After thinking for a moment. Veldora finally decided upon what to call her. In the coolest way he could imagine, trying to make himself look cool while doing it, he says. "You will be, Andromeda Tempest."
Andromeda then said, "Thank you, Veldora."
As she spoke, a shimmering light shrouded both of them. Andromeda felt her new name etching itself into her soul. Other than the name, she felt nothing. Establishing a name as equals required no magicules, and shared no magicules.
As the shimmering shroud faded, Andromeda started to ask, "So... how exactly were you sealed? I want to help any way I can."
Veldora nodded, acknowledging he had strayed a bit from the point. From there, he says, "It all started a few hundred years ago when I accidentally burned down a town..."
Making a dumbfounded expression, Andromeda thought to herself, 'Accidentally... how would y-? you know what... never mind.'
Veldora's voice echoed through the cave as he spoke, "So, a human hero had come looking to slay me... Obviously one as great as me would underestimate my opponent, I'm one of the 4 true dragons after all... who would be stronger than that?"
After his little arrogant tangent, he continued the short, low detail story, "So anyway, I wasn't fighting with my full strength until part of the way through."
Then, surprisingly, he proudly states, "But I still lost!"
As Veldora had a small pause, Andromeda interjected with, "But... how could a human beat a true dragon like you? You seem really really strong."
Once again letting out a hearty booming laugh that shook the cave, he said, "I never could have expected that the human hero, who called herself a summon, would have the unique skill『Unlimited Imprisonment』"
Andromeda responded with, "Wow... so that's what this is... It must be powerful if even you can't break out of it... hopefully my unique skill can counter this one..."
Nodding in approval of her little comment, Veldora responds with, "Mmm, mmm. I agree, it would be very nice if you could break this seal for me!"
Veldora then began to say, "Anyway... this hero, she had what was called a divine protection. Just like you! With that... and her second unique skill, 『Absolute Severance』she was able to overpower me! A true dragon! How strange is that? But I wasn't going down without a fight of course... not that it mattered because her seal ended everything before I could really get down to business."
The tale has been taken without authorization; if you see it on Amazon, report the incident.
As if Andromeda was peeking her little lizard head into Veldora's thought bubble, she makes a little comment, "Didn't you say you were giving it your all halfway through?"
Then Veldora coughed, and nervously said, "Uh... no- I uh, I was making a joke! HAHAHAHAHA Yes! You see, if I didn't underestimate her she would have easily been defeated! It was all a mistake! I would never lose to a human like that!"
Veldora peeked down at Andromeda to see if she believed him, and like a good friend, she pretended to believe him so he would feel better. Smirking- however it was possible for a dragon, Veldora then, while twiddling his draconic thumbs asked, "So... what was your idea to free me?"
Answering him, Andromeda said, "Well... I have two proposals. One of them is a lot safer than the other, but it will take a much longer time. First, I can use my unique skill Sacrifice to sacrifice the seal... I have no idea if this will work because I've only ever used the skill twice... and it did a lot more than intended."
Without elaborating, she then said, "The other option is to sacrifice anything else to break you out of there... I don't know what price I would have to pay for that, though. Unsealing a dragon of your stature might take an unfathomable amount of... well... anything... but it could happen nonetheless."
Veldora, both happy and sad at the same time, says, "Well, of course it would take a lot to break one such as me out! HAHAHAHAHAhaha..... but, you will try to get me out right? I- I'll take the chance with the one that might kill me... if you don't want to take all that time sacrificing stuff to get me out..."
Quickly, Andromeda shuts down the idea to recklessly use her skill with the possibility of killing him. She really hated the idea of killing anything, even worse, killing a friend. She was a scientist at heart, not a warmonger, not a leader, not a warrior. Killing was not, and would not, be something she wanted to do.
The both of them lose track of time talking, but- after a little while, her little stomach grumbles a bit... she isn't free from hunger like Veldora after all. She was thinking of telling him how she wanted to go find something to eat.
Veldora caught note of this, hearing her hunger and noticing her intent. Shyly, he said, "After you eat... you will come back to spend more time with me... right?"
Andromeda, as she began to walk away, responded, "Yes, it's not like I have anything to do. Plus, I don't even know how to leave this cave... so I see your company as a gift. Nobody else would be down here to talk to anyway."
As she wandered off, she thought to herself, 'I need to do more experimentation to see if I can sacrifice only the seal...'
Finally, as she arrived in a massive room. Completely filled to the brim with different plants, crystals, even a few peaceful looking animals. She wanted to sacrifice them to achieve at least a humanoid appearance.
She deduced this as being a possibility... a painful one, but a possibility nonetheless. She thought to herself, 'If I didn't specify what was required before... and it sacrificed what I assume to be the necessary amount of these crystals to improve my scales... If I don't specify an amount, will it automatically figure it out?'
So, standing in the middle of the grand cave- after taking a decent snack from a few crystals, she thought, 'Sacrifice. I sacrifice the resources in my surroundings for a humanoid form.'
Black flames, mixed with their red highlights, erupted from her body at once and began consuming everything around her. All while she mentally prepared herself for the pain that was to come.
