Wade found himself unable to speak. Two agents stood before him. He half expected them to arrest them, but they stood there, seeming to respect his space and give him a moment to process this.
"Ummm..?" Wade nervously muttered. "May I ask what's going on?" His mind was racing, and Wade couldn't get the nervousness out of his voice.
"Mr. Rogers, We are with the American government. I am sure you have many questions about what is happening now, but we ask for your patience and cooperation. The director will explain everything in the debrief." The first agent clasped both his hands in front of him. His body language was calm and collected, but Wade could tell the man was on edge.
"Do you know what's happening with the messages and the 'status screens'?" Wade stood more attentive, resting his hand on the door frame. He leaned toward the federal agent, waiting for a response.
"Um..." The first agent hesitated.
"We currently don't have the liberty to answer that question." The second agent interjected. Resting his hand on the first agent's shoulder, he continued, "Should you wish for information, please come with us. We may know someone who holds the answers you seek."
Wade hesitated at that. "If that is the case, it seems to figure out what is going on, I need to speak with this person you speak of." Wade looks at the government officials and then at his apartment. "May I have a moment to prepare to leave my residence?"
"Of-of course, Mr. Rogers. Please take as much time as you need. The meeting won't start until another two hours." One of the agents stuttered out. Both of them seemed to be slightly surprised that everything went so smoothly. Wade quickly got to work putting on his outdoor clothes and shoes. As he stepped outside, the agents guided Wade into a car and ferried him out of the city and to a military base. As Wade exited the vehicle, he noticed he was not the only one arriving there. Wade saw many types of people, many of whom were muscular and others who were somewhat scrawny or unathletic; there was also a good mix of males and females, and overall, there seemed to be around 1,000 of us in total. One of the agents also stepped out and guided Wade to a large open area within the base. There was a stage on one side of the hall, and upon it was a speakers stand, though none was manning it. More people flowed into the hall; wanting to keep to himself, Wade moved to the back of the auditorium and quietly watched the rest of the people. He noticed others doing the same; silence filled the room with awkwardness, and only a few whispers flowed throughout the hall.
"What's going on?" One person whispered.
"Do you think the government knows what these blue screens are?"
"what's your class? Mine is..." More whispers of a similar nature quietly diffused through the hall.
The sounds of footsteps on the stage gathered everyone's attention. Wade noticed a camera crew in the back of the hall start filming. A tall, brown-haired man with pale eyes and a confident but tired gait walked onto the stage. In his hand he hold an old chain watch that ticks with every second. Stopping at the speaker's podium, he looks at everyone. When his eyes fell onto Wade's general area, Wade almost felt that they made eye contact for a moment before the unnamed man continued on his sweep.
"Hello, My name is Klaus." Klaus's voice was dull but steady, Holding back a wariness that could only be seen in his eyes. " I'm sure you all are wondering what the hell is going on. So I'm going to give you all a moment to ask some questions; after all, that's what you came here for, isn't it?" Immediately, the hall broke out in a chorus of cacophony as everyone spoke simultaneously. "Quiet!" The crowd silenced, but a few grumbled in irritation. "I can't even hear anything over that sound. Alright, I'm just going to pick someone." Klaus pointed his hand at one person in the middle of the crowd.
"What's going on? What are these screens? And How do you know the answers?" A tall, muscular girl shouts from the crowd.
Klaus chuckled tiredly. " From what I've heard, Our world just awakened. What that means is, basically, we all have superpowers." Gasps and whispers flooded the hall. " What those screens are is just our powers put into a way we can understand them and track them. And how I know this?" Klaus opened his status window, and a zoomed-in version of it appeared on the giant screen behind him.

"I am a High Priest of Father Time." Collective gasps and whispers about what that meant blasted throughout the room. "Calm down people!" Klaus tried to regain the crowd's attention, but no one paid attention to him anymore; they were too busy talking about the implications of being a high priest to a god.
