“Spencer, isn’t you dead?! Why are your eyes glowing… red?” Todd asked.
Spencer didn’t reply to Todd. He just walked past him and ascended the stairs toward the roof because he had no time to waste. If he killed Todd, soldiers would catch him up and stop him. His ultimate aim was to pilot a helicopter and fly to Giza, Egypt.
“Hey! Where are you going?” Todd shouted at Spencer, who had already reached the end of the stairs.
*IN THE HUB*
Calmed down after Spencer didn’t attack him since the facility was out of power, the General yelled at the soldiers with a loudspeaker who were still firing their guns at nothing, “STOP!!!”
A few bullets still ricocheted the wall after the General shouted. Silence reigned in the darkness, with the sound of bodies collapsing echoing in the hub. Dozens of soldiers hurt each other when Spencer scared the crap out of them, so they collapsed onto the floor.
Something hit the shoes of the General. He flicked across the floor and caught multiple corpses lying on the ground, as dead as zombies.
“SLAY THAT MOTHERFUCKER’S HEAD DOWN!” The General barked.
Soldiers marched out of the hub and towards different directions. They barged in and out of rooms, trying to find Spencer and behead him. Although Spencer will overpower them if they fight against him, they had already lost their sanity to think sensibly. They only wanted Spencer to die.
*ON THE ROOF*
Spencer sprinted towards the helipad, and Todd was chasing him.
“Who are you! You are not Spencer! Spencer was dead!” Todd yelled.
Todd caught up with Spencer and grasped the arm of Spencer to stop him moving.
“Get away from me or I’ll kill you!” Spencer replied, with his eyes glowing red again.
Todd froze when Spencer’s eyes flashed again. He knew something was wrong.
Then, files of soldiers barged through the roof door and entered the roof. When they discovered Todd was with Spencer, they called other soldiers and the General to go to the rooftop.
“Kill him! Kill Spencer now!” Soldiers in front yelled at Todd from the door.
Todd looked sideways and noticed a whole army standing near the door. More and more soldiers arrived onto the roof. Todd pushed Spencer toward the edge of the rooftop, and a rush of breeze was blowing toward him. When he realized how far was the roof and the ground, acrophobia hit him hard, and he lost the grip on Spencer.
Spencer swung his arm and punched Todd, leaving a big red patch on his face. Spencer then kicked Todd hard and switched positions with him. Strangled by Spencer, Todd leaned against the edge of the rooftop. Half of Todd’s body was hanging in mid-air, tensing up his muscles when fear kicked in. He will die when Spencer pushed him an inch forward.
Todd closed his eyes and let his ears to be filled with the whistling sound of wind. He was now experiencing his last moment of life, allowing wind to blow on his face and enjoying the sensation.
“FIRE!!!” The General yelled with the determination to kill Spencer.
Thousands of bullets came out of the muzzles from all sides, aiming at Spencer as if locusts swarmed through the air. Brave soldiers even held swords to behead Spencer.
In an instant, the bullets arrived before Spencer. With his deft movement, Spencer spun around and dodged the bullets with ease. The bullets grazed the skin of him, but the wounds magically recovered. As he spun, he slung Todd back onto the roof, allowing Todd to move again. Todd knew he couldn’t defeat Spencer, so he took shelter behind rows of soldiers.
“CHARGE!!!” The General screamed at the top of his lungs, at the front charging towards Spencer. The army followed and flanked Spencer, gradually surrounded him in a circle.
“KILL HIM!” The General commanded while drawing his sword out of the sheath.
When the blades touched the skin of Spencer, a powerful rush of energy swept through the air, knocking everyone away from him. The energy burnt most of the soldiers to death and damaged the structure of the facility. The roof started to tilt as bricks and pillars supporting the facility began crashing down and turning into ashes. Everyone became unsteady on their feet, sliding on the floor until hitting the walls. Todd was the only one who saw Spencer running towards a helicopter.
To stop a sliding helicopter, Spencer stretched out his arms and used his powers to hold it. He jumped in and closed the helicopter door, then he activated the engine. The oil platforms collapsed and began sinking into the sea, causing the helicopter to fall down until the blades started spinning.
As Spencer shut the helicopter doors, he didn’t know Todd was hanging beneath the helicopter skids. He could only figure out what was on the ground and the water. His lips curled into a grin when he noticed piles of corpses and blood contaminated the sea water.
Todd’s arms became stiff and numb when he held the skid for 30 seconds. He felt surprised when he could hold it for so long after training in the prison for only a week. Frightened that he would fall down, he began climbing up to the helicopter doors. When his head emerged from the bottom of the doors, an eerie voice that was not Spencer’s started speaking.
“REACTIVATE THE PYRAMID! REACTIVATE THE PYRAMID! REACTIVATED THE PYRAMID!” Spencer reiterated.
“SLLIIPPP!”
Because of strong winds in mid-air, Todd’s foot slipped and clanked with the helicopter. Immediately, Spencer turned his head and saw Todd outside the door.
“Nice,” a voice inside Spencer said.
After opening the helicopter doors, Spencer didn’t kick Todd out of the helicopter. Instead, he pulled him in and tied him up.
“LET ME FREE!” Todd screamed, flailing his legs.
Spencer’s body started twitching and trembling when a soul-like creature spurt out of his mouth. He fell onto the ground with grey eyes after the creature got out.
“WTFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF IS THAT!” Todd yelled, leaning on the helicopter doors.
“I’LL TAKE OVER YOUR BODY!” the soul-like creature barked.
With no hesitation, the creature flew into Todd’s mouth and down his throat. Todd began twitching and wresting with air using force.
“YOU… CAN’T… CONTROL… M…” Todd panted, still fighting against the creature.
“BOOM!”
Something hit the helicopter. The last image Todd could view was that the helicopter cabin was spinning and spinning, until he blacked out.
