Chapter 12: Scripture Pavillion

Chapter 12: Scripture Pavillion

Qin Mei sighed as she looked at the courtyard within her sight.

It really wasn't that dilapidated, but ofcourse, there was a difference when compared to the one she had back in the Great Qin dynasty, a rather big one in fact!

Going from the nice courtyard to the one before her now would certainly take her some time to adapt.

She was starting to feel a tinge of regret choosing to come here.

"Forget this, I must hurry up and become stronger!", with every passing moment in the rising sun sect, Qin Mei only felt an increase in urgency.

She was now but of the lowest level of disciples in the rising sun sect.

There were many other outer sect discipleslike her, presumably also in the same cultivation level as her, with some stronger than her.

They were most likely cultivating with all of their strength in order to gain the qualifications to be promoted to an inner disciple

She put on the outer disciple robe that the outer sect elder Zhao Feng had given to her.

It was a simple white robe that wasn't as luxurious as the one outer sect Elder Zhao Feng had worn, yet it was still of pretty decent quality.

When Qin Mei changed into it, she found it to be very comfortable, and felt the power of the Qi in her dantian rise a little.

Though the amount was pitful, the fact that it could increase the power of her spiritual qi in her dantian in itself meant that it was a nice treasure in her eyes.

"Elder Lin had said there'd be a pavillion which stored countless various techniques. I must get some to vary my attacking methods!

With that in mind, Qin Mei quickly left her courtyard and soared into the air, searching for the Rising Sun Sect's scripture pavillion.

Along the way as she flew in the air, she saw many other cultivators who were adorned in the same outer disciple robe she was.

Some flew in the air like her, some on different treasures while to her amazement some flew on swords, looking like sword deities traveling through the mortal realm!

Qin Mei took note of this.

Flying in the air on a sword definitely looked more pleasing to the eye than just casually flying in the air.

This tale has been unlawfully obtained from Royal Road. If you discover it on Amazon, kindly report it.

She put it on her list of many techniques she aimed to learn first.

No one paid her any mind as she was heading towards the scripture pavillion, everyone seemed to only focus on themselves.

Qin Mei didn't mind this, as a majestic pavilion soon entered her sight.

She quickly flew down, and approached the pavillion, anticipating in her mind as she entered.

There was a sleeping elder behind the counter, who looked up in interest when he sensed her."Name!"

"Qin Mei!"

"New disciple? Alright, as an outer disciple, you are entitled to choose 3 tenchniques from the pavillion. Choose wisely, for the next time sect points are required.", The elder casually waved his hand which caused Qin Mei's vision to blur, before falling back asleep

In an instant, Qin Mei found herself surrounded on all sides by a countless shelves filled with books.

Qin Mei felt slightly stunned. "Whats with all of these powerful experts always being so sudden?"

Atleast notify her where was going to be sent to

This was the second time this had happened to her. The first was when that outer sect elder had casually grabbed her and brought her into the sect leaving her no time to react.

It only made Qin Mei realize how weak she was, and how great of a difference in strength there was between them.

"Did you recently join the sect? You seem unfamiliar.", she heard a voice behind her, and once Qin Mei turned to the voice she saw a girl of captivating young girl with silky black hair

She had captivating eyes that complimented her facial features, but the aura she brought out was one of belligerence

Qin Mei was suprised that the girl could get so close to her without alerting her.

Indeed, this Rising Sun Sect was full of crouching tigers and hidden dragons.

Not knowing of her intentions, she nodded in response, before asking something that had bothered her the moment she arrived, "Do you know where the sword section is?"

It wasn't exactly her fault, it's just that this library was far too large.

Without any external help, Qin Mej reckoned she'd have spent days before finding it.

That was only a casual estimate, as she hadn't yet explored the vast library

The young girl smiled as she sensed her troubles, feeling the need to help as she had also been lost at first, "Sword section? Follow me, I'll lead you to it."

Along the way, the girl introduced herself as Jian Kexin.

"When did you join the Rising Sun Sect?" Qin Mei felt curious towards this Jian Kexin. She also wanted to find out more about the sect through her.

She currently only had a preliminary understanding of the Rising Sun Sect through Elder Lin

"It wasn't too long ago, just last year. I'm curious as to how you reached the Desolate Palace realm at such a young age!" Jian Kexin looked at her, eyes narrowed in slight amazement.

Qin Mei slightly frowned

Her answer was fairly simple, talent. Yet, she wasn't sure she could trust a random outer disciple she had just met

Who knows, what if she seeked to kill her, to cut down a potential genius in the future?

So, Qin Mei quickly came up with the most believable explanation she could

"It's just the resources my family have give me since young had accumulated, which caused my potential to explode."

"You're very fortunate!", Jian Kexin didn't ask further. She wasn't sure whether or not Qin Mei was speaking of the truth, but paid no heed.

Being born into a wealthy family was certainly luck

As they were speaking, they arrived at the sword section. "Junior Sister, this is the sword techniques section of the library, I have to go, may we perhaps meet again."

Before Jian Kexin left, she showed her the directions of the other sections in case she needed it, and then turned away to leave

"I hope to one day see how strong you are in the star battle realm."
