Hello, everyone! I wanted to let you know that this story will be going on a break. Lately, I haven’t been enjoying the writing process; it’s started to feel more like a chore, and that’s not how I want it to be.

However, there’s good news! When I do come back—though I’m not sure exactly when—I’ll be working on a rewrite with a clearer, more focused vision for the story. Frankly, this story began without much direction, and it shows. I’ve already revised much of it in a separate document to create a better overview of the world and to outline the direction I want the plot and story to go.

I’m also hoping that I’ll have much more motivation for writing this rewrite, as I really want to bring this story to life. Frankly, I find the current version to have major pacing writing, world-building, and frankly, many more issues, which isn’t surprising, given that this was my first attempt at writing a story. And as I have said before It’s really more of a rough draft.

With the new version, I aim to hoping achieve several improvements: I plan to write chapters of at least 4,000 to 5,000 words and to stick to a consistent schedule, ideally releasing one, maybe two, chapters each week at a set time frame like every Friday and Monday at 16:00. And of course improve all writing-related things.

I’ll also be keeping this older version up in case anyone still wants to read it—though, honestly, I’m not sure why you would! But having more options is always a good thing.

In short, I’ll be taking a break for an indefinite amount of time, with the hope of returning to work on a rewrite that will improve all aspects of the story. Thank you all so much for reading what I know has been, in my opinion, a rough first draft.
