I wake up inside of the tree and notice my body feels a light better now, due to all my injuries healing. My vitality is insanely high right now, so I wonder why I don't heal my injuries quickly. During that fight with the tier 1 beast, I got a bit slugging due to the injuries I got from it's attacks. I feel I should know the reason so I decide to ask Pha.
'Pha, why is it that I healed very slowly during my fight with the tier 1 beast? I would normally heal a lot faster than that.'
You healed slowly for 2 reasons. The first reason being that during fights your regeneration speed of any and all wounds is lowered to 1/4th of the total. The second reason is due to you sustaining internal injuries, which also lowers the regeneration speed. Your regeneration is only 1/3rd of the total on any injuries that are internal, due to the influence of your vitality focusing on your bodies outside, rather than insides.
No wonder! I was seriously wondering why I healed so slowly, resulting in me running from the corpse in fear of more beasts appearing... It seems that the Gods do not want me to be unbeatable, even though I am an immortal. Thinking about it more closely, I find that it makes sense since the main focus of my immortality is bringing me back from death, rather than stopping me from dying. Now that I think about it, I should check my skill list to see how many skills I currently have.

'Pha? Why do only a few skills show a level, while the others do not?'
Due to most of your skills coming from your race, you naturally would not know. Every single skill in the world, except for unique skills like those of your skills obtained from your race, have a level to them. The levels for skills go from 1, being the lowest, to 5, being the highest. The higher the skill is, the stronger they would be. For example, your Marksmanship is currently at level 1, allowing your aim with guns to be on the level of an average police officer. If your skill reaches level 5, you would have a 100% accuracy. Level 3, which will be the most common level in the future, will allow one to have the gun skills of a special forces military officer.
So that's how it works. Ah! I just remembered about that Blood Syphoning skill! I could have used that skill on the beasts body to heal myself, so I wouldn't of had to run away like that. I cannot forget about this skill in the future, since it will definitely come in handy often. I take out the 3 white chests that are inside of my storage and open them, resulting in me getting 2 agility boots and a pair of endurance pants, which I just throw back into my storage as they are useless spares.
Looking out of the tree, I notice that it is currently sometimes around 9 in the morning so I decide it is a good time for me to head out now. I quickly hop down the tree and when I am about to hit the ground I grab a thick branch and twist myself around it, slowing my descent and allowing myself to get to the ground without any problem. I check my surroundings to see if there is any beasts near me, which none are.
Since there are no beasts around me it is safe for now so I don't keep my guard up, though I keep my senses on my surroundings, incase a beast appears. I casually walk through the forest due to not getting attacked by any beasts, which is a nice change since I can just enjoy my small walk until a beast appears.
After walking for an hour I hear the sounds of water, which means there is a river nearby. I decide to head over to the river since I have not had a proper bath in a week. I have been pouring water on myself all this time, but it doesn't really work well. When I walk for around 5 minutes I finally find the river, which is very clear and clearly has no pollution in it. I search my surroundings a bit before concluding there is no beasts within 100 meters. I naturally checked the river for any beasts aswell, since I will be entering the river.
Since there is no beasts around I quickly strip off all of my clothes and gear, placing them inside of my storage. After stripping off my clothes I enter the water and feel the cool water going against my body, and start to lower myself my wash myself all over. When I am washing myself I notice that my skin is extremely white and smooth, also incredibly soft to the touch. After cleaning myself with water for 5 or so minutes I decide it is enough and get out of the river before taking out a clean piece of clothing before drying myself with it. After that I take out a new shirt and underwear before putting them on, then putting all of my gear back on.
I decide to walk alongside the river in the same direction I was heading before, rather than walking back in the dull forest. At least this way I have only one direction I can easily get attacked on, since the other side has a big river blocking it, which would slow anything that wants to attack me down a bit allowing me to react promptly.
I continue walking alongside the river for nearly 2 hours before I start hearing the roars of beasts. The roars sound like they are of pain, so I decide to head in the direction of the roars in hope of finding an injured beast I can kill. I run through the forest for around 3 minutes before I come upon a large fight between beasts. There are two types of beasts fighting in teams. They are the like the tiger beast I killed yesterday, and the other side is a type of monkey beast. Both sides have around 10 or so alive, with dozens of corpses from each side littering the ground.
I quickly hide within a thick trees banches and continue to watch the beasts fight it out, while thinning the other side out. By the time 30 minutes has passed, there is only 3 tiger beasts and 4 monkey beasts remaining alive. They are all heavily injured, yet they continue to fight. 5 minutes later there is only 2 beasts standing, both being from the monkey side, though they are heavily injured.
One monkey is missing his left arm, while the other is missing a large chunk of it's right leg and one of his eyes. I notice that this is a great chance for me to level up, and I decide to take it. I take out my new dagger - Death's Decree, aswell as one of my darksteel daggers, and quickly activate my shadow steps and rush towards the monkeys in a burst of speed. It takes me a mere second to reach the beasts, so they cannot react fast enough with all their wounds and I easily plunge my daggers into their brains, instantly killing them. I take out my daggers and they slowly fall to the ground while I receive notifications.

You have leveled up to level 15! You have 2 free stat points.
I gained an easy 3 levels without taking any damages at all. I decide to store 2 intant monkey and tiger beast corpses inside of my storage, so that I can look over their bodies and hopefully found out some sort of weakness of theirs. Since my dexterity has reached 30, I don't think I should put more points into the stat, so I decide to look at my stats.

Hm. I want to put my points into strength, but increasing my endurance seems better right now. My body is currently to weak to take many blows from these beasts, so increasing my endurance would help. Thinking like this, I decide to put my 6 points into endurance, increasing it to 16, 18 with the pants bonus. Due to this I can feel my muscles tightening themselves and my body feel like it has become toughter, though it still looks and feels the same as before.

'Right Pha, Didn't you say I unlocked new shops now?'
Indeed. You have obtained the Medicine shop and the Skills shop. You can now by any medicine that is currently on Earth, aswell as many types of skills. Most of the skills currently showed will only be ones you own or have seen or heard of at this point. You need to obtain more skills. That or obtain more info about other skills you do not own, so that more skills get added. You should take a look since you might find a useful skill.
Humming in agreement with Pha, I decide to climb up to the top of a large tree and sit within the top branches hiding myself from any beasts that would pass by, so I can safely check the new shops. Let's start with the medicine one.

A lot of these skills sound incredibly strong and very useful to me, even in the long run. They are just so damn expensive! 10000 points just for the Lv1 of that skill... It must be a super strong skill then, Since that is the most expensive thing I have seen yet.

It appears I can. Let me bring them all up for you.

Okay. So... Most of these skills are insanely overpowered and seem VERY useful to me. Especially that Blood Field and Death's Intent. I am buying those skills no matter what when I get a lot more points. A few other skills seem useful enough that I will buy them. Well I have 2 skills I will buy for now.
'Pha, Help me buy the Danger Perception Lv1 skill and the Shadow Teleport Lv1 skill.'
Okay! That will cost 1100 points, So you currently have 175 points left.
You have obtained the skill Danger Perception Lv1.
You have obtained the skill Shadow Teleport Lv1.
After getting the skills I instantly can feel the surroundings within 25 meters of me. This is most likely thanks to the Danger Perception skill. This might take a little while to get used to... Now that I finished looking through all of the skills I decide it is time to continue walking through the forest, so I hop down the tree and quickly reach the ground. I walk back towards the river and continue walking in the direction I was before. I walk for an hour or 2 before I suddenly feel something alert me of danger, so I quickly roll to the other side and jump back and look up to where I previously stood.
In the spot I was at before stands a 2 meter tall monkey beast, Quite larger than the ones I saw previously. It seems mad that it missed it's attack and stood up before roaring out and rushing at me at an insane speed. I quickly take out my Death's Decree and a darksteel dagger and ready myself to fight. The instant both of my daggers appear in my hands, the beast has already appeared before me swinging a first towards my head.
I quickly jump towards the right and stab my Death's Decree towards it's right shoulder, easily piercing it's skin and disabling it's right arm. The beast roars out in pain and sends a fast punch towards me with it's left arm. I place both of my daggers in front of me and lightly jump backwards, reducing it's power, though I still get flung back 5 or so meters and hit a tree. I cough up a mouthful of blood and quickly get back up before activating my shadow steps nad rushing towards the beast in a blur.
The next second I appear behind the beast and send both of my daggers towards it's neck. The beast manages to dodge to the side in time, yet my daggers still lodge themselves inside of his back, leaving two deep bloody wounds. The beast cries out in pain and punches towards me again, though this time I dodge and stab my Death's Decree in the side of it's head before it can react, piercing it's brain and laying it to eternal rest.
You have leveled up to level 16! You have gained 2 free stat points.
You have leveled up to level 17! You have gained 2 free stat points.
You have leveled up to level 18! You have gained 2 free stat points.
You have leveled up to level 19! You have gained 2 free stat points.
You have leveled up to level 20! You have gained 2 free stat points.
Wow! Just killing this monkey beast gave me 5 levels, rising to level 20! I guess this was some sort of boss monkey beast or something since it gave a lot more levels than a normal monkey beast would. I decide to put all 10 points into strength, rising it up to 24. Now I will have a lot more piercing power, which will let me easily kill these tier 1 beasts with my Death's Decree now. I shouldn't have to worry about getting too injured by these beasts now unless there is more than 3.
This time I use my blood syphoning skill on the beasts body. A red mist came out of the beasts body into me, Making me feel refreshed and healing all of my injuries. This is such a useful skill that I am surprised I got it for free when I got my new body. I'm not complaining though. I pick up the blue treasure chest beside the now mummy looking monkey corpse and place it in my storage before continuing my adventure.
I walk for 3 hours with no problems and notice it is turning night time again, so I jump up a large tree and carve another small hole I can fit inside of again and quickly fall asleep after finding a decent position.
