CHAPTER 4841
Sancho sighed sorrowfully. Suddenly, he caught a glimpse of Livie standing beside James, and his brows subconsciously furrowed.
Zeno noticed something off with his expression and asked,” What’s wrong? Have you seen her before? Do you know her?”
“I know her very well.” Sancho’s face was full of anger, and his voice became hostile.
“She’s one of the Three Extraterrestrial Demon Commanders who took many lives. Wynne gave it his all and sacrificed his life to injure her.”
Livie inched over to James, tugged on his robe, and whispered, “I’m scared. I can sense his murderous intent. I don’t want to stay here anymore. Let’s quickly leave this place.”
James gently waved his hand, signaling Livie not to worry.
Zeno looked at Livie. He never expected her to be a leader of the Extraterrestrial Demons in her past life, nor did he know that Wynne sacrificed himself just to injure her.
Sancho continued, saying, “After she was injured, Emperor Raiah captured her. However, her wounds were severe, and she died shortly after. Although she had passed, her physical body was potent. Even Emperor Raiah wasn’t capable of destroying her corpse. Back then, he was focused on completely wiping out the Extraterrestrial
Demons and didn’t have time to dispose of her body. Thus, his subordinates sealed her away in case she were to awaken again.”
“Where did Emperor Raiah go?” asked Zeno.
Sancho explained, “The Extraterrestrial Demon’s Great Commander fled after he was injured. Their troops also withdrew from the battle. Emperor Raiah chased after him but never returned. I’ve no idea what happened next.”
While speaking, Sancho began to fade, and his voice became faint.
Soon, his faint image disappeared, and the skeleton crumbled into dust.
James looked at Zeno and said, “I didn’t expect you to be a Rune Arts Grandmaster and a subordinate of Emperor Raiah.”
Suddenly, Sancho’s voice rang in the hall once again. “A portion of your soul was extracted, Zeno. If I’m not wrong, it was taken by the Extraterrestrial Demon’s Great
Commander. You’ll have to retrieve your soul to recover your strength to its prime.”
His voice gradually weakened, and his last few words were almost inaudible.
After Sancho disappeared, Zeno slumped to the ground grievingly.
James looked at him and asked, “What now? Sancho’s has revealed Livie’s origin. She’s one of the Extraterrestrial
Demons’ commanders. Should we kill her or let her live?”
Livie immediately took a few steps backward in fear and looked at James with teary eyes.
Zeno returned to his senses and said, ‘That was in the past. She’s no longer one of the Extraterrestrial Demons’ commanders. Her new identity is Livie Caden. It was you who gave her a soul and life.”
James’ brows furrowed.
Although Zeno was right, Livie’s body still belonged to an Extraterrestrial Demon. He was worried trouble would arise in the future if he kept her near.
Livie knelt to the ground after sensing James’ murderous intent.
“Master, it was you who had given me life. If it’s your decision to take it, I will accept my fate.”
Zeno advised James, saying, “I suggest you spare her life. Although she was an Extraterrestrial Demon, she no longer has her full powers. You’re completely able to suppress her. Moreover, I can sense that Emperor Raiah didn’t completely wipe out the Extraterrestrial Demons that infiltrated the Endlos. Unfortunately, I haven’t completely recovered my memories and don’t remember much about the Extraterrestrial Demons. Keeping her around may prove to be useful in the future.” Text © 2024 .
James took a deep breath. He walked over to Livie, supported her, and said, ‘You’re fine now. Get up.”
Livie stood up with her head lowered to the ground, not daring to meet James’ gaze.
“I better get going,” said Zeno.
James asked, “Where are you planning to go?”
Zeno vanished, but his voice echoed in the hall. “I’d like to follow in Emperor Raiah’s footsteps. I’ll take my leave first. Let’s meet again one day.”
