“Yep, to the Adventurers Guild”

Royce replies while putting on his coat and the mask as both him and Tori makes their way to the one building standing at the end of the road

The more they get closer the more supply shops start popping up

From groceries to potions from armors to blades until they reached the end where the guild was

Royce opens the door to the guild to see many adventurers

Some big some small, some more brutish than others but all laughing and having a good time with each other

Royce and Tori both get to the counter and the room turns silent as everyone starts mumbling to each other seeing the once celebrated adventurer return to the guild

Royce slides his guild card and the counter woman looks to up to see Tori standing there and gasps

Royce sighs

“Guess she is a pretty big deal”

Tori smiles and replies

“I’m here to help my student get into the guild, all the documents are already here and he’s already registered, You just need to get his image onto the card and for the guild records”

The counter woman looks over at Royce

“He’s the student I assume?”

Tori replies

“Yep, been in training for the past 15 years so he’s pretty capable”

Counter woman replies

“Alright mister, let’s get you started, come to the back so we can get you examined and take your prints and other stuff”

Royce nods and follows her to the back into a marble tiled room with a pedestal holding an orb in the middle, the women asks him

“Would you please put your hand on the orb so we can start the process”

“Also please look forward at the red dot on the wall”

Royce puts his hand on the orb making it light up and which slowly breaks down into 6 different lights

He thinks to himself while looking at the red dot in front

“My magic affinity?… Fire, Water, Wind, Earth… and… Gravity and Sound? Guess it also records the advance stages”

The room glows a little before the woman continues

“That should be it”

“Please go to the front and we’ll get your card in no time”

Royce nods again and leaves to go to the front

“That was easy… Well zero paperwork is always easy… anyway where’s Tori”

Royce gets out of the backroom and looks around for Tori before bumping into a massive guy

“Ah, Sorry.”

The guy looks down and replies

“It’s fine little one… are you new here?”

“Haven’t seen you around”

Royce replies

“Yep, I just finished registering and was looking for my teacher”

The big guy replies

“Oh? And who’s this teacher of yours?”

Royce replies

“Oh she’s an adventurer named T-”

Tori interrupts their conversation

“Adventurer named Tori Silverrose”

The Guy looks behind to see Tori standing there smiling

“YOU?! BACK AT THE GUILD?!”

Everyone looks at the guy and Tori as she replies to Royce

“Well guess you met one other member of the Ascendants”

The guy laughs

“Ah yes the good ol’ days”

“Anyway how come you quit adventuring for babysitting job”

Tori sits down at a table near her followed by the guy and Royce

“Well… I was made an offer and I just couldn’t refuse… But well… what goes around comes around, So here I am back at it again with my little friend”

Royce Sighs

“I’m not little for the sake of all that’s good”

The Guy replies

“Ah I Forgot I haven’t Introduced myself”

“I’m Thorgrim the Giant… or well half Dwarf and half Orc… The giant’s just the name I got from adventuring, You can just call me Thor though.”

Royce bows and replies

“I’m Royce El…Uhh…Just R-”

Tori leans over to Thor and whispers

“He’s the son of Beth”

Thor surprised by what he just heard leans over to Royce

“Little man this old elf just said you’re the Son of Beth? Is that true or has old age already gotten a hold of this old woman”

Royce chuckles and replies

“Yep… Well you were in a party with father so I guess I could’ve told you this”

“She’s right”

Tori yells at Thor

“I’M NOT OLD YOU FUCKING BRUTE!!”

Royce chuckles and thinks to himself

“This reminds me of some certain gods”

Thor laughs and replies

“Well you still got the hearing so guess not”

The counter woman comes out of the backroom and comes up to Royce

“There you go little one everything’s done now you’re an adventurer”

“You’ve to complete 5 quests in this one week or else your license for being an adventurer will get revoked and you’ll have to do the entire process again”

“But once you’re done you’ll the proper card so you can continue being an adventurer and since you’re already an E rank you won’t have to worry about quotas”

Royce nods and gets up followed by Tori advising

“Well you gotta do your first few quest on your own so take some gathering quests with your Insight it should be easy for you to finish them before dawn”

“I’ll be here with Thor catching up on things”

Royce nods and makes his way to the quest board

“The fuck… There’s barely anything here… Cleaning… Rat Infestation… More cleaning… and yep…”

“Is that it?”

Royce gets to the counter woman and asks her

“Uhh miss? Are there any other quests than those on the board?”

The woman replies

“Oh yes, I forgot to tell you about this, You can get all the various jobs available to you if you put some magic into your Adventurers ID”

“Also if there are special requests for you they should show up in a notification on your status screen”

“Now go ahead and explore the world like you’ve always dreamt of”
