“When do we need a fifth party member” We had made it half way up the stairs to the ninth floor.

“Not until floor 11” Good, we can just focus on getting Miko back

“Hold it! You are here by under arrest by the order of God Neptune of the Adventures Guild” What the? We made our way onto the ninth floor only to come out in the middle of the town surrounded by Guards.

“What!?”

“God Neptune has ordered the arrest of you and possibly your party if they interfere, he would like to question you about the deaths of a party of Demi-Bull Players” Demi-Bull players…Damn it!

“Sir Udon has done no such thing” Umi stood up for me, damn it!

“Umi” I grabbed her shoulder, she turned to me and looked confused

“Sir Udon” She said softly, it was starting to hit her that I did have something to do with the deaths of those players

“If we resist it will only be worse, you take Vnaa and go to the tenth floor, I’ll meet you up there” There was no need for Umi to get involved in all of this.

“Sir Udon, I cannot leave you”

"Lets go you” The Town Guard dressed in armour with what I’m assuming is a God’s crest across their chest plate grabbed me roughly and pushed me towards the prison.

“Papa Udon!” Vnaa shouted out, damn it Umi! Grab her and keep her safe. I stared at Umi, she seemed to understand the situation and proceeded to go up the stairs next to her. The tenth floor was the only floor that the ascending and descending stairs are next to each other.

“Let me go Umi, Papa Udon needs help” I could hear Vnaa shouting out trying to get Umi to let go of her…damn it!

“We’ll meet him on the next floor, I promise Vnaa” Umi reassured the wriggly Vnaa, I wouldn’t have promised that, I don’t know how to I’m going to get out of this one.

“Get in there you criminal scum” The guard threw me into the cell hard, I rolled across the stone floor and hit the wall.

“You’ll be sharing a cell with that crazy lady over there, be carful, she believes she’s the Ancient Floor Monster, Our beautiful Goddess Luna has decided she is an abomination to look at and has ordered her death” Huh? So this town must be run by Luna’s faction, sheesh, been given a death sentence because of how you look…I’d like to say I have no idea about that but, well, it happens on earth, especially if you weren’t a certain colour or more like especially if you were a certain colour.

“Hello young player, why have you been thrown in this small room” The ‘crazy’ lady walked out of the dark corner, she was a spider beastman, she had black and white hair, four small spider arms on her back but, the rest of her was a human form, two legs, two arms and a womanly face with red eyes.

“Why should I tell you, I don’t know you” I might have softened up a little on Miko and the other girls but I still didn’t trust anyone

“Dear me, what has happened to you” Why does everyone keep saying that! It’s normal for someone not to trust anyone!

“Stay out of my business!” I stood up and examined the cell, there must be a way out of here

“If you are looking for a way out, I don’t believe there is any, even my small spider-goblins can’t penetrate this cell”

“Yeah, well, I have something …” Small Spider-Goblins?

“Uhh, what is a Spider Goblin?” That sounds like two monsters that should never be combined

“It is what it sounds like, a goblin with spider legs, some have spider faces and others are the complete other way around” What the hell! Who would make such a thing! Creator you weird sick AI!

“I’m not going to stay around long enough to meet them” I pulled out my Ghost Seed.

“Is that” The Spider lady looked at my seed, she seemed to know what it was

“If you are trying to get to the tenth floor, you will need more then the legendary Ghost Seed” She did know what it was, is she really the Arachne that Hathor spoke about

“It is a powerful weapon, if you know how to use it though” The Spider lady walked closer to me, she was very interested in me not the seed though

“I can help you get to the tenth floor”

“I don’t need any help” I lifted my arm up ready to throw the seed at the wall

“Are you going to force your way up the stairs? I assure you that won’t end well for you” …Damn it, she had a point

“How can you help me” I had to keep my guard up around her, I have no other choice but to trust her

“If you can help me escape this place, I can teleport you to the tenth floor”

“Are you really Arachne, the one Hathor spoke about?”

“You’ve met Hathor? How’s she doing? Did she get the last group of freed Pixie slaves?” So it was her, hmm, she might be all right to trust for the time being

“She did, how do we escape the town then?” My magic was cancelled out as soon as I was thrown into this cell, it must have a magic barrier or something blocking not only my power, but Arachne’s power too.

“We are currently in the Fertility Guild Hall, my home is located to the far North-East corner of this floor, if we can get there I’ll be able to teleport you up to the tenth floor” That still didn’t explain how we escape the town

“Escaping the town is a little different, if you are to cause a big enough explosion my Spider-Goblins will be able to see it and come rescue us” Spider-Goblins…nope, nup, not happening

“Fine, I guess we have no choice” I threw the Corrosive Acid Seed along with two others at the wall, the seed did melt a hole in a wall, but…

*Kaboom!

“What!? How did that even happen!?” The entire wall was blown into smithereens

“You didn’t know? That Ghost Seed of yours interferes with magic, I assumed since you threw it at the magical barrier you wanted an explosion. I was a little confused since you wanted to stay hidden, I didn’t think an explosion would create a stealthy escape”

“Of course I didn’t know!” Why wouldn’t that Creator tell me that!

“Dear me, to late now I suppose, we should get going though don’t you think” How can she be so calm!? The guards are no doubt surrounding us as we speak

“Come on” Arachne jumped over the debris of the destroyed wall and practically skipped out into the open. I reluctantly followed her, as soon as we came into the open, exactly what I thought.

“There must be over a hundred guards here!” I looked around and we were surround by what seems like every guard on this floor

“Its ok, trust me” Arachne was still so calm, did she have a plan

“Dear me, there they are” She pointed into the sky at…nothing, is this girl really just a delusional looney!? I gave her a little side glare and moved away from her slightly.

“What are you even pointing at! Nows not the time to be messing around Archane!” I shouted out, I was getting ready to fight, I had given my sword to Umi when they arrested me so I had no weapon except this Ghost Seed to fight with

“Dear me, please call me Archey, just be patient” Archey…Archey! Is she serious now! We are surrounded by over a hundred armoured guards and she’s worrying about her stupid nickname!

“Over here!” Archane or Archey as she prefers apparently, waved her hands above her head with a gigantic smile, she looked like a little brat that had no clue about the situation she was in

“Weeee”

“What the!” In a matter of seconds I saw a thick silver web wrap around Archey’s waist and pull her through the air and to the roof of one of the buildings in a blink of an eye, the exact same thing happened to me right after, please don’t tell me.

“Behold, my incredible Spider-Goblins” I knew it! Archey waved her arms out to present her pride and joy, Spider-Goblins. Thats not something to be proud off! They are two of the most hated monsters and animals back on earth!

“Dear me, they seem to be following us, let us make haste” What is this girl on about, her tone and manner of speaking changes with every word, she really is a looney.

“Fine, lets hurry, I don’t have my sword with me” We jumped down off the roof an entered the market, we dodged and manoeuvred our way through the many people and stalls until we got to the edge of town.

“What now?” I asked, the Spider Goblins started to run right, I was confused on what I was looking at. It was like a cave corridor or Dungeon Corridor more like it but filled with bright, healthy, green grass and colourful flowers, it only had two paths, the left and the right, it was a unique scenery to say the least.

“Lets go, my home is deep in the forest, the humans won’t approach it because of the strong monsters that reside there” Strong monsters? How am I supposed to go in there then!

“Dear me, don’t worry, my Spider-Goblins will scare away the monsters” Archey reassured me, I followed her and made my way into the forest, it was filled with black birch trees and had an ominous energy strengthening the deeper you go

“I don’t know if I should trust this girl” I mumbled to myself, she might just be luring me into her home to eat me, this whole thing had a Hansel and Gretel feeling to it, the witch fattening up the kids after tricking them to come into her home…Am I going to be forced fed by these Spider-Goblins!

“Are you all right?” Archey looked back at me, she saw me slowing down

“I wouldn’t slow down in this part of the forest, this is the Trolls territory” Trolls, seriously!

“Coming” I replied under my breath annoyed at the situation I have got myself into.

“Welcome to my village” We arrived in an elf like village, except, it had spider webs strung up all around the trees. The houses were nothing but balls of webs stuck to trees, the ground was also covered in fallen webs and it looked like a complete mess really.

“Dear me, you don’t like my village do you? I have let it get a little messy while I was gone, but I’ll clean it up eventually”

“A little messy? If you really are the Ancient Floor Monster shouldn’t you take care of your home better”

“I know, I am just to lazy that’s all” Wow, at least she honest with herself

“How did you get kidnapped by the humans?” An Ancient Floor Monster getting thrown into a human cell, seems like a weak monster if you're asking me.

“Hmm” Archey looked away distressed at my question

“If the forest is so dangerous, it begs the question, how did you get captured” I pressed a little harder, my curiosity had peaked now, maybe I could use the techniques they used on her to my advantage in capturing the Evil 8.

“Follow me, I don’t want to discuss this out in the open” She must have meant in front of her Spider-Goblins. Archey started to walk towards the back of the village, her house was in the design of a normal cabin you’d find in the woods but, made out of nothing but spider webs.

“Please sit down, you must be tired” Archey offered a seat at her table and sat down on the other end

“Before we talk about the situation that caused me to get captured, I am yet to know your name? A player with the Ghost Seed is quite a peculiar player indeed”

“My name is Kubo Udon, just call me Udon. Did something bad happen to you while you were in the cell?” With how she’s acting, it seems like reality has hit her all at once. I know first hand how bad humans can be, especially to a defenceless, helpless girl, despite other girls out there that use that to torture and frame innocent man, Archey didn’t seem to be that type of girl.

“Oh no, nothing like that. You see, I had an arrangement with the town on this floor, I would provide them with Spider-Goblin webs and they would leave us alone”

“Spider-Goblin web?”

“Yes, the webs that the Spider-Goblins create are very useful when mixed in with Pixie Dust, they create numerous powders that enhance players”

“And what happened, did they trick you and then capture you”

“Not exactly, I was summoned by the Fertility Guild on this floor to have a meeting about the powders, once I arrived the person that had summoned me was the Goddess Luna, she took one look at me and practically vomited and then ordered her guards to capture me” All because of how she looked? Sounds like a certain horse bitch I used to know

“I wouldn’t have cared if they had just captured me, but… the Goddess Luna ordered the executions of the three Spider-Goblins that had accompanied me to the meeting, they slaughtered them in front of me and then she ordered my execution as a town event” Archey looked down, she looks really upset, seeing your comrades be killed in front of you would destroy the even the most high levelled player, and then to realise it was because of the way you looked, I might be in another world but it doesn’t feel like it sometimes.

“I’m sorry, that must have been hard, to be hated just by the way you look, its not a very pleasing feeling” I felt bad for her, that might have even been the first time I related to someone in this world. I’m not saying I was hated for the way I look like certain people back on earth, but, I was still bullied because I was over weight.

“I-its ok, I learnt a lesson, don’t trust the humans…Letting your heart cloud with hatred and vengeance like this will only cause harm to yourself and those around you” Archey lifted her head up to me gave me a faint, weak smile, those words, I knew well to much, if I had trusted Miko even the slightest she wouldn’t have been taken because of me.

“Why did you help me then, last I checked, I was a human” Did she want revenge? Am I going to be the subject of her revenge? Misdirect anger was not uncommon

“I over-heard the guards before you were thrown into my cell, something about tricking the God Neptune about killing the Ice Chimera Monster and then helping The Woman of the Snow defat the Yeti army, from the sounds of it, you had been betrayed and tormented for no reason, I felt a connection with you, that you weren’t like the other humans” This was all apart of Neptune’s plan then

“I don’t mean to be rude, but can you teleport me back to my comrades now” I asked, this was weird, I related to her in so many ways, my tone had changed just from talking to her, it wasn’t a tone filled with pity, no, more of a tone filled with empathy.

“Of course, thank you for helping me out there, if you ever need any help, please let me know” Archey had her original smile back, I guess she can’t really discuss her feelings of her fallen family to her other family, in my experience you couldn’t anyway.

“I’m sorry for what happened to you and your family, I understand what it’s like losing something precious to you” I placed my hand onto of Archey’s hand and tried to give her a smile, I couldn’t even force a smile, I just looked at her with an empathetic expression.

“T-thank you” Archey squeezed my hand and just like my teleport gem skill, we teleported to the tenth floor

“I didn’t teleport you to the stairs because there might have been guards, this is where I sensed the energy of your party” She teleported me to what seems like the bottom of a volcano

“Thank you” I turned around back to her after looking around, but she had vanished, I looked down at where she was and felt guilty, guilty that I couldn’t help her at all, what is wrong with me! No one felt this way when I was going through shit! Why am I feeling this way!

“Papa Udon!”
