Prologue: The Sun and The Moon

Prologue: The Sun and The Moon

In the beginning there was only light and darkness. Light brought forth the four elements to make up for its loneliness. When darkness found out about light's children, it pined for its own and sought out light for guidance. As the light and darkness spend time together teaching each other their ways of magic, creating a world only they can understand, they both found out that they complement each other; for light can only bring forth the goodness that there is, and darkness can only create the shadows that lurk in chaos.

To create balance to the world they created, Light gave its own children to Darkness, so it can mold them to perfection.

Air was known to give life to the world, but now can conjure up storms that can ravish it as well.

Fire was known to give light to the world, but now can burn it up in an instant

Earth was known to give bountiful fruits to the world, but now can crush those around it.

Water was known to provide nourishment to the world, but now can swallow anything it wants.

Light and Darkness. Peace and Chaos. Perfection.

Light and Darkness presented their world to their molded offspring, and their offspring flourished there with their power. Centuries later, their offspring grew tired of their ways and wanted their own children as well. So, they brought forth the humans, created by their imagination and yearning for something that is of their own.

Each human possesses the mark of its parent element and is blessed to perform its powers, though to a degree. Only those who are deeply loved by their parent element can channel their full potential to the world.

Light and Darkness saw what their children created, and the imperfection they possess. Tired from eons and eons of guiding them, Light and Darkness consummated one more time, to give their children and their offspring their final gift, before they depart from the world they created and slumber for eternity.

From their union, they brought forth the Sun and the Moon; a perfect recreation of Light and Darkness- guardians to their lesser progeny and its offspring.

The Sun and Moon guided their siblings and their children; providing balance to the world. Soon the Sun and the Moon wanted their own offspring – humans shaped after their own image to guide their sibling's children in the world.

And they brought forth the First Mother and the Blessed Father.

The marriage of the First Mother and the Blessed man brought forth the Empire of Celestia, uniting the humans into one rule. For centuries they lived in unity, although peace was sometimes questionable, due to everyone's innate nature of darkness. The Blood Crown – forged from the blood and the heart of the First Mother and Blessed Father, became the symbol of Celestia upon their deaths, their children wearing them with pride. The blood-red jewels of the crown – swirling and pulsing with life – will shine like the sun and glow like the moon when worn by the one it chooses to rule the land. Always from the united blood of the Sun and Moon – the royal family of Celes.

While multiple civil wars ravaged the empire, it still stood united as the time it was brought forth into the world; until the Reckoning of the Moon a thousand years ago. What was once a peaceful and unified empire was suddenly divided into Solaria and Lunaria, representing the two main powerhouses of the empire; due to greed and anger. The Blood Crown was shattered and its pieces claimed by each kingdom – The Crystal Crown for Lunaria, and the Crown of Flames for Solaria.

Solaria got the prowess of battle, Lunaria got the death glare of magic and sorcery.

For years the 2 kingdoms warred each other to death for the other part of the crown and seize main control of the empire, but it always ended in stalemate. Countless  bodies piled up every year, due to greed and anger. As the years pass, nobody really remembers what started the Reckoning, only the anger that it brought forth to the lands, the thirst to see the other kingdom kneel and fall.

Now, with too much bloodshed that has happened over a thousand years, the rulers of both Solaria and Lunaria have decided to unite the bloodline once more, by offering their children to marry one another.

The Sun is marrying the Moon again – a recreation of the empire being birthed once more
