Chapter 3: Goblin Potions

Chapter 3

As Jennifer slowly regained consciousness, she realized that she was confined in a cramped cage that barely accommodated her size.

The cage was placed inside a spacious tent, illuminated by dim lanterns that flickered eerily, casting strange shadows on the walls. To her horror, Jennifer noticed that she was not alone; there were other trapped animals in the tent, including the very rabbit she was hunting earlier. As she tried to make sense of her surroundings, a nauseating smell of roasted meat wafted towards her, and she spotted a group of goblins cooking over a large firepit, their grotesque faces twisted in wicked grins as they planned their next meal.

She tried to move, but the cage was too small, and she couldn't get out. Jennifer turned to the rabbit and tried to communicate with it.

"Hello there, little one," she said, hoping the rabbit could understand her. "Are you okay?"

The rabbit looked at her with fear in its eyes, but after a few moments, it seemed to calm down. Jennifer realized that she could talk with the rabbit.

"My name is Jennifer," she said, "What's your name?"

The rabbit hesitated at first but then said, "I don't have a name, but you can call me rabbit."

Jennifer replied, "What? That's not a name. Everyone needs a name, how about we give you a better one. Hmmm... you look like a Rachel. What do you think?"

I'm that moment, the rabbit felt a surge of power as it was given a name.

"I'm a Rachel! She said with excitement.

Jennifer explained what had happened and apologized to Rachel. They realized that they were in big trouble, and needed to escape, and fast before the goblins decided to make skewers out of them.

As Jennifer and Rachel talked, they realized that they could help each other. Jennifer was smart and sneaky, while Rachel quick and agile. Together, they could make a formidable team.

Jennifer undid the simple locks while Rachel kept an eye on the goblins. With Rachel her side, Jennifer felt more confident, and she knew they could take on whatever challenges lay ahead.

Suddenly Jennifer's ability activated, Pack Tactics; it gave all party members a 10% boost to all their stats.

Jennifer and Rachel found themselves in the midst of a goblin camp, searching for a way out. They could hear the sounds of goblin chatter and the clanging of weapons in the distance. As they made their way through the maze of tents and crude structures, they stumbled upon a small storage room.

Inside the room, they found an array of magical potions, each with its unique properties. Some glimmered with a soft blue light, while others hummed with a powerful energy. Rachel's keen eyes caught sight of a shiny sword that sparkled in the dim light. Jennifer saw an staff and immediately took it, knowing that they were going to need every advantage they could get.

Jennifer carefully examined the room, taking note of the weapons and potions they could use to their advantage. Rachel picked up a potion and started drinking it. Jennifer tried to stop her, but she was too late. Rachel finished drinking the mysterious potion.

"Ah, that was refreshing. Hey look, I gained +15 magic attack." Rachel said happily.

That's when Jennifer understood what the potions were.

"I never thought I'd say this but let's drink all these random vials."

As they started to drink the potions, they could feel the power coursing through their veins. Rachel felt stronger and more nimble, while Jennifer felt more attuned to magic. Finally, together, Jennifer and Rachel dashed outside.

As Jennifer and Rachel stepped outside, they saw a horde of goblins coming their way. Jennifer raised her staff and aimed it at the goblins. The staff shot a blast of icy magic and it hit the ground, creating a slippery surface that caused the goblins to stumble and fall. Rachel took advantage of their confusion and charged at the goblins, using his tackle ability to knock them down. Jennifer continued to shoot ice magic, holding the goblins in place and preventing them from getting up. The battle was intense, but Jennifer and Rachel fought with all their might. They worked seamlessly together, taking down goblins left and right. With every successful attack, they grew stronger and more confident. Finally, the last goblin fell to the ground, defeated. Jennifer and Rachel looked at each other, their hearts racing with adrenaline. They had survived their first battle together.

As they caught their breath, they heard the sound of goblin war drums in the distance. More goblins were coming, and they were coming fast. Jennifer and Rachel looked at each other, fear and determination in their eyes.

They could feel their strength waning, and they knew they were in trouble. They had used up all of their potions, and their magical effects were fading fast. The goblins kept coming, and it seemed like there was no end to them.

Jennifer and Rachel fought with all their might, but it was a losing battle. They were outnumbered and outmatched. Just when it seemed like all was lost, Jennifer had an idea.

She quickly whispered to Rachel, and they both nodded in agreement. Jennifer used her last bit of magic to create an ice path in front of them, and Rachel climbed on Jennifer's back.

"Here goes nothing!" Jennifer said with determination.

She pushed herself as hard and she could and slid through the ice.

The goblins were caught off guard, and Jennifer and Rachel managed to slip through their ranks. They ran as fast as they could, their hearts pounding with fear and adrenaline. They could hear the goblins chasing after them, but they didn't look back. They had to keep moving forward.

Jennifer and Rachel ran through the woods, dodging spears and arrows. They could feel their energy draining, but they didn't stop. They knew that if they did, the goblins would catch them. Eventually after what felt like hours, the goblins were nowhere to bee seen.

Jennifer finally stopped running as her stamina ran out and she collapsed from exhaustion.
