Warm energy flowed through Wade's hand, gently diffusing to the rest of his body. Clenching his fist, Wade grins. Not wanting to waste more time, Wade jumped right into testing his next subskill. [Blood Mage's Armor] seemed to be a defensive skill to Wade.
"This could be useful; I'm going to need to survive first if I want to enjoy my life." Wade thought happily. "Alright. No use stalling." Wade said aloud. He took a deep breath and concentrated.

Blood started flowing from the center of Wade's chest, moving to surround Wade's body. The process was slow and deliberate; the blood moved to create a thin layer of red around Wade's body. As the process finished, the blood slowly sank back into Wade's body, leaving Wade just as he started and very confused. Wade looked at his hands and body, finding them to be unchanged, and when he interacted with them, they felt normal to the touch. Wade thought of two possibilities then: either the subskill failed, or it was not visible. Although Wade wanted to believe it was the latter, he could not risk discovering that the skill was not working at a crucial moment. That left Wade to find out now. Wade looked toward a bobbin pin his mother had left with a ball of yarn on her last visit to him. Sighing, Wade got up and reached for the pin.

Laying his hand on a table, Wade slowly pushed the bobbin pin to the back of his hand; as the pin met Wade's hand, it stopped suddenly as if it hit something like wood instead of flesh. Frowning in surprise, Wade put more effort into the pin, but the pin remained unmoving. As Wade placed more pressure on the nail, it started to bend. Releasing the nail, Wade looked at the back of his hand, finding it unmarred. Confidence and curiosity flowed within Wade. Heading to the kitchen, Wade grabbed a small knife from his drawer. Placing the blade on his palm, Wade gently applied some pressure and pulled the blade back. As Wade cut himself, he felt a very muted sting. Looking at his hand, Wade saw a crimson red covering the area where the blade should have cut. Feeling this mark with his other hand, Wade discovered that this was not a wound but some sort of layer of protection just under his skin.
"Knock knock knock." Someone knocking on Wade's door interrupted HIm from further experimenting with his powers. As Wade got up and opened the door, he saw two men wearing black suits, clearly tired but maintaining a sense of respect.
"Wade Roggers I presume." One said, showing Wade his wallet and a badge.
"We're the FBI and will need your cooperation for the time being." the other said, also showing a badge.
