She woke up unnaturally for the first time. She could feel erratic signals of urgency coming through her connection to her Swarmer's. Focusing her mind, using her electrical capabilities to see through the eyes of one of her Swarmer's she found that the front of the cave was under attack. She began to move through the tunnel to see for herself what was happening.

When she got to the end of the tunnel and look around in the front area of the cave she saw ten winged insects inside and they had just started fighting with the seven Swarmer's, all flying in the air. Not wanting to lose any one of her Swarmer's she immediately joined the battle herself.

She immediately ordered all her swarmer's to fall back slightly and then used her antennae to send out electromagnetic signals to overload and stun two of the winged insects. Once she did that and they were stunned she ordered four Swarmer's to go forward and had two of them sting one of the winged insects each while the other two deterred any other winged insects from coming forward however just as the two stung winged insects fell to the floor of the cave unconscious the other eight winged insects came forward and attacked. 

In response to their charge she ordered the four who came forward to retreat to and join back with the other three. The eight winged insects still charged forward, it seems there is nothing directly control over them leaving them near mindless. Seeing this she decided to stay how she was controlling the seven Swarmer's and ordered them go on the offensive as it was now seven against eight. 

As the Swarmer's moved forward to fight on her command she used her electromagnetic capabilities to stun one of the winged insects and then ordered the Swarmer to sting it making it fall unconscious. Now the fight was seven vs seven. She quickly stunned another winged insect with her electromagnetic field and it then got knocked out with sedative venom from a Swarmer's stinger. Now the fight was seven vs six she decided to come forward and kill the four unconscious winged insects while the fight in the air happened. 

Moving forward she bit off and ate the heads of the four winged insects on the floor without interruption due to the intense fighting in the air and the enemy being outnumbered. 

Now she took to the air and joined the battle herself, flying up she flew behind a winged insect and bit off one of its wings, it fell lopsidedly onto the floor below. Another winged insect fell to the floor unconscious at the same time, from an attack by two swarmer's. She immediately dived back down to the ground and stung the one-winged insect knocking it out and then she bit its head off and ate and then did the same to the unconscious winged insect.

Now that it was seven vs four she decided to have the Swarmer's live up to their name and just swarm the winged insects. They were quickly finished off. 

[Eat] She ordered the seven Swarmer's, they went forward and each ate one of the seven winged insect corpses. She then had the them drag the other three corpses back to the back area of the cave.

[Guard] She ordered the Swarmer's, wanting them to guard the front area of the cave. She had successfully held off one attack from the winged insects, but she knew that was not all of them. She needed to get increase her species numbers and make them and herself stronger. 

She sat there in waiting for about two hours, until something entered the cave. It was a squishy long thing that slitered across the ground, a slug. Just as she was about to order an attack on it two more entered the cave, right after that she ordered the attack. 

The seven Swarmer's ran up to the three worms and overran the slow creatures, they were very frail and had no method to fight and therefore died quickly. She quickly ordered for the three corpes to be brought to near the tunnel entrance. 

She went with the Swarmer's who dragged the corpes and once they put them down and left, she went towards one of the corpses and began eating it head first. She didnt't continue eating after she ate one of the three slugs and just stayed with the other two corpses and didn't add them to either of the main piles, keeping them for herself.

The children were capable of their own basic thought so she decided to let them go about their business of eating and guarding. She decided to plan how to gain total control over the cave.

Two full days passed as she planned, ate, slept and waited. Finally the eight eggs that were laid by her and the one Spawner were starting to crack and hatch. She also ate the other two slugs but felt no change like when she ate the winged insects and evolved. It didn't seem like she loss anything though. 

The eggs all split around the same time and she ordered them all to eat and evolve, six into Swarmer's and two into a creature that was larvae-like but had the winged insects arms and legs, she called it a Drone, a mindless creature made entirely for working on basic tasks like gathering and cleaning. It had no capabilities except for being able to send and recieve electromagnetic signals and fields. 

She had the two Drone's organise the food piles in a corner in the small back area of the cave. She also had the six new Swarmer's join in guarding the cave. 

She wanted to see what was outside the cave, eventually they would run out of food and would need to go find more and she also needed to further her evolution and that of her species. But first she would wait a bit longer in the cave as it was a safe place for her and children now and they still had some food supply and creatures would come in the cave.

Thinking this she thought it would be better to have the guards hide while also being able see around the cave, this way creatures would enter the cave as they see it as empty.

She waited for a day there was still no creatures coming into the cave. So she was beginning to think of going outside for the first time. She did not know what would be out there but she would need to go out eventually so she should just go now. She could just send a Swarmer out and see through its eyes by 'listening in on' the electronic signals of its brain. 

However first she needed to prepare some things before she would see what was outside. If there was a danger out there she needed to prepare and then find it and assess it. She wanted and needed to see what was outside but she didn't want too many risks to herself or her children.

So she began to prepare for her objective of seeing what was outside.
