The Baron looked at Égon, who stood still. He slowly removed his fine gloves and then put them back into his bag.
"Let me see..."
He added as he once again looked into his book.
"Alright, adding up the total... And rounding it up... It would be 97."
Égon added as he closed his book and put it back in his pocket.
"Roughly a third of an average Enhanced package..."
"W-wait... 9700?"
The Baron uttered with a shocked expression. His jaw dropped.
"No... why would it be 9700?"
"Then... 97.000?"
"No, 97 Voli in total... I am expensive, but not overly expensive!"
Égon replied and shook his head.
"Then I will be right back."
The Baron replied, and with great speed, he walked away.
"Next time, if you want me to send a secret message, try to act as if you are trying to send a secret message; that way, I won't need to hurry home to watch my favourite show... And to think Cirty even prepared the special ointments for the massage..."
Égon added, trying to instigate the girl's visit. Although his business was booming, he still had a few empty hours each day.
"Yes..."
The girl mumbled. She previously thought that the man before her was just an ordinary man who had been captured, but when he showed how easily he defeated that other elf, she was shocked and realised that looks can be quite deceiving.
She wanted to say something else, but as soon as she opened her mouth, the Baron had already returned. He held a single note in his hand and gave it to Égon. It was a hundred Voli note.

"Let me see if I have enough change... I didn't prepare any change, to be honest..."
Égon replied as he started searching his back for his wallet.
"No, don't worry about it; please keep the change; consider it an extra apology for the misunderstanding."
"Oh, in that case, thank you!"
"Young man... There is something I wanted to ask you."
"What is it? Please make it quick, as my show will start soon."
Égon replied with a sign as he looked at his phone to check the time. He knew he only had twenty minutes till his show started, and he wanted to shower before that as well.
"I will make it quick... You seem to be quite an excellent fighter... Would you be interested in..."
"No, I am a barber, nothing more. I had my fair share of conflicts in my time."
"How did you know what I wanted to ask?"
"No one compliments one fighting capabilities without wanting something. Anyway, I will be going now... If you want to have a real haircut instead of a rescue mission, please do not hesitate to call us! We are open for quite late, depending on the number of clients we have."
With a smile, Égon left. Leaving the father and his daughter alone.
"This man was something else..."
The Baron finally spoke up after a minute of silence. He slowly walked over to the chair and sat down.
"What do you mean, father? I admit that he was quite powerful, but he was arrogant... He was in the presence of a lord, a noble! He didn't even bow!"
"Réna, my dear... You shouldn't talk ill about the one who saved our lives... Although I have no idea what these attackers were after... The whole situation felt weird... Almost as if they only wanted to pressure us instead of get rid of us..."
"Father... What should we do? Shall I send someone to try and pursue this Égon barber guy?"
"Don't even think about it... Take a look at the wall... He didn't seem to put too much power into his punch, yet he sent a man flying across a solid brick wall! For the time being, call your mother and a clean-up crew; I will think about what to do next!"
In the meantime, Égon had already gotten outside. He walked past the still-unconscious group of people and quickly unchained his bike.
In a mere second, he had already started cycling home. Unlike before, he was pedalling fast and got home quite quickly. He parked his bike by the metal pole again, and then he quietly opened the door. Égon was expecting Cirty to be asleep already; he knew she had quite great hearing, which is why he tried to be quiet despite the living quarters being a floor higher.
"You are right on time; you can still shower and eat before your show starts!"
A voice came from beyond the door, which he just barely opened. Égon sighed and then opened the door completely. In the dark, Cirty was sitting on the sofa with a wide smile on her face. Her red eyes glow in the darkness.
"Thanks... but I thought you went to sleep already!"
"Nah, I like that show as well!"
Cirty chuckled lightly as Égon finely stepped inside. He quickly put his bag next to his counter and then stepped beside Cirty. With a smile, he gently patted her head.
"So, how was your extra client?"
"Nah, let's not talk about it; it was quite boring and useless; let's just go up... I am tired! We will pack things out tomorrow morning."
"Alright, if you say so. But tomorrow is Friday, so I hope you have something fun planned for the weekend."
Cirty added with a grin; as soon as Égon took his hand off of her head, she stood up.
"Well, I believe we will be meeting a close friend of mine this weekend."
Égon replied with a smile, and then the two walked upstairs. Égon was still lucky as he could finish showering before his show started, and once it ended, they both went to sleep to prepare for the next day.
