Deathberry Forest
Laying there silently, cold breeze of wind hits his face, the towering man was in thought as he looked at the beautiful stars. Everything around him was quiet and peaceful. Different to the outside of this safezone. Everyday, he would hear the gruesome fate of the warriors, his clan would encourage the younglings that dying in the war is honorable and should they take after their fallen parents's torch to keep the war ongoing until they won. His thought was the opposite side of the spectrum, he didn't care dying just to gain other's approval, only forever living was in his mind; enjoy what the world's has to offer, like what he is doing right now.
His peaceful world was ended when two youths approached him, distancing a ten meter away. His heightened senses has already notified him a long time ago, he just choosen to ignore them. The taller youth has the brightest idea to nock an unusual rock in his sling and hurl it to the towering man, unafraid to anger him. The smaller youth thought his friend was amazing as he began idolizing him.
The thrown rock flew at high speed, unusually faster than what the tall youth could normally throw, as the rock accelerated, it hits the towering man in the side of his chest with great force. An unexpected power that made the towering man let out a grunt. "Fucking kids..." He mumbled as he stood up and sharply turned to glare at the two youth. Before he could speak a word, the two youths ran while laughing, shouting words that hurt the towering man's heart, "Wah! Big Coward is angry! Hahaha! Big Coward! Big Coward!" It was hurtful and true, as he clutches the unusual rock in his hand, making a crackling noise. Calming down later and letting out a sigh.
Returning back to his comfortable position, the man started stargazing again. Quickly interrupted by the unusual power of the rock thrown at him. As far he could tell, the kid was not that powerful enough to cause him pain, he was born with this huge body after all. Even swords slashes hurt less than the rock that was thrown at him. Appraising the rock, he noticed it had layers of hardened something clay-like, piqued by this, he unearthed what was hidden.
"Holy fuck..." Looking at the purple crystal in his hand, he was shocked. If he remember, this was a System Core, its shape and appearance looked similar to the System Core he saw years ago as young kid being taught, it only difference was its color, what he saw before was red and this one purple. An unfortunate kid has just thrown him a fucking System Core, without a due, he infused mana from his hand to the purple crystal.
[ Would you like to inherent the System Core? ]
[ Yes ] - [ No ]
As he looked at the interface, he then clicked yes.
The purple crystal loses it vibrant light as it crumbles in his hand, as he watches it, a threshold of pain that even veteran warriors would scream for, hit him like a truck. It was an excruciating pain, he began sweating like the sun was up, clutched his head as he could not stop moving and turning. It was painful and he felt like being burned to death. His head being stabbed, something suffocating him, and all he could do was endure.

The entire event lasted an hour, as he lay there exhausted. Greedily breathing for air and looking at the stars, full of relief that the pain finally ended.
He didn't care the shirt he was wearing was full of sweat, he weakly said, "Status." As a game-like interface appeared before him.

Ness was shocked at the marvelous system he got, "Shit..." He exclaimed.
Before he could read further at the system interface, a slender-tall male gradually appeared in his line of sight. Albeit smaller than Ness, the aura he was unleashing was mightier than Ness's. "Lord!" Ness quickly positioned himself before the handsome man and executed every movement perfectly, afraid to slightly anger the man.
As the man walked, Ness still in the grovel position, sensed a huge vibration coming behind the handsome man's elegant vibration. "Honey... why are we here?" A deep, guttural voice entered Ness's ears, as he flinched. It was as if the voice could kill him in an instant.
Ness was afraid, he was after all a slave to this man, he saved him and he was grateful but... the man was sick in the head, like most warriors out there. He was a battle junky, even the woman by his side could put Ness in fear. And he knows what was about to happen. It was time, the end of Ness's peaceful life.
Waiting for a command, "Raise your head up and look at me." Ness's hideous face was shown to his master and the woman by his side, seeing the disgusted expression of woman, Ness was hurt but didn't allow it to express in his face, once again, afraid to anger the man before him.
"Good. Now, it is time, I waited for you but you didn't come. So I went here to fetch you." His master's voice was graceful and soothing, but Ness's heart was in turmoil. He has forgotten about his ceremony to become a warrior. "I'm sorry! I didn't mean to! I-I got lose in time and forgotten! Please forgive me master!" Ness slammed his head to the dirt as he beg for forgiveness while hiding that fact he gotten himself a System Core.
"Good riddance, raise your head up." To his master's words, Ness raised his head once again.
"Now, we have no time to waste here, stand up and follow me." Turning arround, his back now reflected to Ness's eyes, prompted his hand to follow him. Ness stood up and followed his master.
They walked all the to the town, leaving Deathberry Forest and entering Lucenlent Kingdom, the towering man attracted the public's attention. Ness's sad face was exposed to the spectators. His heightened senses allowed him to hear the mumbles of the people.
"Has the Big Coward finally becoming a warrior? Isn't this a good thing? My, my, my, the graceful lord is finally turning the coward into a man!"
"Finally about time, the war has costed a lot of this kingdom, a powerful warrior is what we needed at the time of distress."
"Pssh! He's just a coward born with a big body! He will probably die faster than those incompetent bastards!"
"Ouch! Why did you pinched my ear, dear! Isn't what I'm saying the truth!?"
Ness's already foul mood was dampened as he hated the words they said. Not like, he was a coward, he just didn't find a reason to fight for this damned kingdom. These people are too obssessed with the war, he felt like being normal here. Maybe, because he doesn't have anything valuable here. He was just an abandoned children and he grew up with people with ulterior motives, these people forcing him to do that and that, and now they are sending him to a battlefield where many people falls.
Instead of feeling sorry of himself, Ness turned it into anger instead. Of course, he hid this anger inside of him. As he walked around the town with a sad face.
Arriving at the destination, his master gestured him to pick a weapon in front of a table full of diffrent weapons. People who followed, watched the scene.
"He's going to pick a sword isn't he? Since he was a swordsman."
"Yeah, definitely, a sword he will pick."
"Nah, I bet he will pick a different one, a sword doesn't suit his body after all."
Mostly of these people were warriors, excited for a new brother, a big one at that.
Ness looked at the weapons, he eyed the sword at the far right before looking away, the person who said that, was right, a sword was perfect when he was little but he had grown too big, it won't suit him anymore. Looking at the polearm sections, Ness found one that met his requirements, it was a polearm known as Bec De Corbin. Ness studdied it and grabbed it. "Do you pick that one?" His master said as he studdied the weapon in his hands. "Yeah... but I need a bigger version." His master stood silent for a while before nodding and said, "No problem, I'll get you one suited for your height." He grabbed the polearm and said to Ness, "Good choice. Now, follow me."
Ness followed his master and arrived to the greatest blacksmith in the kingdom.
