Chapter Three: Out Exploring

Chapter Three: Out Exploring

Mackenzie re-entered the town of Killien again.

Some of the people looked liked they went through a battle where they did and some mutants dragged some of the citizens off somewhere.

"We cannot keep this up with the mutants that attack us!" said a citizen, "They come and drag whoever they want away!"

Mackenzie replied, "Where? Where did they take them?"

"To a old prison eight miles east of here!" said the person

Mackenzie replied, "Don't worry I'll get them back!"

A African-American woman walked up to Mackenzie

"Are you out of your fucking mind? You'll be killed!" said the woman

Mackenzie replied, "Well someone got to save them or let them die or become mutants."

"It's your funeral," said the African-American woman, "If you die none of us will weep for you,"

I wonder how mutants are made? Mackenzie thought, Are the men forced to impregnate the female mutants while the male mutants forcefully impregnate female humans? Oh God I wish that didn't pop into my head.

Mackenzie then went to a bar.

"Hey everybody!" said Mackenzie, "I'm looking for some people to come with me to the old prison that's east of here to break out the captives!"

Everybody told her that she's nuts so she left the bar.

"Hey I overheard you're looking for people to go to the old prison," said a brunette Caucasian woman, "Is it okay if I tag along?"

Mackenzie replied, "Sure. No one else wants to do it!"

The woman grabbed her M1894 lever-action rifle

"Anything you can tell me about the prison?" asked Mackenzie

The woman replied, "Concrete walls, brick buildings and very sharp wires on the walls. The mutants moved in after a previous group of settlers back in 2014 moved in and made it home but their was in fighting and constant bickering where when the mutants came everyone was killed. That was a century ago though,"

Mackenzie replied, "What's your name?"

"Bittercup," said the woman, "You?"

Mackenzie replied, "Mackenzie. Why do they call you Bittercup?"

"Long story short," said Bittercup in a bitter tone, "I was fourteen when I had my first baby. Mutants came my baby boy was eaten by the mutants and my boyfriend was dragged off by the mutants either be become one of them or to die. That's why they call me Bittercup because I've been bitter about it for the past thirteen years,"

Mackenzie replied sorrorfully, "I'm sorry that you lost your baby and boyfriend. Honestly I am sorry. I know how it feels to lose someone. I lost my nephew on my watch and I tried to save him but no avail,"

The two women just kept walking without saying anything else.

At the old prison they hid behind a old M151 Jeep.

Wonder what's with the tents, Mackenzie thought, Wonder with the military vehicles and all that

Mackenzie also seen a tattered U.S. Flag still flying in the wind.

They walked into the main parking lot and found a working computer in a tent and Mackenzie accessed it and opened a log.

May 14th, 1979- I can't believe that they did it! Those Third Reich bastards did it! They let the A-Bombs fly and the Nuclear ICMB's fly as well! I hope my sisters are safe! I've heard that Crossville, Chattanooga, Knoxville, and Cookeville, Tennessee were hit repeatedly by the nukes! Oh God! My brothers are over in Europe! People have been arriving here in droves and we don't have enough medical supplies to help them. We only have one hundred and fifty M16A1's, fifteen M60's, and thirty-three M14 Rifles. Our medic only has a M1911A1 but has all of our medical supplies. We're going to be busy for a long time. This is Sergeant Carrie Lola of the 473rd Brigade Support Battalion, Detachment 1, Company A. God bless America if America even exists anymore,"

Mackenzie then got off the computer and found a M14 rifle on a rack so she got it and found a ammo box with twelve magazines. She also found a hip-pouch that says "AHP" or Alabama Highway Patrol. She placed the magazines for the rifle into the hip pouch. She also found a note.

"These home made hip pouches would help us carry stuff easily. Like loose bullets and other useful stuff like band aids- Lieutenant Samson Born."

Mackenzie then found a dark olive green butt pack and a dark olive green lightweight rucksack.

They passed rusted cars, police cars, and military vehicles even a M551 Sheridan Armored Reconnaissance/Airborne Assault Vehicle.

The two entered the prison.

Inside the prison it's poorly lit.

"What's that?" asked Mackenzie

Mackenzie then went over to the bag and opened it.

"It's a gore bag," said Bittercup, "It's a makeshift wire bag serving as mesh netting filled with blood, bones and other stuff,"

"Eww!" said Mackenzie

She then wiped her hands onto her clothing and readied her rifle.

They walked through out the prison but it was creepy but soon saw some mutants. They were eight-ten feet tall, all dark yellow, and talk in a rough voice.

Bittercup shot at one with her rifle which lead Mackenzie to join in on the shooting. Their gunfire attracted other mutants and they're armed with different weapons. Not adding they were harder to take down but they were able to kill them.

They entered the infirmary and it was just horrifying. They seen bones and recent deceased female bodies with giant bleeding holes where the they gave birth. But what they gave birth too is a mystery to them and don't want to know.

They just continued and found themselves in a big room filled with skeletons or living people. They opened the cells of the living people and they opened the cells and more mutants came out. They killed the mutants but found out that headshots do better work.

They saved who they could but a lot died from the mutants and some went back to the town where they were captured from.

Okay even though we went about a football field into the prison, Mackenzie thought, If I saw that then I don't want to know what else I'll experience out here! Besides those mutant spiders I was told about!

Both Bittercup and Mackenzie roamed the Alabama wasteland and saw relics of the past such as destroyed Panzerkampfwager E-100's and Panzer and a few destroyed Panzerkampfwagen VII for the Third Reich and destroyed M60 Pattons, M155 Sheridan's and M103 Heavy Tanks from the U.S Military which are relics from the Battle for the United States from June 6, 1960-August 1st, 1960 where the U.S. States of Maine, New Hampshire, Massachutes, Delaware, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia, North and South Carolina, Georgia, Florida, Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, Texas, California, Oregon, Washington, and Alaska.

"Do you know what happened here?" asked Bittercup, "Because I sure don't!"

Mackenzie replied, "Yes I do. On June 6th, 1960. The Third Reich launched a surprised naval invasion on the United States and every state along the coast line got hit by the Third Reich. But us in the Alabama wasteland. On that day the German 416th Infantry, 552nd Grenadier Division, 719th Infantry Division, 11th Marine Division, 11th Fallschirmajger Division, 12th SS Division and 29th SS Division. They invaded this state. It was a long fifty-five days in the old world. But after nineteen years of combat all bets were off and nuclear war. D.C. Had it worst with the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 7th, and 9th Fallschimjager Divisions and the 4th SS Division invading it. I got a story if you want to hear it?"

"Got nothing better to do," said Bittercup, "Sure tell me the story,"
