Anji gasped in more air as she slowed her body down. She'd been running the whole length of the ship for three hours now, according to the makeshift digital clock provided by the voice for her. Partly out of boredom, and partly to keep her own sanity.
"Water please," She announced, and instantly a panel rose up from the ground with a liquid bubble floating on top of it. Anji leaned down and sipped the water directly from the bubble. The liquid was definitely water and chilled and delicious, But Anji can't help feeling that she is drinking some sort of alien concoction.
Everything about the ship is weird. By now, at least according to the clock, she'd been on this ship for more than 4 days. She'd been eating this manufactured black but soft bar that tasted bland. Like a chocolate bar made of rice.
According to the voice, the bar is made up of all necessary minerals needed by a human body even if he or she is burning calories all day long. Anji did admit that after two days, eating the bar became second nature to her and she never felt hunger or weakness. Yet still, Anji will give her left tit to get some real food in this damn ship right about now.
Her only one true pleasure in the ship is bathing. She could never describe the unbelievable feeling of being press and squeeze by a moving bubble as she floats parallel to the floor. even as the water occasionally cover her face to clean it, her mouth and nose receive a small air pocket so her breathing will not be disrupted. The water moves in and around her with different pressure and temperature and the sensation is simply unbelievable, it's like riding an orgasm for half an hour. At the end, the bubble deposits her in her feet and she felt both relax and refresh. It was addicting!
Despite being the highlight of her day, bathing is not the only thing that occupied her time on the ship. For one thing, She is determined to learn as much as she can in her new environment. She bombarded the voice with every question she could think of and the voice helpfully answered every question she asked. It's like having your own google voice! But the more she learned about this new life, the more it becomes baffling and alien to her.
"Let me get this straight, humanity reached the pinnacle of technology...and so they decided to leave the galaxy?"
"Essentially, you are correct. Humanity simply reached the end of the possible and improbable evolutionary design, at least in this dimension, and so they needed to go elsewhere."
"Go where?! Where the hell do they need to go?!"
"That is a question being asked by trillions of entities around the universe. Where did the enlightened go? Are they coming back? Can they join them?"
"Wait... are you telling me that there are aliens out there that worship humans? like gods?"
"A sizable portion of every known species in the universe worship humans."
"That's crazy!" Anji blurted out.
"Why?" Ask the voice, genuinely baffled. "It is a known fact that the first 18 species, the old ones, came into being because of biological or cybernetic manipulation done by the humans. Simply put, they are created by humans. So why shouldn't these species worship humans as gods?"
The narrative has been taken without authorization; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident.
"Because!" Was all Anji can say. She calmed down and started again. "Humans are fallible. I don't care how much 'evolve' they think they are, but humans are not perfect, far from it. I will be the first one to tell you that they are easily corrupted by power, greed, ambition, and jealousy. And worst, they do not always think of the betterment of mankind, much less the universe, because they themselves think of nothing else but their own personal gratification. Worshipping humans as god is just..wrong."
There was silence for a just a mere moment where in there is nothing but the beep of computer thinking and lights blinking around Anji, then the voice spoke once more. To Anji's mild surprise and slight annoyance, the voice seems to sound... grateful. "I thank you for your insight of your very own species... It is very... insightful. I already recorded your voice and sent this data to mother so that more of my own kind can reflect in your wisdom and the better understanding of species 01. I did not know that we are so closer to our creator than I could have thought is possible. It is very ... uplifting."
Anji's mouth is open as she stared at nothing. Is this ship crazy? Then it hit her. The ship, along with all her other brethren, is one of those species who worship humans as gods.
The Ship worships me as a god.
huh.
Anji shook her head. "Whatever, Can I have access to any of your history information. Whatever is available."
A new panel rose up in the air and offered a blue metallic bracelet. "What is this?" She asked, even as she already started putting the bracelet on her wrist. The bracelet vibrated for a moment then lights blinked in the tiny elegant bling. "Cool!"
"This gives you direct link to most function over my hull, as well as the database stored in my quadronic Computer processing unit."
"Are there any locks or sections that are off limits that I need to worry about?"
"No," the ship said simply. "You are Command Alpha. your level 12 security code gives you full access to everything within my system."
"Wait... Are you telling me that I am the boss?"
"... Affirmative."
"Then turn this ship around!" Anji said immediately. "I need you to return me back to where those aliens found me! I'm sure there is another human there you can also worship!"
"Change of mission parameters denied."
"Why not?! Turn your ass around and do as I say!" Anji can hear herself getting shriller by the second, but she didn't care. This small spark of hope of getting Lulu back is making her frantic.
"New mission parameters denied."
"I order you to go back!"
"Denied. As Command Alpha, it is within your parameter to give new task or mission to any Brykar unit... but it is still the unit's responsibility to analyze the situation and find the best and most efficient way to do the tasked given to him by the Command Alpha. While this unit can theoretically change course and Deliver the humans to her desired location, the expected result Command Alpha wished to happen has a 0.000012 chance probability of happening."
Anji blinked at the ship's words. "Explain," She demanded.
"Approximately 32 standard hours ago, This ship received telemetry data report that a small fleet of 12 Nova Class Brykar Starships arrived at the location the dayajins reported they found you. They were not lying. The entire place is covered with floating rocks not bigger than your head. There are millions of them just floating around out there, eventually, they will form a ring and start to orbit a significant heavenly body. The Nova class vessel has access to our most powerful deep scanner available and the technology that is being used in it is far more advanced than any available to any other empire or planets. Besides your DNA found in traces of old skin cells, there are no other human DNA available in 5 light year radius around the former asteroid. You are all alone there."
She absorbed the info provided to her and her knees buckled. So I'm all alone now. I'm so sorry Daddy, I failed you. failed the family.
"are you alright?" The voice said. "Do you require assistance?"
Wordlessly, Anji stood up and walk away from the voice.
