“Go! Bring me the heads of those teen brats!!!”

Upon hearing their master’s words, the bodyguards sprinted to engage the brothers of the Yorihide family.

Yamazaki concentrated and made his first move by using one of his shurikens to execute a ranged attack on the yari ninja. He managed to pull off a quick hurl which sent the shuriken cutting through the air. The yari ninja just avoided his throw by taking cover behind a wooden box. He then followed Yamazaki by producing three eight-pointed shurikens from his robe pocket. The shurikens were thrown at the same time with extreme precision. Yamazaki tried thrusting into the air to dodge the bullets by swinging his body. But the clanging noise of metal made him land on the ground.

Yamazaki was full of surprise upon seeing how the shurikens were blocked by Nakamura unintentionally when he was fighting the other Ninja.

"Well, that was nice."

Nakamura’s vertical nodachi slash triggered the sai ninja to roll away. While he was rolling away, Nakamura rushed behind and deployed some Makibishi on the ground. The sai ninja wasn't able to sense the incoming danger as Nakamura pretended to attack him from the front, which made him lose the alertness that he had maintained during the entire time. A while later, a roar of pain echoed around the area as the Makibishi was embedded in the back of the sai shinobi.

"Why you.."

The pain converted into anger, which made the sai shinobi fire one of his sai at Nakamura. But he was left with no options as he had left his weapon behind. He tried leaning towards a nearby tree to dodge the attack. His attempt reduced the impact a lot, but couldn't stop the sai from damaging his left arm. The superfast slingshot sliced through Nakamura's arm but the wound was not that severe as it barely produced blood. Nakamura made a quick retreat to plan his next move.

Yamazaki on the other hand, was having a tough time fighting his opponent, the bodyguard armed with a yari. His Sōjutsu was much stronger than Yamazaki's Naginatajutsu and was dominating Yamazaki with his long-ranged attacks.

"This guy is too good. This is a problem. We are both using mid to long-range weapons, so it is quite difficult for both of us to get closer to each other. Okay...Let me see."

Yamazaki's thinking continued for about two seconds yet he was quickly interrupted by the Yari shinobi who had struck his yari in an attempt to rip through Yamazaki's stomach. Yamazaki's reaction was fast enough and he dashed away to safety.

"If I can get closer to him, I might be able to deal a heavy blow."

Not wanting to waste time, the Yari shinobi continued his fight by striking his yari while aiming for Yamazaki's head. Yamazaki took the opportunity and darted his last shuriken at him as a means of countering his enemy.

"Die, Yamazaki!"

After a casual deflect from his Yari, the Yari shinobi rushed towards his opponent with anger and thudded his Yari, anticipating a flesh-piercing sound and a warm spray of blood emitting from the fresh corpse of Yamazaki. He was then sprung into a state of excitement after witnessing his weapon dip right into the plaster wall which Yamazaki had been standing in front of just a moment ago. Yamazaki's sudden disappearance caused a strong sensation of frustration inside the yari ninja.

"Surprise!!"

As the line ended, a horizontal slash from a naginata cut through the thighs of the yari ninja. The damaged blood veins started pouring red, warm blood mixed with the bitterness of the pain on the soil. The yari ninja dropped to his knees and was sunk into a state of unconsciousness with open wounds by Yamazaki with his horizontal fist punch.

"Yeah! One down!"

Yamazaki turned to his brother’s side, only to see him holding off against the sai ninja with an injured arm. He jumped to assist Nakamura shouting,

"Brother, I will help you!"

"No. Yamazaki. Let me finish him off."

Nakamura's refusal obstructed Yamazaki from taking another step. His face was soon oversaturated with frustration but Nakamura resisted and continued the fight.

Though Nakamura had got his hand injured, he could damage both arms of his opponent, causing the sai ninja to pull up his guard. While keeping his defences high, he moved for an offensive. Taking Nakamura's slowness as an advantage, the sai ninja tried to penetrate Nakamura's body from two points by using the sharp edges of the sai.

Bang!

The sai ninja was full of amazement.

The heavy nodachi of Nakamura had blocked the attacks that he had put so much hope into. Continuing the offensive, the sai ninja pushed his weapon into Nakamura. The attack resulted in injuring Nakamura's arms as the sharp ends of the sai pierced through his skin. Yamazaki was disgusted at his brother’s amateur move. The bloody hands and the nodachi of Nakamura had sent some serious shocks through Yamazaki.

"Brother! Why did you do that?"

The sai ninja laughed in a victorious voice.

"Huh, you fat fool, why did you block my attack by sacrificing your own hands?"

The quick response that the Sai shinobi was expecting didn't turn out to be a quick one. Nakamura shook his head slowly in response to his words.

"Well…."

"Huh?"

"Because I wanted to make you repent for your mistakes."

Adrenaline surged through the sai ninja's body, forcing him to retreat with his weapons. But he was devastated by a shiver of fear. Though he tried putting all his strength into pulling back his weapon, it was of no use. The hooks of the sai were firmly tightened into the nodachi, making it impossible to move.

"Oh! Just when he was about to stab my brother with his sai, he purposefully held the blade with his bare hands which helped him to use it as a diversion to buy him some time to tag a bit of his long sai into his nodachi. Nice work brother!!!"

The sai ninja strived to escape from the predicament right after his head processed the information. But his fearful face of the sai ninja was soon erased by Nakamura, who had knocked out the sai ninja with a strong headbutt. His headbutt was strong enough to crack the forehead of the yari ninja, simultaneously driving him into an unconscious state with blood oozing through his forehead.

"He is down." Nakamura started panting.

"Nice work guys!!"

"It seems like those nitwits couldn't take them down. I suppose it's my turn to drag them into the abyss."

"It's you." Yamazaki turned to see the Yamabushi walking towards him.

After appearing in front of the Teen Ninjas, the Yamabushi removed his hat and started speaking while chuckling at the same time.

"Job well done, you filthy animals. So, are you ready to take me down?"

"We are…." Yamazaki banged his naginata on the ground.

"Oh, don't get so upset children. I won't be easy on you. Get ready."

Ending his speech, he slowly removed his robe, exposing his upper body to the watching teens. The Yamabushi was delighted to notice the flabbergasted faces of Kento and the others, who had been driven into a startled state of confusion after seeing his body.

Kento started blubbering.

"What??? Don't tell me….."

Kumiko took over,

"This is impossible! His heart…. It is the….”

The Teen Ninjas were so astonished that they were unable to speak. Seeing their difficult condition, the Yamabushi decided to explain, driving them into an even more terrible state of speechlessness.

"Yes. What your eyes are seeing is reality! My heart….is the Tourmaline of Mobility!"
