Mines 1.1

As Jack had just managed to speak into nothingness, the booming female voice spoke a final sentence.

"Now entering the world of Eratia."

"Wait, wait, wait, wait I still have a lot of stuff to ask!"

Jack waved his hands around frantically, trying to stop the system from doing something else he wasn't expecting. But he was too late, his body was already being engulfed in some sort of blue light and he could feel himself floating.

Suddenly, he was standing in a large round room, around him there were a lot fo people who all looked about as confused as him. Through those people, he saw what looked like knights which seemed to be surrounding them in a circle formation

"Right."

Someone Jack couldn't see clapped twice, and all the sound in the room seemed to stop.

[You are under the effect of a mute spell]

A notification appeared in the top right corner of his vision, and, he realized his mouth wouldn't move.

"Recruiters, pick the ones you want. I'll make sure you can take them away safely."

Five people stepped into the crowd, and everything was plunged into chaos. Suddenly people began struggling, moving away from the armored men who had just stepped into the crowd. They all seemed to be inspecting the people, the moment they touched someone they fell to the ground.

Some people tried to avoid their hands, even going as far as to attempt to attack them. Those people were quickly killed, by sword no less. Jack was in shock as one of the men approached him. The man looked at him, tilted his head and then turned away.

The whole event was very bizarre, since there was no sound in the room. Well, no sound except for the sound of one person's footsteps. It was the one who had first spoken, this character was wearing long purple robes which were decorated with yellow stars.

They looked rather ridiculous, however, no one was able to question the outfit.

The armored men now stepped back, behind the lines of knights surrounding them in a circle.Jack hadn't been able to count the amount of people in the room, now he could do so easily. There were 67 in total. 1 weird person, 40 knights and 6 more powerful looking knights. Then there were 20 of them, including him, the people who seemed extremely confused.

"Right, the others will be assigned labor roles instead of a guild. Who would you like to select?"

The robed person didn't seem to be speaking to the 20 of them, instead the person was speaking into some sort purple crystal ball in his hand.

"Right, got it."

Jack felt his body become lighter as his vision faded.

"Dammit, not again."

---

"Wait, what I can speak?"

Jack opened his eyes and spoke. Boy, did it feel good to speak, and hear. He could clearly hear the gravel below him as he twisted his body. Wait, gravel? He sat up straight from his laid down position. It was dark all around him, he could hear calm breathing somewhere nearby, and he could hear what sounded like water dripping from somewhere else. He clearly felt the gravel below him, and a sort of rotten smell spread into his nose.

"What sort of weird, fetishistic shit is this?"

He mumbled as he stood up, his leg shaking a bit. The moment he stood up, the room lit up. He looked around, but couldn't pinpoint the light source. But what he could see however was how the room looked. The walls and ceiling were made from stone, the floor was covered in gravel. There really was nothing else in the room, well except for the man who laid on the opposite side of the room from him.

[Once both newcomers awake you may leave this room.]

Another box in the top right corner of his vision, but this one quickly disappeared as well. He didn't really have time for this, he inspected the other man. He was older than Jack, who was only 17. This man seemed to be in his mid-twenties.

He had brown hair, which was cut rather short. He wore a nice black suit, and a pair of broken glasses laid next to him on the ground. After a few seconds of inspecting the walls to make sure there was no exit he stopped, but the moment he stopped he could feel something.

His stomach felt like it was imploding on itself, and before he knew it he fell to his hands and knees and threw up on the floor. The stress had gotten to him, having no idea what was going on and now being stuck in this small room. Was this how he died?

As he was throwing up, he heard the man on the floor groan as his eyes opened. Jack could out of the corner of his eyes see the man look at him hazily and then...

"WHAT THE HELL!?"

The man reacted. He quickly got up on his two feet and backed away from Jack. While this was happening, a notification appeared in the top right corner again.

[The door will now open.]

Jack stopped throwing up a few seconds after this happened, it didn't seem like he could anymore. He felt empty inside, it actually felt pretty good. He stood up, shaking a bit. A piece of the wall began shaking, and then was raised into the ceiling.

The other man looked at it suspiciously, but continued to keep his eye on Jack, it was clear he was also confused. Jack didn't really care right now, he slowly walked towards the exit and left the room, outside the first thing he heard was:

"Looks like the last two are here."
