Ok father, I’m not going out to find a husband, you don’t have to worry about that.” Long Xue’er laughed mischievously at her father.
Long Tian coughed awkwardly as it was always something that troubled him. He put the thought away by convincing himself that Xue’er was still too young.
“You must come back and visit me often you hear. Otherwise I’ll turn the cultivation world upside to find you.” Long Tian pretended to be serious and sternly warned his daughter.
Long Xue’er felt warm inside as she giggled and ran outside the room to go back to her house.
Long Tian looked at his daughter’s back as he thought it was rather ridiculous that he was willing to trust her to a stranger that he only met a few days ago. He stopped thinking as it would not bring him any answers. He had this blind trust towards Shen that he himself did not know the reason towards.
Long Tian sighed once more as he headed into a room filled with miscellaneous items, all pulsating with spiritual power.

Shen woke up from his first sleep feeling strangely refreshed. He could smell breakfast being prepared outside. As a being that was one with the universe, he had no need to intake food but he found it quite enjoyable. ‘Perhaps this is what it means to be human.’ Shen thought as he headed outside.
Long Xue’er greeted Shen with a smile. “Uncle Shen. Come have breakfast.”
Shen gave a smile back as he saw Long Tian come out of his house.
After they ate breakfast, Long Tian brought Shen inside his house.
“Brother Shen. I wish to ask you a favour.” Long Tian hesitated before finally speaking.
“Brother Long, speak your mind. I will help you if it is within my ability.” Shen replied honestly. ‘As long as it is within this universe, I can probably do anything,’ He had this ridiculous thought as he shook his head.
“Brother Shen. Xue’er wishes to go to the human world. She is strong for her age but there are stronger beings outside this forest. I can’t help but worry that she will cause trouble in put herself in danger.
Since you are also going the same way, I wanted to ask Brother Shen to take her along and protect Xue’er.” Long Tian spoke in one go and waited for Shen’s response.
Shen thought for a while. “Is Brother Long worried about her appearance?”
Long Tian laughed and replied. “Haha, yes. Being too beautiful isn’t such a good thing. I dare not think what would happen if she was to set foot outside of this forest.
I had allowed her to go outside after she gains enough strength but she didn’t want to wait. Your presence gave her a reason to go since you would be able to protect her.”
“Brother Long, maybe I can solve that. Let me try something first.” Shen gestured for Long Tian to follow him outside.
Long Xue’er was waiting outside with an expectant expression. If a normal male were to see this picture, he would not be able to control himself.
Shen walked up to Long Xue’er and waved his palm in front of her face. He had used the power of chaos to create an illusion. Unless one could use the same chaos power, there should not be anyone in the universe that could see through the spell.
“Brother Long, I have casted an illusion over Xue’er. Try to undo the spell.” Long Xue’er’s facial features had changed from a breath-taking appearance to an average young girl.
Long Tian concentrated spiritual power in his eyes to try see through the illusion. He also tried to detect any anomalies around Long Xue’er for signs of spiritual power fluctuation.
However, he was unable to see through or even detect the spell as he would not have known there was a spell without being told and the spell being performed in front of him.
“This should solve the problem. Of course, if Xue’er still wishes to come with me, I would gladly welcome it.” Shen smiled as he condensed a mirror in front of Xue’er.
“Ahh!” Xue’er gave a small scream as she touched her face. However, the feeling of her face had not changed, only what could be seen from the outside had been altered.
Long Tian felt that it was better to go with Shen as he was still worried about his daughter’s safety.
“Shen, here are a few items that would make your journey more convenient. I will let Xue’er explain the rest on the way.” Long Tian gave Shen a bag of holding as he explained it’s use.
Shen and Long Xue’er stayed a few more days as Long Tian wanted to spend some more time with his daughter. He was not sure when he would be able to see her again.
Finally, it was the day for departure. Long Xue’er wore the same white dress next to Shen who looked very excited. The snow fox was lying in Long Xue’er’s arms as it was coming along with the couple.
Long Tian had a sad and reluctant look as he waved goodbye towards the fleeting figures.
