Waking up I start out with looking around myself. To my left is a desk, my right Shia. Getting up from the bed, I walk out of the room waiting for Shia to wake up.

I sit in the room that we ate in last night.

Boring 〜

Feeling bored waiting, I slowly crawl onto the table in the room. Laying on the table, I find a comfortable positon and fall asleep.

Feeling someone touching my body, I jolt awake. 

Looking around I see Shia smiling lightly at me.

“Why are you sleeping on the table?” (Shia)

Shia says with a slight giggle. 

“B-because, I was bored!” (Me)

“What does sleeping on a table have to do with getting bored?” (Shia)

“S-so? When are we going to the guild?” (Me)

Skillfully switching the conversation towards another direction, I look towards Shia who looks at me with a slight smirk.

“I just finished eating, so we can go now. Is that fine with you?” (Shia)

“Haaai〜“ (Me)

Agreeing with Shia, we walk towards the guild.

After a few minutes, we reach the guild.

“I will go to work. You can go see if there is any quests that you want to try” (Shia)

“Okay〜” (Me)

Waving at Shia’s leaving figure, I make my way towards the guilds quest board.

The quest board in front of me is filled with all kinds of quests. From subjugating monsters to collecting herbs.

Moving towards the area of the quest board that is for people with the Trainee rank, I slowly look through the request to find a suitable one.

[Cleaning: Clean the rooms at The Happy Chicken. Reward: 2 silver]

[Subjugation: Subjugate 10 Ice Rabbits and bring the gems that drop. Reward 10 silver]

Most of the request was either cleaning or subjugating weak monsters just outside the city wall. The rabbit subjugation was to my liking, so I took the quest down and walked towards the line for accepting quests.

The line was long, I look toward Shia’s line. Shia is reading a book while eating something, I look at the guild employee in this line. She is hurrying around and looks stressed.

Shia… Do your job!

Sending an angry gaze towards Shia who is being lazy, I continue to wait my turn.

After a good half hour, it is finally my turn. I go up. The stressed woman asks me to show my adventure card, I show it. The quest is registered in my name. I walk outside.

“Well that was simple…” (Me)

Walking outside I look back towards the guild. Not knowing why I have a feeling, I was expecting more from the stressed woman for some reason. Feeling down, I walk towards the gate to complete my quest.

Coming to the gate, I see Dave lazing around with some other guards. It reminds me of Shia.

Walking towards the gate Dave calls out to me.

“Hey little girl. Where are you going” (Dave)

For some reason, I do not feel so good all of a sudden. Taking out the quest I took, I show it to Dave.

“Rabbits? Huh… try and go 2 miles west towards The Great Rabbit Planes, there should be a lot of rabbits in that direction. Just remember not going too far into The Great Rabbit Planes. The core parts of that place is considered a place that even Gold Knights don’t dare to take lightly” (Dave)

Nodding to Dave I make my way towards The Great Rabbit Planes.

Rabbits are more dangerous than I thought. Huh〜

After walking for some time, I can see a seemingly endless plane spread out in front of me. Rabbits are jumping here and there. There is many kinds of rabbits. Rabbits with horns. Rabbits with wings. Rabbits breathing fire and many more kinds.

Looking towards The Great Rabbit Planes I breathe in a mouthful of fresh air, before starting my search for white rabbits.

I search everywhere before finally finding a white rabbit. It is small and cute, but I will not let its appearance fool me! Just before, I saw the little white rabbit breathing out an icicle killing a fire breathing rabbit with ease.

Wondering how to defeat such a strong foe, I sit down by a nearby bush to gather my thoughts for now.

It can shoot ice out of its mouth… How do I count it? I can shoot a mana bolt out of my hand… Can’t I just attack before it sees me? What a great plan me. Thanks you me. Now let us begin this perfect plan of mine.

Having thought up an outstanding plan I slowly move closer to the white rabbit.

Hiding behind a bush near the rabbit, I slowly peek out of the bush. Gathering mana in my hand, I slowly move into range of the rabbit.

Gathering my mana, I shoot a bolt of mana towards the rabbit.

The rabbit seeing the mana bolt flying towards it tries to dodge it. Sadly, it does not have enough time to dodge and is hit by the mana bolt.

Falling to the ground the white rabbit fights to stand up again, but the next moment another mana bolt comes flying from the side.

Trying to fight the mana bolt, the white rabbit fires an icicle against it. The Icicle and mana bolt clashes and cancel each other out, but just as the rabbit thinks it survived another mana bolt comes.

With a weak squeaking sound, the rabbit lets out its last breath.

So white rabbit is ice rabbit?

Realizing white rabbit was more than just a normal rabbit, I start to wonder how many rabbits exist in this world.

Looking at the rabbit it slowly starts to become floating lights disappearing in front of me. From the floating lights, a small blue gem is created where the rabbit was just a moment ago.

Going forwards, I pick up the little blue gem. Not knowing where to put it, I just hold it in my hand and move on.

Walking in The Great Rabbit Planes, I see many kinds of rabbits I didn’t think existed.

Along the way, I killed another five rabbits. Looking at my Exp I am almost lv 3. Other than that, my mana bolt also leveled up to 3.

I only need to kill another four rabbits to complete my first quest now. Looking around myself I sadly can’t see any white rabbits only a few winged rabbits and one fire breathing rabbit.

Just as I thought there were not any white rabbits, I see one in the distance.

Finding prey, I run after it.

It looks like it saw me and is running away from me, but I am faster than the rabbit so I am gaining on it. With time, I should be able to catch it.

The rabbit moves up and down hills and we keep running like this for a few minutes before the white rabbit comes to a halt in front of a lake. Thinking it has given up, I fire a mana bolt after it. It responds with shooting an icicle intercepting the mana bolt, but I quickly shoot another two mana bolts after it.

The rabbit is hit by one of the mana bolts and lays weakly on the ground in front of me.

“Hehe your mine now little one” (Me)

Letting out a creepy laugh I slowly move closer to the rabbit while gathering mana for another mana bolt.

Just as I shoot the mana bolt towards the little white rabbit an icicle unexpectedly comes towards my mana bolt intercepting it.

Looking towards the origin of the icicle, I see a heroic looking white rabbit standing on top of a stone making a grand entrance.

The rabbit laying weakly on the ground makes a few weak squeaking sounds towards the heroic rabbit.

The heroic looking rabbit makes an angry gesture towards me. Faster than I can think the heroic looking rabbit charges towards me with a speed that is much faster than the other white rabbits.

Firing off 3 mana bolts the heroic rabbit responds with 3 icicle intercepting the mana bolts.

Not expecting the mana bolts to be intercepted, I am hit by the heroic rabbit that was charging towards me.

Feeling the pain in my stomach, I let go of the blue gems in my hand and look towards the heroic rabbit that has distanced itself from me.

I can’t beat that rabbit like this, I need something else…

Gathering my mana again, I shoot 3 mana bolts after the rabbit again. This time however I destroy the mana bolts letting the mana reform into a cluster of small mana bolts that rain down on the shocked heroic rabbit.

Feeling drained from using my new skill I look towards the remaining white rabbit. Using the last of my mana, I condense a mana bolt and finishes it off.

Picking up the blue gems, I sit down on the ground. Taking out my flute, I start to play it to recover my mana and health. After playing for half an hour, I recovered completely. My flute skill also went up by one level.

Standing up again, I walk back towards the city. Even though I did not enter that deep into The Great Rabbit Planes, just entering a little bit of it is already so dangerous.

After returning to the edge of The Great Rabbit Planes, I kill the remaining two rabbits needed for the quest before walking back towards the city.

When I reached the gate, I see Dave talking to someone sitting in a carriage. Dave looks respectful and looks polite.

After finishing, the carriage drives into the city and Dave finally notices me.

“Ah, little girl your back. Did you complete the quest?” (Dave)

“Y-yes. B-by the way who was the person in the carriage a while ago?” (Me)

Asking Dave who the person from before was he freezes for a moment. After standing still doing nothing for the next few minutes I walk towards him and start poking.

After poking him in the eyes, he lets out small scream before glaring at me.

“ARGH! W-why did you poke my eyes?” (Dave)

“Because you froze!” (Me)

I clarify myself that it was the right thing to do and give Dave an innocent look.

“Okay then. The person from before was the city lord. I just forgot that you were new here. Everyone in this city knows of the city lord. The reason for that is simple.

He was an adventure of the Protector rank before becoming city lord. He is also very friendly towards the citizen of the city and does not abuse his power, so the citizen like him a lot” (Dave)

Dave explains.

“Huh… He is strong and popular. By the way, what do you think of him? The city lord that is” (Me)

“Of course I also think that he is awesome. I really want to be like him. Ahhh… Protector rank adventures are all strong. He is also really good looking, so he is popular with the ladies” (Dave)

Feeling creeped out by the look of admiration in Dave’s eyes I slip into the city while he look away.

That was way too much admiration for another man, Dave. You really need to calm a little down, maybe find a hobby?

Thinking a few weird things about Dave, I move towards the guild to complete my quest.

On the way to the guild, I once again spot the carriage from before entering a big mansion in the distance.

Ignoring I move towards the guild once again.

After another few minutes of traveling, I reach the guild.

Outside the guild, people have started to gather for some reason. Moving towards the guild, I see Shia standing with an annoyed look on her face.

Moving towards Shia I wave at her.

Noticing me Shia gestures me to come over to her.

“What is all the commotion about?” (Me)

Puzzled by the swarm of people gathering outside the adventure guild, I ask Shia.

“The city lord is coming to complete a quest. Every damn time that bastard comes by a swarm of people follows! Do you know how annoying it is with all these people blocking the entrance to the guild? What about other adventures? How are they going to enter the guild with this swarm outside blocking the entrance? Look over there” (Shia)

Shia says and points towards a person with armor on and a sword. He is walking towards the swarm. He tries to move through the swarm. No use. He tries to make people move. He gets ignored. He tries to force his way through. The entire swarm pushes him back. The adventure lets out a defeated sigh and walks away.

Looking at this sight, I can’t help but mutter to myself.

“I feel sorry for you fellow adventure. May the swarm perish” (Me)

“Did you say anything?” (Shia)

“N-no” (Me)

Avoiding Shias gaze I try to change the topic.

“S-so do you know where I can enter and complete my quest?” (Me)

“Yeah. Just follow me, we will enter from a backdoor behind the guild” (Shia)

Following behind Shia, we enter the guild from a backdoor. Inside the guild, there is not many people. Only adventures are in here. Not any of the people from outside.

Heaving a sigh of relief I send a graceful look towards Shia, who just smiles at me in return.

Leaving Shia behind I move towards the line for completing a quest.

After waiting in line for a few minutes, I get my reward, which is 10 silver.

Leaving the guild through the same backdoor I entered from I leave the guild behind. Today I got 10 silver from the quest I completed and I know just where to use it.

Walking towards a weapon shop in the adventure district, I enter the shop and look for the weapon I saw back when I explored the city.

A double-edged short sword that is no more than 22 cm in length. The price for the short sword is only 8 silver, so without waiting I buy myself my first weapon.

Leaving the weapon shop behind I walk towards Shias house.

Sneaking in through an open window, I enter Shias house.

Feeling tired with all the things that happen today I go back to my room and throw myself into the bed before slowly falling asleep.
